Yeah I noticed that too :/ also I wanted to say tho that much of like gen z chinese people are actually 100% for lgbtq+ people ! It’s not allowed on tv which is upsetting, and much of the older generations think it’s weird, but yeah, the younger generations are becoming okay with it more and more. There are Douyin’s with gay couples, and this famous girl named Liu Meng was on a show called produce camp 2020 and she has about 3 million followers on Weibo and 5.1 million followers on Douyin ! She’s openly a part of the lgbtq+ community and had a girlfriend as well :)) I just wanted to let you know because while tv definitely doesn’t allow much representation there, most of the Chinese youth are actually completely fine with it
