I think in terms of relations, it is just because all the MLs are Jutatheps and the FLs are Dhevaproms (these 2 families have bad history beef regarding broken promise marriages between each other) so they solve the bad blood between them by falling in love again in the next generation unexpectedly 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think generally you can watch each of them separately as stand alones if you are focused on the romantic love story of the ML & FL, not interested in the family lore and drama. But if you want to connect the dots and the relations between the family drama history then you can watch all for the full experience! For me, I skipped watching Laorchan and started with Kwanruetai first. For the backstory I just did some fandom research on the Jutathep and Dhevaprom beef and got the gist of it. Then breezed through Jaipisut and now I’m currently at Dujupsorn.

I find that the ML (Peak) looks a little similar to GMMTV actor Earth. In another universe they could play as brothers 🫢

By far the best installment out of the 4 that came out so far. The acting by both ML and FL is natural and compliments each other. I found myself genuinely laughing and fangirling over the sweet flirty moments of them 👍🏻🤍 So far with EP 4, it is a solid 8.5/10 for me!

I think she will not even fall for him as she already sees him as someone who is flirty & a nuisance, maybe as a friend that quarrels with you so i wonder how that will play out. Maybe there will be an incident where they have to be in an arranged marriage tgt. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Really hope that’s the case, but I’m just preparing myself for the worse as the trailer seems to show him getting punished by the Royal soldiers & getting chased. If it’s not the king i don’t know who else with a higher authority than the king would hand out this punishment to General Ling…🤔

Unfortunately this happens in most Asian families in real life. Due to the culture of always needing to respect & listen to the elders, they have huge ego & will never think themselves wrong. It will only result you in being called unfilial. That’s why the grandmother became so spoilt, thinks herself so highly that everyone & everything must revolve ard her. That’s what happens when you give someone too much authority & put them too high a pedestal. Luckily Yang Yi, Niao Niao’s mother is not a pushover & can stand her ground.

Just finished episode 14 & here are my thoughts:

1. Marriage talk between ShaoShang (Niao Niao) & her mother (Yang Yi)
- I get the mother’s worry & she is actually quite spot on in seeing that Lou Yao is not a good match for Niao Niao as her husband. Like other viewers said, he is from an aristocratic family, the life she will lead will not be the life Niao Niao wants even if Lou Yao seems lot share the same aspirations as her. Niao Niao already lacks proper education & upbringing, how will she survive in that aristocratic family? Furthermore, Lou Yao is like a well-behaved puppy who is not that confident & strong enough to protect or keep up with Niao Niao’s strong personality. Only someone who’s a strong person can support her seeing that all her life no one did for her. Lou Yao even ran away when he was caught with Niao Niao by the mother. Though i’m not saying that Lou Yao is a bad prospect, he is a great nice boy but just not what Niao Niao needs for a life partner. She also doesn’t understand yet that a marriage should be when both parties love each other cause then will they be able to go through hell & hardships together, which is what her mother worries as well even though she phrased it meanly. Yang Yi, her mother, should have explained it more gently instead of speaking into her the way she would speak to a soldier. But as we all know, her pride got the best of her. And because she phrased it like that (& worse she ignored all the hard work that Nia Niao has done), Niao Niao also feels the need to retaliate against her mom, even though the mother had a good intention. As someone who comes from an Asian family, i understand how Niao Niao feels all too perfectly well… But only when Niao Niao experience, test the waters & get more outside-exposure will she learn from it. She might feel the freedom away from her mom which is great for her independence but it’s only in the moment, not for the long run in the future. Both parties are at fault but i would personally blame the mother more as Niao Niao became like this due to her impartiality & ego & due to that, Niao Niao feel that she’s worthless & that’s why she has a low self esteem, does not have the confidence to believe that someone would genuinely fall in love with her & is willing to settle for less/ the first guy she meets.

2. General Ling when he heard Niao Niao & Lou Yao talk
- I feel so bad that General Ling (Ling Bu Yi) misunderstood what Niao Niao said. I think when she said ‘hands tainted with blood’, i think she meant those who kill for greed & power. Even though General Ling kills to protect & uphold justice, he still is too hard on himself. He probably thinks that he doesn’t deserve to be with her as he will lead a life filled bloodshed anyway, be it good or bad & doesn’t want to involve her in this kind of life. His whole family background is already so gruesome & broken, set on a path of revenge how can he drag Niao Niao, who deserves good things in life, to accompany him? If she did hate people with blood stained hands, she would have hated her father and brothers already. Poor boy 🥲.

3. The King
- At last we finally see the King! It’s so cute that he tried being a matchmaker once he found out that General Ling likes Niao Niao HAHA. From his interaction with Ling Bu Yi, we can see (for now) that he cares for him like he would his son. However, i can’t shake the feeling that he might not be as just as he seems because when General Ling stated points that is reasonable enough to get rid of the enemy, the King just dismissed it for nostalgia & switched the topic to marriage. Maybe it’s because he is too benevolent & forgiving? Soft emperor? Really can’t tell but i hope he won’t be the mastermind behind their whole incident. Cause in the first episode i remover General Ling say that the King wanted him to drop the case. Seems suspicious to me. Well, only time will tell…..

YES! I literally screamed when they revealed that Kim was waiting behind Porchay 🥹

And Porchay’s ‘Yes!’ was so funny. It’s like he was celebrating his boyfie’s victory HAHAH

I have the scene of Kim protecting Porchay & fighting all those bad guys imprinted in my head 🤧🥴 HE WAS SO HOT DOING THAT & FOR WHAT??? FOR PORCHAY TO JUST PLAY HIS GAME PEACEFULLY LMAO HAHAH. Then after that he just casually smokes outside the steps, waiting toto make sure that Porchay got out safe & left after that with that swagger, *chefs kiss* 🤌🏻 Literally replayed that scene like more than 10 times. I can’t stop thinking about it. I NEED SEASON 2 WITH MORE OF THEM 🥲

Omg when you mentioned Tiger & Rose I’m like YASSS🥰 Loved the drunk scene too! It was so cute seeing Han Shuo trying to get her back & her being upset.😂 I too liked the humour there & honestly the female characters that Lu si played in both these dramas have similarity in terms of them being level-headed most of the time. Just a little more silliness & comedic for Tiger & Rose.

Oh yea I guess i read that wrongly! In my head I alr knew who the ‘Miss Feng’ they were referring to was, and I forgot Minister Feng is also a ‘Feng’. 😅

I hope they will not write Miss Huan to be those jealous girls that will treat the female lead badly just because they like the male lead and think they deserve to be with him rather than her…Cause now she has learnt of Hei FengXi’s attraction to Bai FengXi & she doesn’t seem too happy. They have already made most of the female characters level-headed, General Feng & Bai FengXi. (But definitely not that whiny, jealous biatch 2nd queen 😤.) I hope they write her character to handle it well. After all she served the 1st queen & Hei FengXi himself, if she turned evil it would be a waste.
