Emotionally prepared for heartache. If you don't like angst, maybe it's not for you. If you like a good rips-out-your-heart-while-you-ask-for-more story, then go for it!
Just fyi for potential viewers... the ending is after the credits. Luckily the subbers on the version I watched made a note so viewers keep watching through. 👍
ohhhh...much excitement! I'm about to start binging on this! Just finished Love o2o and if this is as good then...ohhhh!!!!!
Yang Yang has such a baby face in that when I watch it now! Super cute. But the last 5 or so years have treated him well cuz he's smoking hot in You Are My Glory
Daaang this is definitely one of those shows that is better than the book. Don't get me wrong, the book is great! And it's the source material, so there would be no show without it... but these actors are just breathing amazing life into the characters. The book is great, but this show is just too fantastic. I watch with subs and I spend so much time rewatching a scene just so I can pay attention to their faces and subtle reactions. <3<3<3 Great job all around.
If anyone cares, I'm trying my hand at the English translation for the book. There are other versions out there, but I'm having fun working on it while I wait for the next episodes to come out:
Ji-hoon is killing his role in At a Distance, Spring is Green. I truly felt like I wasn't a fan of his acting after I dropped Flower Crew and Love Revolution, but when I saw the trailer for Spring is Green, his whole look and feel just drew me in. And damn, at episode 4 he is more than living up to whatever magic pulled me in. Very impressed with his take on this character. Very excited to watch more episodes.
I am really digging this show. I wish that the show runners had more faith in their storytelling, though, because these flashbacks are not needed. Perhaps they're trying to fill in time? Oh well, it isn't detracting too much though I feel like it might make a rewatch intolerable. As it is, I'm so excited for the next episode and so intrigued by the characters and how they will change each other.
how does this movie have such a high rating it seems as if theres no real story to the movie?
You ever listen to a conversation about a topic you don't know much about, like music or sports, and find the discussion boring even though other people are fully engaged the whole time because they *understand* it? It might be like that for you with the movie.
i thought i won't like futuristic sci-fi movies but this one was good... i guess my only dislike with the movie…
Imo that's what made the villain so believable. He's clearly an Elon Musk type, and anyone who doesn't believe Musk is absolutely that self aggrandizing and pathetic is misguided.
I agree, she 27 and he's 21. She looks older than everyone else. They try to make her look young but it isn't…
Ditto. Not to compare to the c version, but one of the reasons that one worked so well IMO was because Shen Yue played youthful sweetness so perfectly. With the k version, I can't see it.
In my opinion Chinese version is overrated....There was nothing special in starting....I keep waiting for their…
For me, when I rewatched the C version, I was pretty blown away with how many subtle moments I missed from the ML. The ML was constantly aware of the FL and clearly liked her and made decisions specifically because of her, from the very first episode. The character just didn't want to date in high school (uptight student) and didn't know how to express himself to her. That's why they broke up. That's why they got back together (after his confession with the 2nd ML).
Alright, so I watched it and enjoyed the main romance well enough, but our main dude is a major pickup-artist type. Like, he's one step away from running a 'women are only good for one thing so its good to emotionally manipulate them actually seminar' at the beginning. I did like that he was a major softie and huge romance nerd, but the set up? Blech.
I absolutely wouldn't recommend it due to the casual transphobia.
I wasn't bothered by the random last-minute amnesia, since its called Meloholic and it never once shied away from the far-out trope of 'split personality
The REAL mystery of the whole thing is whether or not Han Jae Suk (the friend dating Ye Ri's friend) is related to Yoon Shi Yoon. His voice, his smile.... they must come from the same gene pool.
Am I the only one who can't stand the concubine and the way she acts? She keeps getting angry at Mr Queen for…
I feel like her character is hilarious as the "typical" evil 2nd lead, constantly mistaking the seduction attempts my the Queen as scheming for the King's attention.
Much of the show is bloated, imo, including the concubine character. I like her interactions with the Queen but that's about it. (I feel this way about literally every character)
Kim Seul Gi role in this drama is not good enough for her talent, hopefully she gets more better roles
Her talent is fierce, it's true, but I'm loving her role here. Her character is the most competent out of them all and she and the MC definitely have an amazingly fun female friendship.
