First show I knew Jeremy Tsui/Xu, and the First Chinese show I watched
In 2025, I unintentionally subscribed a streaming service in Thailand. I randomly picked a show, and I hit this one. Frankly, I felt attracted to Jeremy Xu. You know what? As it is the first show I know, I feel like, wth, why don't they make this 5 seasons, about 8-10 eps per a season. I learned about Chinese TV shows, like, they did not separate, even many times, the story could be completed case by case.The supporting female character is more favorable for me than the main female protagonist. I like strong and independent women, not the liar or fragile one.
I wish there are more and more Chinese shows with independent women. And I have never understood those female authors who write negative role for female leading characters, even the authors are also women.

A drama that released after being produced 10 years ago …
This drama was apparently shot 10 years ago , back in 2015 .It has Korean actress Park Min Young and a very skinny youngish Jeremy Tsui ….
Also has Hans Zhang as the ML, other actors include Janice Wu , Ryan Xhang and Sophie Zhang , all of whom are ML and FL in more newer dramas… The color and style are very different from current drama productions.
However once you get past that it is not too bad, this is a drama about hidden identities: both ML and likely FL.
The ML [ Hans] replaces a nobleman after he was killed and supposedly from humble beginnings but there is definitely a story to his identity…. FL [Park MY] also is not all she made herself up to be and seemed to be en route somewhere.
I am not sure if I will complete it, I watched because I like Jeremy Tsui and Park Min Young … however, the scrip is also very 2015 …. Not exactly like how a current historical idol drama is scripted. Anyway, I will come back after another few episodes before I decide if to complete this… the actors are competent and if you lack drama to watch may consider.

Is there Season 2?
The costumes and make-up are a bit out dated, but i enjoy the drama, i've never watched Xu ZhengXi's dramas as funny as here in this film, and ZhangHan with his white teeth smile, i like him too in this drama, just too bad the story hasn't finished yet, i wonder if there is any season 2 for this drama or not? CURRENTLY WATCHING WITH NO SUBTITLES
just started ep without subs.it does feel like a 2015 drama to me, especially the background music. typical 2013-2016 chinese dramas is their continous background musics. it's too much for me.
the costumes and hair styles dont look old which is a good thing. however i wish they used their own voices, except for park min young off course.
i love that zhang han had different role, at least in some first episodes.
park min young is stunning. she looks very natural with the costumes and hair dos. kudos to the make up artists.
