Yun Seok Hun is a partner lawyer and leader of the litigation team at Yullim Law Firm. He is a cool-headed risk-taker who pressures his opponents with creative logic. He is admired by his colleagues for his solid skills as a lawyer, but he is not easy to approach because of his cold attitude and complete lack of small talk. Kang Hyo Min is a rookie lawyer and works with Yun Seok Hun. She is socially awkward, but she is righteous and confident. She clashes with Yun Seok Hun over everything, but grows into a real lawyer.
Both dramas have
-a fictional world based on a script
-female leads who have to fight against the script
-characters that are victims of prejudiced thinking and harsh judgement by others
-a story that questions the popular or common patterns of story telling in idol romance dramas
-make a point about the "supporting characters" also being people, not furniture to fill space around the "main couple" so it doesn't look to empty
-romance that doesn't consist of fluff, but building a real connection between two people, while the circumstances don't make it easy for them
-bloody scenes/torture
-a story that is worth thinking about

The Dream Life of Mr. Kim and Misaeng: Incomplete Life are similar in their exploration of the Korean salaryman’s struggle within a rigid and demanding corporate culture. Both center on quiet, ordinary office workers whose lives are defined by monotonous routines, social hierarchies, and a constant sense of pressure and inadequacy. While Misaeng portrays these realities through gritty realism and emotional authenticity, The Dream Life of Mr. Kim uses surreal, dreamlike sequences to express the same internal conflict and yearning for escape. Together, they offer a powerful critique of modern work life, showing how individuals fight to maintain dignity, identity, and hope within systems that often overlook their humanity.
Similarities:
- Gong Seung Yeon plays both female lead's
- Period Dramas
- South Korean Dramas
- Comedy and Romance Dramas
- Hardworking female lead
Differences:
- Song Soo Jung (My Only Love Song) is a top star who goes back in time
- Gae Ddong (Flower Crew) is a woman who lost her brother, and has her former lover leave her, since he becomes king and falls inlove with another man
Notes:
- The male lead actor in My Only Love Song, also known as Lee Jong Hyun, is a problematic individual and I do not support his actions (do what you wish with this information)
- I mainly suggests this because of the female lead Gong Seung Yeon

Meet you at the blossom is a Chinese wuxia bI drama. This show definitely had flaws but it’s one of my comfort shows. I added it here because it was another Chinese bI and yeah they have some same tags!!
Set in Republic of China

In WFKBJ (K-Drama) Leads have a childhood connection and meet again in university. The drama is centered around their university lives and navigating through that. Definitely one of those lighthearted friendship tropes with lots of fun and laughter, and heartfelt friendship moments.
In GSOT (Filipino Drama), the leads are childhood best friends and our ml is crushing hard on our fl with our fl first being clueless and later rejecting his confession by saying he's confused, they too have very sweet wholesome interactions as best friends.
