Devastated by the failure, the director destroyed all existing copies before taking his own life, while the lead actress, Ko Jeong A vanished from the industry. Over time, Hideout became a legend, known only through word of mouth among a small circle in the film industry, until an original print was unexpectedly discovered in a warehouse in France. Director Jun, struggling with his own stalled career, takes a part-time job creating supplemental material for the Hideout DVD release. Determined to uncover the truth, he decides to make a documentary about everyone involved in the film, hoping to reveal its mysterious past and find Ko Jeong A.
