Anyone know if this show will also include the events of the sequel novel, 雪山飞狐 Xueshan Fei Hu? Or are there perhaps plans for a seperate adaptation of the sequel novel?

There's multiple instances of Wuxia novels (including those also written by Jin Yong) featuring disabled people as top fighters, with their disability never described in the disgusting ways that episode did. Just think if Yang Guo for example.
Ableism is discrimination against people with disabilities. All the subtext of the dialogue as well as the symbolism with the flower reviving as Hu Fei was healing seemed to imply that if Hu Fei's leg didn't heal and he lived with a disability he'd be worth less as a person. Yuan Ziyi also used an ableist slur which I won't repeat here as it's considered offensive. Yeah, I didn't like episode 13 at all, which was a shame since I was really into the show before. Episode 14 really came through strong tho.
What is going on... Hu Fei just turned into a manipulative lying creep, and Yuan Ziyi turned into an ableist cvnt who thinks Hu Fei would be worth less as a person if his leg didn't heal... Rn I'm just watching for MRF, they better not ruin his character smh
I really love it so far! Bit surprised that Chunhua and some other characters from the beginning of the show seem to have just been dropped for now tho. Would also like to know what Mrs. Shang is up to, she was introduced as a major antagonist at the start and then just dipped.

Yuh MRF is a bit hot isn't he xD The way Nan Lan is written really pisses me of ngl. Like, her entire character at the start was just being MRF's husband and fainting whenver something happened to him... That's now way to write a good female character, she literally added nothing to the story at that point... and then when she finally did stuff it was all just infuriating
I wanted him to yeet Tian Guinong so badly hahaha. Great that he got his kid back at least, it feels deserved. Shitty for the mom of course but like... I don't have that much sympathy for her honestly
I adherently dislike this version. It's like they gave character descriptions and a basic plot outline to a writers' room of ten year olds that never read the novel. It's draggy, there's no suspense; I didn't think such a grand suspenseful novel could be turned into something this utterly annoying. I'm not sure whether they started like at chapter 10 of the novel or at the beginning; that's how confusing they made the narrative. Lin Pingzhi knows Linghu Chong, but not the other way around. Most interesting. The introduction of LHC in the original novel is mayhaps one of my favorite main character introductions in any work of fiction. What did they do here? Well he just kinda appears, i don't even remember, that's how underwhelming it was. It's safe to say that not a single person working on this read the original novel. At least Dongfang Bubai is actually a transsexual guy and not a woman who dresses up as a man (wth @ yu zheng; tsui hark) The cinematography is all right. The CGI of snake and insect are visually acceptable, but don't seem like solid objects. The cloths look to colorful and bright. The Hua Shan guy (Yue Buqun?) for some reason wears a purple gown that would suit his wife more than him. Of the cast, I only like their Dongfang Bubai and the poison lady. The Indonesian-looking guy with the modern haircut doesn't fit. Nor does it that a 20 year old calls Linghu Chong (who looks like 10) his da shixiong. The OST is absolutely horrible. Apart from the opening song, which is ripped directly from Tsui Hark's 90s movies, all other songs either don't fit or are bad. There's english language adlib in the ending song, which is rap/hip hop for some reason. Also, i never thought i would dislike a playing of The Clink by Alastair Gavin (song from A Step into the Past) but they played it at a completely random time, not mixing it into the sound well, and cut it off too promptly. So yeah, I dropped it.
