As Oda Nobunaga's unification of Japan looms large, a mysterious religion called "Kinmekyo" spreads across the southern part of Lake Biwa. Those who do not believe in it are said to suffer a horrible curse. Determined to uncover the truth, Nobunaga secretly calls upon a masked ninja to investigate the Kinmekyo. Thus begins the tale of a young shinobi, who rises from the shadows to become none other than Masked Ninja Akakage. (Source: Japanese = TV Asahi || Translation = kisskh)

If you’re drawn to stories that blend tradition with youthful energy, both Chihayafuru: Full Circle and Miss King offer heartfelt narratives that celebrate perseverance, artistry, and the bonds forged through shared passion.
Both are action BL dramas about a killer/mafia couple. The Journey to Killing You is a Japanese BL while Long Time No See is a Korean BL.
If you want intense bromance and thriller, gotta try this. Like Luo Weizhou and Fei Du, the leads in Beyond Evil — Lee Dong-sik and Han Joo-won — share a tense, complex partnership built on mistrust, trauma, and an obsessive pursuit of truth. With its slow-burn storytelling, morally gray characters, and chilling atmosphere, Beyond Evil dives deep into the blurred lines between justice and guilt. It’s an emotional, beautifully crafted exploration of darkness, redemption, and the monsters we carry within.
I recommend The Red Envelope because it is a remake of Marry My Dead Body. Mainly it is because these comedies are all about ghost marriage contracts and involved in the same gender marriage.
I recommend The Red Envelope as well since it's a remake of the original Marry My Dead Body. Mainly is because these comedies are about ghost marriage contracts and both are involved in the same gender marriage. The protagonists were destined to meet after reincarnation since they have ties with each other in their past lives.
There are a few similarities between this and Marry My Dead Body. These two comedies are about ghost marriage contracts and both are involved in the same gender marriage. Also, the main couples were destined to meet because they have ties with each other in their past lives.
From the same screenwriter and Director of Gelboys. This series implements the same beautiful cinematography. Told with a completely different lens, but still hold the same sentiment. A MUST watch if you enjoyed Gelboys.

Love Wins All is basically season 2 of Live and Love. Almost the same structure and games. LWA is still airing so I'm not sure if the endgame couples will be satisfactory but it has good couples already. If you want something like this, it's Live and Love, good endgame couple but I am a little disappointed what happened IRL in one of the couples that I shipped.
Both series have impressive writing that balances emotional depth with comedic and lighthearted moments, along with actors who bring genuine chemistry and authenticity to their roles. Each story explores love and personal growth in a way that feels natural and heartfelt, making it easy for viewers to connect with the characters. The directing, cinematography, and music also enhance the storytelling beautifully. Overall, both shows offer compelling narratives, well-developed relationships, and performances that leave a lasting impression on the audience.
