In his Chinese film, "Scent," Park Shi Hoo plays Kang In Joon, a Korean interior designer...who finds love when he meets an innocent Chinese girl...it's directed by Jessy Tseng who directed award-winning art house film Big Blue Lake.

Although Avalanche is a J-Drama, it follows a similar premise of ML with deep backstory (working for Government) forms a team to serve Justice for various cases throughout the show.

Both are homey dramas with adorable kids and fathers/father figure of the family solely tending to children.

Both dramas are similar because:
- ML and FL are general/royalty of enemy kingdom
- Both leads are strong & good at fighting
- Both are historical romance with power struggle

The main differences are:
- Shadow Love focused on more romance between the leads (basically the first 20 eps are about the leads’ relationship.
- Shadow Love had some fantasy elements (super strength, etc.)

In Summer Strike, she runs to find peace... in Lovestruck, she runs to forget.
Romance is Complicated tho ( diff from summer strike)

It’s about identity, heartbreak, and the messy beauty of loving and losing yourself.

Setting: Urban ....mostly Seoul, with flashbacks to a beach romance.

Focus- How people love, break, lie, and move on.

THIS IS A GOOD ONE !!

I'm so surprised that no one recommended this drama, been it led by Li Qin and also similar in the same genre.
If you want to see another badass character like Fu Yixiao and tightly paced story, trust me! Watch Shen Lige in TSOG led by the same actress Li Qin. Palace Intrigue, action, betrayals, and all layers of Fated Hearts are here too in The Song of Glory. Have a nice watch.

Set before the Battle of Changsha, this is a story about unsung heroes during a time of warfare and follows a man who learns to fight for a greater cause in his journey to find his father's killer. In order to occupy Changsha, the Japanese resort to using the 'black butler', a strategic agent that has been lurking in China for 15 years to carry out a long-planned deception. Yun Mu Zhi, a member of the underground party of the Communist Party of China, is killed while investigating the "black butler." Brave FLs take place of another family member to marry a powerful general with dark/murderous reputations. FLs are smart and clever, and are not afraid of the MLs.

Love after marriage. Starts off rocky because MLs did not want to get married in the first place (not that the FLs did, but they were more willing to accept it than the MLs) and so MLs were extra suspicious of the FLs.
