Umezawa Rika, a housewife working part-time at a bank, collects customer deposits. Though praised for her work ethic, she feels a growing emptiness as her relationship with her husband deteriorates. She begins an affair with a university student, Kota, and embezzles money to support their encounters and her shopping addiction. As she spends more time with Kota, her thefts escalate.
