it started out as the FL being a stand in for the ML's childhood sweetheart( his so called white moonlight ) but after they started being in a relationship the ML quickly started to fall for the FL. and when the time came for the divorce, the FL decided to propose it by herself and leave the ML with her head held high cause the FL knew from the start she was just a stand in for the ML's white moonlight, I think the ML mentioned it when they were signing the contract or something. but when the so called white moonlight came back the ML actively pushed her away not even showing any affection or sympathy cause he knew he loves the FL. to be infant, the ML never actually loved his so called white moonlight, he was childhood friends with the so called white moonlight and he taught that was love, something naive people always do, until the ML met the FL, the ML came understand what is love. The ML even says in the drama that the first ever person he loved is actually the FL. and ML didn't had any intimacy with the so called white moonlight, technically the FL was,his first in everything, first love, first kiss etc. it is a good dram but it is filled with numerous typical clichés but it was still watchable and wasn't that unbearable like a lot of dramas out there. and here we have a ML actively trying to pursue the FL back to clear up the misunderstanding and make the FL his girlfriend. and a FL that doesn't cry and beg to be taken back or act sympathetic and pathetic.
