exactly like he has such great deep manly voice but sadly he can't explore more ways to deliver his lines more impressively like his costar junghyun, he always knows how to control his tone. I really like how he often adds interjections (?) in between his lines. That technique makes his lines sound more natural and catchy.
many dont realize that it's not only bcs of the writing for jaepil sucks but it's also bcs the acting unfortunately is uninteresting. as you can see the actor had a lot of big emotional outburst scenes in ep 10 but the scene where jaepil and his father finally cleared the air at a cemetery was the only one that was convincing. idk if it's bcs of the directing but back to the ep 4 scene where jaepil and sangcheol visiting youngrye's mother at the hospital, the acting choice for jaepil is weird. i know he was supposed to show no interest in youngrye but it really feels like he was more disgusted by her at that moment when he gave out the flattest annyeong tone and he couldnt even look at her but immediately stared at the floor and froze lol. yeah this is his first leading role i hope he could pull it better next time
