- Lots of comedy in both, but also has a slice of life element mixed into it.
- Showcases real life themes like single parenting, not knowing what to do with your life, break-ups, illnesses, cheating, etc.
- Both male leads are airheads, which causes them to be in unfortunate situations.
- The female leads are well known to their surrounding, while it's a different environment for other characters.
- Both dramas take place in a different setting than most other dramas.

The Package, however, is shorter and has better romance between the leads. Modern Farmer has a bromance theme that isn't in The Package.

Both are about a young man go to the mountain or farm area to escape. Both has music genre. People warmed his heart. He was touch and shaped into a different man, a responsible, and sweet loving man

Both are comedy dramas that don't take themselves too seriously (and neither should the viewers!), but not without some genuinely touching moments.

Both have a really similar premise: both are about dudes who used to be popular in the music field and both move from the city to the countryside where they adjust to the different lifestyle and eventually fall in love.

I'm not suggesting these two because they're similar. Not at all. The plot is completely different. But it gives you the same vibe. What I find it similar is that the main actress is a single mom with one kid. They are both funny and worth watching.

A comedy drama about a rock band that takes up farming as an escape route.

Lee Min Ki is a genius rocker, as well as leader, vocalist, and guitarist of a rock band called Ex-So (Excellent Souls), that he founded together with drummer Han Ki Joon. The cynical Kang Hyeok is the keyboardist of the band, but also a medical school student who is from a family of doctors for many generations. The two will be involved in a love triangle with the lead female. Meanwhile, Yoo Han Cheol is the bass guitarist.

It's not because of the stories but impressions that give you these dramas are very much alike. Just normal, simple stories. No melodrama, no ridiculously vicious characters, no disasters that come to main character one after another. Watching these dramas will make you smile and laugh a little, sometimes little sad. Light and bright plots about real life problems.

Male friends living and working together to succeed in life. Both dramas have normal cozy life which you can relate to. Riders is dealing with many typical Korean and probably many other countries' issues like how to find a good job and partner when there is pressure from parents and money trouble. Dramas about friendship and things in life which are truly important and meaningful. These dramas are not that serious as I made them sound like, there are many funny scenes as well.

Both dramas revolve around life in the countryside.
Both dramas have lots of funny , awkward, and humorous situations.
I really love the friendship and the story.
Both blend comedy and heartfelt moments.

Chief Kim and Modern Farmer, both have a big ensemble cast that you can't help but love each and every character! Their main theme is comedy and there's a lot of it (but they don't have the same kind of humor imo)

Leaving the city to live in the countryside, finding oneself, food, hilarious moments, friendship and a dash of a love story.

Actually these two dramas were compared in another place. Both have city people coming to farm as an idea to become rich fast after they inherited the farm from relatives. Characters are somewhat similar, at first annoying bratts but then very warm hearted. Modern Farmer is very humorous while Vineyard Man is a bit more emotional. Good family and community related stories. Vineyard Man has a really good and sweet ending.
