Main Characters- The main characters seemed to be more of flat characters, which means they do not really change through out the story, instead of a round character, a person who does change through out the story; and what I mean by all this, after a certain point in the story the main characters stopped growing, learning new things about themselves and others.
Some of the actors/actresses suited their roles well and others did not, but they all did a fantastic job.
Supporting Roles- The supporting roles showed more of a change than the main leads. I enjoyed their back story more.
It seemed all of the actors/actress suited their role they were giving.
Overall- I would give this category a 9.0 I did get really emotionally attached to each character.
Story line:
The story line became rather boring and predictable after a while. The romance was almost non-existent, but the overall comedy filled in for that.
Overall- I would give this section a 6.5, the story became predictable. I did enjoy watching the medical aspect of the story
Music:
The music fit perfectly for each scene, it gave the scenes more of an intense feeling.
Overall- I would give this section 8.5, there is nothing much to complain about this section.
Would I re-watch this? Probably not, because it seemed more like a one time watch. Would I recommend this to other people? Yes, because it did keep me binging it for three days.

Refreshing romantic story
I liked the old fashioned love story with a hint of drama. I enjoyed the acting, the fact that the villains are redeemable.I would love watching other dramas like this one nowadays.
Acting: good
Story: premise is touching. YhJ background story was disastrous and I would have loved more confrontations with the dad about his abuse.
Chemistry: the main couple was so cute. They compliment each other with different reactions to horrible childhood. The difference being the ML had a really good adoptive family for his whole life compared to the FL who had her grandmother for a short time. So she had only a really short taste to what familial love was which prompted her to obsessively look into her grandmother's death while the ML was happy to move on to have a happier life. He tried to make her understand that but ends up helping her find out the truth thus supporting and covering for her.
To sum up, I come back to watch this drama anytime I need a touching romance. It is also pretty funny.
Recommended!

The problem that I found with this drama is that it tried to do many things but never fully leaned into any of them so the story does not leave any lasting impression. It is kind of a reborn delinquent story, kind of a romance, kind of a medical drama, kind of a revenge story. But none of the different aspects are completely explored. Hye Jeoung loses her grit and gangster style quickly so the delinquent portion snuffs out, the leads begin with good chemistry when they are young but it does not carry any passion as adults, the story brings us into the hospital and shows their profession but it lacks depth, and the revenge plot line is so drawn out and left as more of an after thought to just have a lackluster payoff at the end. The characters in this do all undergo some kind of mental growth throughout but overall the story lacks any true pull to keep you engrossed. I'd even say the Dr. Jung became my favorite character with his unrequited love by the end of the show.
I will also be the first to admit that teacher/ student relationships are my least favorite because it is difficult to shed the teacher vibes and this show is not an exception to that rule. I actually found it cute when you see him finding himself fall for her at the beginning and the way he seemed to have waited for her in those 13 years but as adults they lacked intensity and I found myself actually hoping she would choose the second male lead. I also think completely skipping over those 13 years with no flashbacks or explanations to the time gap was a miss. I would have loved to see them grow a bit through their struggles during that time to make the current versions of them feel more fleshed out.

Chemistry was awesome
Loved this drama. Would love to see a season 2.Maybe Kim Rae Won and Park Shyn Hi could guest star. Would love to see Yeon Woo Jin and Kim Sejong casted and reunited again as the new main leads. Maybe instead of their first meeting would be on a college campus instead of high school. Maybe YWJ is a medical professor. KS is a medical student. They meet again at a hospital where he is a doctor and she is an intern. They have conflicting opinions about the diagnosis and treatment of a patient, but work through it and in the process fall in love. Just a thought.

One very empathetic main characters - surrounded by a cast of shallow, cardboard bores
This is a show that was ruined by what it thought it ought to do rather than just being what it should have - which was a story of two very different women who compete against each other, come from radically different lives, yet are shaped and scarred by the misfortunes of their family upbringing.Instead this show gave us romantic plots that weren't necessary or interesting. Characters were shallow and never fleshed out beyond Hye-Jeong's character - who was a figure you could easily empathise with, portrayed very well by Park Shin-hye. She was a typical character of rough, hardened exterior barely concealing a broken and lonely soul too afraid of hope and happiness. Where the scenes centred on her and her trauma, the show was good. The problem was when it gave her a love triangle that was shallow and forced. At no point did I enjoy this. I despised Kim Rae-won's character, for how unethically he behaved as a teacher when he couldn't see the problems of his closeness to Hye-Jeong. I didn't like how he pursued her and I wasn't at all interested in his backstory.
The most interesting character besides Hye-Jeong was Jin Seo-Woo, portrayed by Lee Sung-Kyung. Her story arc of rich girl tormented by the burden of expectation and fear of failure was interesting and the show would have benefitted from dedicating more scenes to showing that there was more to her than just this resentful energy - the problem was that in not doing this, in making her jealousy towards Hye-Jeong seem so petty, vindictive and cruel, it made her fundamentally a very unlikeable character who you couldn't sympathise for even during her more distressed, human moments.
The show did not deliver, something i could tell would be the case just halfway into it. That says everything.

Just so so
What is the real driving force for me to watch this, a shorts of Park Shin Hye in ganster mode, it hooked me and I binge watched 10 eps, but now I feel like I'm tortured so I am not continuing.Storyline
Both Main leads have a crazy past, so the story tells about how characters grew with time, how they become mature.
But, ahh hum hum
Coughing
There are some plot holes,🕳
I'll tell how
The male lead became a homeroom teacher, just because he did some mistake in an operation, so he took a break and became a school teacher in a village. Like hell, a teacher, unrealistic. Aren't being a doctor and a school teacher a different profession, he could have gone for a trip, or some specialization, or some research, thats what normally happen.
Then after he resigned as a tea her, whoaa, he did went for study to become doctor.
In the meantime, our courageous female lead did her study, overcame her sadness and became a doctor to take her revenge. Her storyline is the most acceptable.
So, after 13 years, yes you heard right 13 years, they meet again. I would have forget my sister's face if we didn't meet for that long, but in this drama, the ML is already hooked as soon as he remeet FL, there is already feeling blooming between them. Totally unreasonable.
How could anyone have feeling for the person, they had not meet in 13 years, and its not like they have feelings before they got separated, maybe ML have.
Then the story progress, it usual hospital day to day life.
So, before moving forward, I would like to say that our FL is charming, she has guys following her here and there, so no doubt ML fell for her. But what does ML have, why she fell for him.
I didn't thought he would be the ML in the beginning, I thought he was some side character, but I was shocked when she rejected 2nd ML straightforward, he was cute and sensible.
I have no problem with the actor, but the ML character is shit in itself. He's not strong, he's ready to (show his 30 teeths), I mean laugh, when its not even needed, it looks like overacting or being creepy, he doesn't speak his mind but want FL to speak hers. He has stayed with FL grandmother in the past but shows no remorse and didn't even tried to know about her death, not till the FL insisted. Where's human compassion?
Maybe eight years ago, people liked to watch that type of lead characters, I'm not complaining. But please give me reasons to like some character, give him a better personality
If the makers had omitted his character, I would have watched the whole series.
There are so many better options for our FL, like the biker guy, or even the boss she treated in the hospital, even the guy who broke her gifted sports car. Literally anyone
Actors
All the actors did a great job, I'm not reviewing them one by one.
The villains did a great job though, they look like bad people and they plan and do things like bad people, they have clarity.
All in all, great actors, dumb story, and I didn't even finished once so rewatching was never a option.

This drama makes me laugh, cry and learn more about life. The villains here are not so evil (in my point of view). The politics are not too much, the romance is also a good pace for me (not so cheesy and cringey) and there's comedy from time to time. I also like the side characters especially those intern doctors. They are so adorable.
Overall, this is a good drama for me and I might watch again if I miss it. Maybe I'm biased because I already liked the lead characters from their previous dramas.

i hate the side trope
i love the cast (but not all of them) but the story was alright past hoodlum turns magnificent neurosurgeon, naturally smart without even trying attractive and all that.. What i hate is that her "Teacher" fell inlove with her when she was still 18 what the actual fuck??? it really doesn't sit right with me even if they didn't have a relationship when she was 18 but when they met again he hit her up saying He liked him all along WHAT??? pedophile character i hate it so much its not cute i actually liked the second lead better since they're close in age and He didn't "wait" for him to mature ugh! But i like the medical part and the way they operate i just hate the student-teacher trope yuckWas this review helpful to you?
I also liked the life stories of their patients. The only thing that I hated in this drama is that there is a lack of kissing scenes :/
If there’s one thing that Doctors have taught me, it’s that medical dramas are really my thing. Sometimes I wanted to be Hye Jung because she is a strong, interesting heroine...

Anyways, I loved the medical side of the show being in a hospital and I liked the overall execution of the plot. Only thing that was kinda weird - everyone had tumors, which made for a clean ending, but not very realistic to the proportions and ratios of real-life tumors (coming from someone whose worked in a hospital). Though, this aspect didn't take away from the show at all, so I didn't mind, it was just something I noticed.
Please give Doctors and chance and don't let negative bashers deter you from a great drama about romance, medicine, and true love!
