In her previous life, Yun Chu, the daughter of a noble family, married into a poor household. She devoted herself to her husband’s rise, shielding his family from every storm, only to be repaid with betrayal, poisoning, and the massacre of her entire clan. She swore that if she were ever given another life, she would make the traitors suffer a hundredfold.

Breaking free from an endless cycle of fate at the cost of everything, she is reborn. This time, she wields gentleness as her blade and cold resolve as her shield, advancing step by step as she secretly stirs the currents of court politics. She seeks vengeance against those who wronged her and, amid the chaos of a troubled era, to live for herself. Destiny and intrigue, deep love and revenge intertwine. A fated encounter gives rise to her dominion.

She turns the world upside down; he defies heaven to rewrite fate. As the winds of the realm rise, a single command from Yun Chu is enough to decide the balance of the world.

Male lead being manipulators in both. Comparing both Hundred Million Stars From The Sky is much more disturbing rather than just traumatizing. The smile has left your eyes is the official korean remake of the Japanese one which is kinda traumatizing but not that disturbing as the original.

Both series thrive outside the bounds of a typical GL. It almost feels like story comes first and the GL aspect comes second which makes it even more satisfying to experience. Both are not just great for a GL, but a series in general.
