Reseñas
It's the 18th century, Suzy plays an orphan brough up in a gisaeng house, Suzy grows up listing to jae hyo sing pansori an old joseon era kind of songs which can be performed only by men, so she starts cross dressing and takes the audition ( 18th century auditions were lit )
With a lot of romance and one of the most beautiful cinematography this movie was a delight.
It shows how women were discriminated against in olden times.
The beautiful thing is pansori are songs that need to be sang in the nature so you're always witnessing some beautiful scenery.
The art of pansori used to give Suzy a reason to live for in her hard days as a kid, so she wants to sing it so she can help heal other people as well.
The movie focuses more on the beauty of art rather than gender inequality and what not.
Which made me enjoy it a lot more.
Highly recommended for historical movie lovers
This shampoo sealed it with 8/10
PS: suzys best performance for me.
