Bunny Drop

うさぎドロップ ‧ Movie ‧ 2011
These dramas follow the journey of a young man who take on the responsibility of raising a toddler on their own. They struggle to find work balance and a proper comprehension of a child's heart and mind. Yet through the ups and downs they persist and grow as loving fathers.

Both series are about a single man bringing who suddenly ''decides'' to bring up a young girl. Though the girl in My Girl is the man's own child, the girl in Usagi Drop is the man's niece. Both are also about combining single-parenting and work. Also both are great! :)

Both films tackle the same thing: the struggle of a single man taking care of a child he barely knows. Usagi Drop is a little bit in the dramatic side while Baby and I is a little bit in the funny side, in my opinion. And the little difference is that the child in Usagi Drop is six years old while in Baby and I, the child is still an infant.

They are both about young guys who are trussed into parenthood. In Usagi Drop the main character decides to take in his very young aunt and in Baby & Me the main character finds out he has a son and must take care of him. Even though the stories are not exactly the same, they do have a similar feeling. Both guys are forced to change their lives to accommodate a child which they grow to love.

Though Usagi drop is a film, they are alike. Also both feature Ashida Mana. Both the stories are about a single man deciding to bring up a child (or in Marumo's case twins) that is not their own, but become a real family regardless. Both are great and very enjoyable! :)

Shiomi Eiji is a florist. He is a single man with a young daughter named Shizuku. One day, he invites a blind woman seeking shelter under his shop awning to come in out of the rain. A surprising tale gradually unfolds as the story of their budding love transforms into a complex web of lies and dark motives. Nothing is as it seems at first, and each of the characters is burdened with their own painful secrets.

Both dramas are about an adult that looks after a little girl. Both adults develop parent like feelings for the child and both dramas have as a theme finding family and making your family. Both are wonderful heart warming stories

- Basic plot is similar, single adult male taking care of female child on his own.
- I found both movies heartwarming.
- Child actresses are super adorable <3

Even in modern-day Taipei, women feel the societal pressure to get married and have children before the period to have them.
Thankfully, there is a solution: freeze your ovum and prolong your fertility.
Zeng Mei Bao freezes her ovum and looks for the right man to start a family. In the pursuit of this man, she ends up in a wintry Swedish Province, where ice and snow becomes a metaphor for the unborn child who is waiting to be born
