But the headline is just a reflection of why I love this drama so much. To start off.. It makes Meteor Garden seem like even more of a joke in terms of chinese dramas.. Like honestly. I disliked Meteor Garden so much but this outshines it like crazy.
As a gamer myself, the idea of a drama with gaming as the key point to their love is WONDERFUL. And I know it's probably already been done before.. but oh my LORD they executed this so well. I absolutely LOVE this drama. I love it to absolute BITS. But as the judgmental person I am, I can sadly say that I will not be giving it a 10/10 because of it's lack of good music and emotion.
It has the "in-game" music which is nice and all.. and maybe some music in scenes that would be quiet. But not any super hard hitting tracks that make you feel the emotion of the scene through the screen aswell as a clear lack of super emotional moments. It also kind of lacks character backstories with things that make them unique which kind of bothers me.
There are many other dramas that I would score higher than this just because it had emotion and character individuality that maybe weren't better. Emotion is a big part in dramas for me to be honest, and this one lacked it. There weren't really any cry worthy moments and it felt a bit dry. (not as dry as Meteor Garden though)
All jokes aside, I rate it a sold 7/10 and definitely think it's much better than it's movie adaptation.

Well, the drama is pretty cool. I decided to watch it after watching the movie, because I liked the plot. However, the bff of the heroine is annoying at times, she is so dumb sometimes, it drives me crazy, but oh well. Of course, I am amazed by the acting in Asian films/TV series, everything looks fake, you don't want to believe them, I heard that they have such a mentality and it's normal "they are like that in real life", but when you watch dramas, it seems that you are watching for fun, purely because of the beautiful picture and cute story, but there is nothing bad in this) in general, I am happy with the drama, cute, nice Was this review helpful to you?
It's not angsty and I LOVE that. I was not a fan of the "game" aspect of the show. I understood why it was there and it is an important part of the story, it just wasn't a part that I enjoyed much. I often found myself fast forwarding the game sequences. The romance in the drama is sweet and the main couple is great together.
If you're in the mood for a sweet romance...this is just the ticket.

More often than not, I really like more sweet, light romances type of dramas. Some of them are among my favorites. But this time I did not find it so great. I felt like after the main two characters got together, there wasn't really anything to make me want to keep watching besides the accomplishment of finishing it. And I'll explain why I think that happened.
Story: the plot, or actually the synopsis, is very nice! I thought it was unusual to see a gamers as more than just the nerd side characters, and giving them normal personalities and actually making the whole drama about a game in a very natural way. Now, the whole exciting part was about them getting together in real life. What doesn't take too long to happen. AND I don't think that's a problem, I like when there's not too much unnecessary drama about getting together when two characters clearly like each other. But there wasn't any other goal good enough to make me keep watching.
Cast/Acting/Characters: So I don't have any problem with the cast. Both main leads are very beautiful, what I think fits the characters description. (besides the fact that there's supposed to be something awesome and maybe sexy? about WeiWei's body and I didn't find anything besides ULTRA THINNESS in Zheng Shuang's body -- but that was very easy to ignore and I wouldn't call it a problem). But then I thought the characters are too... bidimensional? Like, they are too much of only one thing. Too correct, too pretty, too perfect. There was only barely 2 moments when WeiWei actually felt legit sad. And Xiao Nai is, again, just too handsome, too smart, too confident. And basically never had mood swings in the entire drama. He only showed when he was happy or concerned. And that's it. There wasn't more to them. And even if the drama wouldn't explore their past or give them situations to show their other faces, if they were a more fun couple then maybe I'd still be happy just watching them together without facing any obstacle for 20 eps. Xiao Nai never does anything wrong, he always says the right thing and does what you expect him to do. The most "fun" thing about watching them together is the fact that Weiwei is shy and she is often relucitant about Xiao Nai straight forwardness. But it isn't fun and honestly I couldn't relate at all. I mostly thought she was being unnecessarly shy bc there wasn't really anything that embarassing? But well, for this part maybe that was just me. I was having more fun with the side characters relationship actually but it's not given enough attention and it wasn't given anything more than "okay" resolves.
Music: It was okay I guess. Yep.
Rewatch Value: With a few exceptions, I don't usually rewatch dramas, but this one is definitely a nope for me.
Overall: I don't regret watching it. It was good, they picked a good theme and very pretty actors. I'll compliment it for not having unnecessary and tiring drama, and the fact that the antagonists were never even close to affect the trust the main couple had for each other, which is nice to see. It's a sweet romance but I wouldn't say it is exciting type of sweet like a cake? More like water with sugar or maybe cotton candy. Not too much flavor besides the sugar, dissolves quickly but you eat it until it's over without much problem.

*** Spoiler Alert (PERSONAL FEEDBACK)Title : Love O2O – 2016 (Complete 30 Episode)

This is a romantic drama mixed with online games.
Xiao Nai / Yi Xiao Nai He (played by Yang Yang) A 4th-year computer science student and member of the basketball team. He is also the CEO of Zhi Yi technology company. He appears to be gentle and kind but hides his intellect, creativity, and academic personality.
Known by the web name "Yi Xiao Nai He", he is a famous figure and top player in the game A Chinese Ghost Story. In real life, Xiao Nai is also the most popular guy on campus.
Bei Wei Wei / Lu Wei Wei Wei (played by Zheng Shuang) A 2nd-year computer science student, who is considered the "belle" of the computer science major. She placed second in a beauty voting that took place online within the student community. She is bright, smart, helpful, and aspires to be a game designer.
Known by the alias "Lu Wei Wei Wei" in A Chinese Ghost Story, she is the only female player in the Top 10 PK ranking. She catches Xiao Nai's attention unintentionally as she is playing the game in an internet cafe.
This drama is about a ML falling in love with the FL at first sight while playing an online game (both played the same game). ML pursues her in the game and eventually in real life. This drama is light. It’s a typical school drama where there is always a mean girls and popular handsome ML. It’s a light drama but heavy on romance.
I watched this because at that time it was very popular, and I need to break from kdrama land. At first, I was stunned by how the story goes because they are also part of the online games which they don’t have in kdrama so it was very funny and new for me.
Overall, the drama was okay for me but not going to rewatch it. This is my first Chinese drama that I watch from the time of the release. So it has been 7 years. 😁😁😁 It’s a heavy romance (bit cringy for me) with happy ending..

The plot of this drama is quite common
This drama presents a romantic story of a couple from a real world perspective and a virtual world perspective. The plot is quite common. There is a love triangle plot, secret admirers, rejection, accidental introductions, and others. At first, the audience will be presented with how the male lead and female lead get to know each other. Many fans expressed that the meaning of "O2O" from the title of this drama means "Online to Offline". So how is their story? You can see it by yourself.
In my opinion, some of the actors are quite capable of expressing emotions in each of their dialogues. In terms of background music, its use is quite appropriate for the scene. However, for me the music presented did not leave an impression on my mind. Not only that, in terms of visuals and animations depicted in scenes in the virtual world, it looks like it can be improved again.
Finally, do I think this drama is worth to rewatch? For me yes, but not in the main priority.

Why is the main couple so stiff
This review is a few years old that I copy and pasted from my viki LOLI watched this drama through and I say that it is a decent drama but I don't think it deserves higher than a 8 maybe . The story line wasn't trash but the characters were so stiff. By I mean stiff, I mean that Wei Wei and Xiao Nai never seemed to have conflict or imperfections. Wei Wei was thin, beautiful, smart, and was made to be very envied. Her character was always obedient to Xiao and whatever he decided. There was no real obstacles between them because Xiao Nai somehow always knew the truth about whatever was going on (since he was so perfect) (ex. A girl took a video of coa guang's confession about Wei Wei and showed it to Xiao Nai. Xiao Nai didn't seem to misunderstand or question Wei Wei and didn't mind the video) Most of the story is waiting for Wei Wei to stop being so awkward around Xiao Nai. I actually found the side romance more enticing because the those characters they had depth (Cap Guang x Zhao Er Xi).. I still somehow watched all the way through so, 6/10 for me.

Story - I honestly thought the story was fun and exciting. The computer effects for the gaming parts were overall ok, but the movie version was better. By no means am I saying that this is unique in any way so if you’re looking for something different, this isn’t not the drama for you. I personally just like Tom reminisce on the cliches. Fortunately, there are many parts in this drama where I laughed my butt off. Especially with the friends of Xiao Yang. Unfortunately, there are many unlikable characters in this drama and I absolutely can’t stand them talking shit about the main character so I tend to skip many of those parts.
Acting/Cast - As much as I would love to say the cast was absolutely amazing, I can’t bring myself to do so. It felt like the chemistry between the two main leads were super awkward while all the supporting roles acted more natural. It didn’t feel like the chemistry built up enough. There were many parts with cute romance scene though, but you will occasionally get that awkward tension.
Music - Music was average to me. Good melody, nice beat.
Rewatch Value - Quite frankly, I barely ever rewatch dramas even if they were super good. Just a personal preference.
Overall - Nice story, fluffy romance, main leads are hot, supporting roles are funny as hell. Not much could go wrong.
Until we meet again!
