If you like military heroes being protective and rescuing, you may want to give Road Home a try. An incredible plus is that the heroine in Road Home is quite competent in her own right.

Road Home does not have all the beautiful costumes and set pieces of Arsenal Military Academy, its a modern drama, but it also has some beautifully shot scenes and a story that takes place over a long period of time.

Very similar to engine, but engine is about race cars. Both dramas have the OGs of japanese dramas. Both are family oriented and focused on child adult relationships. Both have the star athlete fall from grace at the start. Both have romance involved, but no kissing scenes.

Both contain time traveling chefs who end up involved in political strife and keep themselves alive by offering their skills.

The male lead in "Forever and Ever" also doesn't understand or care about love, and the female leads in both "A Romance of the Little Forest" and "Forever and Ever" fall in love at first sight.

However, the two characters in this drama I recommend are more mature and comfortable. They try to understand each other, and there are no misunderstandings between them because they talk about it directly.

If you're curious, I'll tell you this is a sequel to "One and Only." It can be watched separately, but there will be small memories of "One and Only" because both aremade to reincarnated in the modern world and meet again.

Death's Game (parts 1&2) is another fantasy action/thriller drama with a superb and huge cast lineup. Both shows also have Seo In Guk.

It has a very similar theme and late 1970's overlay. It's almost the Korean version of jdrama The Naked Director

They both tell the story of people who are having a hard time and dont know what to do with their life but they met other, became friends and family.

Both dramas are heartwarming and heartbreaking, both show the importance of having family and friends support during such hard times.

• Both feature a brave female lead who enters a military setting where women aren’t expected to be.

• Disguised identity / mistaken identity plays a key role in keeping the heroine’s position.

• The military training scenes bring action, discipline, and teamwork vibes.

• Romance develops with a strong male lead who admires the heroine’s courage and skills.

• Themes of loyalty, patriotism, and proving oneself run through both stories.

A good mix of action, heartfelt moments, and light humor.

• Both dramas have a strong and gutsy female lead who isn’t afraid to break rules.

• The heroines step into worlds dominated by men (military academy vs. imperial college) and prove themselves.

• There’s a hint of disguised identity / going against societal expectations which makes things fun to watch.

• Romance with a high-status male lead who starts off either proud or aloof but eventually softens up.
