Unmet is a romantic medical drama with a much better focus on the female lead's point of view and the emotions of people with chronic/ terminal illness or disability. Performances are outstanding as it features a mix of talented young actors as well as seasoned actors, who nail both the sentimental as well as moral/ ethical themes of this beautifully crafted drama.

She dreams of becoming an actress and, having had some local notoriety in her town, she is ready to take a leap of faith and travel to Tokyo to audition. But, as fate would have it, her hopes are dashed as her world and her country are turned upside down when Japan is struck by the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011.
