Yusuke, a former middle school teacher, quit his job after being unable to stop student bullying. He later learns the bullied student committed suicide. Seeking escape, Yusuke works at Hotel Kopan, owned by Sakuragi, who longs for the hotel's former glory. When a surge of guests arrives, Sakuragi plans a party. Among the guests is the mother of the student who took their life, causing Yusuke to relive his distress. During the party, the guests share their personal struggles.
