Good-bye, Mr. Black (2016)

Storia senza pretese a cui manca la capacità di coinvolgere e catturare l'attenzione

Drama incentrato sul tema del migliore amico - praticamente considerato uno di famiglia - che sotto sotto cova un'invidia che lo porterà a tradire tutte le persone che gli vogliono bene (vale a dire il protagonista, oltre al padre, la sorella e la fidanzata del protagonista stesso). E' quindi una serie dove tradimento della fiducia, vendetta e ambizioni sono sotto i riflettori. Un storytelling che non è l'emblema dell'originalità, ma sul quale si può costruire senz'altro un buon drama. Sarò però sincera, qualcosa è mancato. L'ho visto tutto, fino alla fine, più per coerenza che per vero interesse. Buona la prova recitativa della protagonista, Swan, il cui personaggio però non ci risparmia alcuni cliché (dall'amnesia alla riscoperta di legami pseudofamigliari proprio con personaggi che per coincidenza sono al centro della vicenda). Sotto tono invece il protagonista maschile, Black, che nell'immaginario ha dei tratti ben definiti e interessanti, ma che tra copione e recitazione - direi proprio poco performante - risulta di fatto insipido e poco incisivo. Per assurdo, ho trovato più calzante l'amico traditore, più credibile e convincente. Ma Ri apprezzabile a tratti alterni, la sorella del protagonista quasi mai. Una menzione poco positiva anche per la musica: solitamente se cito questo aspetto è per una colonna sonora particolarmente meritevole, negli altri casi non sono semplicemente degne di nota. In questo caso l'ho trovata pesante, vecchia, più adatta a una telenovela europea degli anni 80 che a una serie del ventunesimo secolo. Non è una visione che sconsiglierei categoricamente, ma probabilmente un drama che potrebbe non catturare l'interesse come sperato.

I was liking it but it kinda lost its wholeness. 1) I still cannot pinpoint when he did fall in love with her; 2) the lead actor looks good on screen but his acting is sort of forced - like the when he smiles, it is like asking somebody to say "cheese";; 3) the director was showing that Mr. BLack's team had it all together and yet there were allot of like unnecessary mistakes they made as a team as they make the revenge; 4) the 5 years in the plot seems unrealistic, and is not cohesive to the whole story (I'm trying not to divulge the story here); 5) the revenge/twist - I've had enough of it... They could have ended this at 16 eps; 6) the evil guy was first very composed in the beginning and then at the end they made him laugh the "evil laugh" , like totally out of character; 7) this guy got out in 2 years of being in prison and they go back to the couple ( it was obvious, it was not even in the same time frame)

This is still watchable, but when it comes to crimes, laws, the story has to be really tight. The twists in the story was pretty good, but I can only take so much "twisting" before I begin to just say, just get on with it... So, yes, I do have gripes about it but I have seen worst dramas.
