"Sultan Süleymān is a proud name for Turkey and all Muslims" - All Muslims? Pretty sure not everyone is proud…
It is one of the rules of Islam tho, isn't it? That's not an opinion at all. Of course, people are free to choose if they stand by this rule or not but it is a rule nonetheless.
Thank you for the article, I feel like 2021 was the most empty year for me for k-dramas, I found myself mostly watching c-dramas. I watched a few dramas that were released this year but it was mostly old dramas that I didn't get to chance to watch. I can say the drama that I enjoyed the most in 2021 was Sell Your Haunted House, even tho there were lacking points it was fresh and really enjoyable.
I'm really impressed, your article made me think about why and how I choose the media I consume and I was able to figure out why I didn't consume local media (that wasn't about me and still doesn't represents me at all) and how foreign media was the easier choice for me since I expected and was okay with what it's representing being different from me. I really enjoyed reading your article. It was well written and understandable. I'll be thinking more about it every time I'm watching a show.
I'm on episode 15 and I'm already done and over about the second male lead, he is just so villainy and so pushy, he doesn't offer any sincerity to the FL and he's just flatly chasing her for the heck of it. There's no touching moment between them, he uses his profession as a card against her and that takes out the possibility of any meaningful interaction. Honestly even the way he dresses gives me the creeps. I really like the main couple, and the way ML treats FL. They respect each other, they have a connection, I find their relationship very mature. I'm curious about how it'll progress after this episode.
