In my opinion, bl needs always sufficiently romance because it's literally boy LOVE. Otherwise it's not bl. (LGBTQ+ dramas are again a different thing.) Jack & Joker didn't have enough romance. Those scenes were rare, but ofc it's still bl. I was however disappointed. Sufficient can mean different things to people it seems, but I need them both equally.

GMMTV always has toned down series. Better not expect something else. I still think there was a plot though and the guys were supposed to be those macho men, so naturally sex was a part of the story. If not, then the series would have been even more juvenile. Dunk is not a great actor, but at least he was a bit better than before in THK. Khaotung was the best of them all as expected.

Being meant to be together doesn't mean you need a random meeting as kids. Who has meant kids to be together? They are just kids. No need to figure out who they will love as adults. It's a trope I dislike a lot and it's used too often. People who have nothing in common in life just randomly have met somewhere as kids and can remember that and even crazier, they are looking for someone they met as kids. Sure.
