I came across this on Netflix and had no expectations. I was curious and the episodes were short so I gave it a try. The first episode made me laugh a lot and loudly. It wasn't slapstick comedy or intentional funny but more situational. The main character and his family were like regular people.

The dad and his restaurant and side jobs were enough for his own show. The younger brother was so clueless but still funny. I managed to watch all episodes in one sitting taking a little break from laughing.

There is some poop humor, but it's not the subject of all episodes. I was pleasantly pleased with this show.

The weird situational humor expressed in this show reminds me an awful lot of the late night television show in the states. At some points this has a kind of Seinfeld feel, where the characters have managed to find themselves in absolutely ridiculous situations (or Arrested Development for those who haven't seen it). These situations are often a result of their varied and strange personalities coming into clash with the real world, and it's hilarious to see.

Story: This show is largely episodic, meaning each episode will have two unique stories within that can act independently from the others. This isn't to say that it doesn't have a larger story--it does-- but rather that you won't feel like you need to catch up on what happened should you take a break from watching it. The actual plot lines are fun and simple, something that works well with the overall humor of the show. There were many times when I was choking on my spit, and I have no doubt you will too.

Acting: Amazing work by the actors. Phenomenal, really. They nailed the personalities and really are the main reason this show dazzles like it does.

Music: Simple and good. Pretty forgettable, but that's not why you watch a show like this.

Re-watch Value: Great! The episodes are so short that if you need a quick pick-me-up or are looking for something really late at night, they're always a good choice. The episodes remain hilarious even after a few watches, so no problem there. I highly recommend this show.

Some parts are just fine and not every episode is funny - I appreciate the honesty that a weboonist does not have great ideas all the time

the comedy you never knew you needed...

I was hesitant on trying this because I thought it'd have the slapstick comedy I see in kdramas and I wouldn't enjoy it. But this was different!

Kwangsoo is the gem of the show, and his family members make it even better. The ridiculous comedy is gonna have you giggling and shaking your head in a good way. The way Kwangsoo smiles and acts is so funny. It's family-like but also has many ridiculous concepts that involve poop or nakedness which makes it weird but it's still enjoyable. It's the type of comical stories that I remember for days. I even showed some of the best episodes to my family, and we really enjoyed it together. Favorite episode is definitely the mother's birthday (episode 2).

I'd definitely recommend it to people who need a good laugh.

Definitely upset that the actors changed for Season 2.

They dont want us to drool over the leads, cry over the melodrama, or punch across a social message, the creators have one and only one aim, to make us forget ourselves, the worries surrounding our lives and make us laugh out loud unabashedly.

There is no handshake between the episodes, which is unconventional when it comes to kdrama, and this works entirely because from the frame one, it is made clear to the viewers, that humour is going to be the central content and any other emotional quotients are just about irrelevant and secondary at best.

Its so tough to stand out as a humour serving mini series in kdrama land, because just about every kdrama has a separate comedy track to provide the laughs along with the primary story line, so its easy for a writer to be overwhelmingly inspired and churn out yet another run in the mill cutesy romantic comedy drama.

The actors are seasoned and provide exceptional performances in all the seemingly unrealistic setups designed in the series, the reason i use the word seemingly is because the themes structured around each episode are so close to the present reality although the presentation is unrealistic.

But, all those incredible performances aside,  i just cant help but be overawed by the creativity and freshness that was on display. I never expected this series to be this good, just a random suggestion from netflix on a boring weekend, and it has dragged me here to conceive a  review.

Short Hilarious Stories Packed Together

A show with quite short story each episode. Each of them are adapted from a sit-com quite alike webtoon. I haven't read the original webtoon. The idea of the story is overall good. It has a sitcom-ish comedy punchline for each episode. Each episode doesn't necessarily related one another. The setup is comical and far from realistic. This show is also supported by excellent actors who potray the Jo's family perfectly.

Unfortunately, I still feel the quality of the comedy still varies a lot throughout the episodes. Since this is an one-off story for each episodes, I feel they have picked 20 numbers of stories from the webtoon collections. Yet some of the picks are insanely funny and some others are less funny. I'm also a bit disappointed that they didn't explore the character of Ae-Bong more.

Overall, this is still a recommended guilty pleasure show. If you're looking for a little laugh, then you should see this show, because you can finish this quick. I'm also looking forward for the second season, since I know that the webtoon is still ongoing.

I think I've searched every single drama subbing site so I can watch the remaining EP. Nonetheless, just make a netflix account.
This web drama is refreshing and totally witty in all aspects. It had me cover my mouth so I won't wake up my whole neighborhood while watching this.
It was totally hilarious.

This was one of the most simple dramas I have ever watched, and that is a compliment. There was no drama at all, and that adds to the rewatch value. I love this drama so much. You would not have expected this be just like the webtoon, but guess what, it gives off the same vibe as the webtoon. There is not much to say except that this is must watch for everyone. It is so funny, and the misunderstandings in this drama make it all the funnier.

Story: (10) There wasn't really a story. Every episode had its own story, each episode wasn't linked to the previous one, and each episode had its own little funny story to go along with it.

Acting/Cast: (10) The casting was amazing. The cast was so funny together, and it was unbelievable how hard I laughed throughout this entire series. I love how the cast were so cute and funny together, everything seemed to come together really well. The acting was also really good, they depicted their role amazingly well.

Music: (9.5) There wasn't much music, or at least not that I remembered, but if the music was bad, it would have left a bad impression on me but since I can't remember anything bad about the music, I'm assuming it's good.

Rewatch Value: (10) STRAIGHT 10. I normally do not like to rewatch dramas, since I hate having to watch the drama (like the bad parts, maybe the second female/male lead does something bad) over again. It makes me anxious, but since there's no drama in this drama, just plain comedy, this is gold, and I love to rewatch this over and over again.

Overall: (10) If kisskh allowed me to give a percentage higher than 10, I would have chosen that option instead. This is too good of a drama to be ranked 10.

I highly recommend this, and it's a must watch. It's a nice and quick drama, I finished this in 2 days, so I hope everyone can support this drama. It's the type of drama that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, and kind of nostalgic.

Perfect American-style influenced comedy show

This is perfectly adapted from the Webtoon, perfectly casted throughout the cast. Lee Kwang Soo was absolutley hilarious in his role. I loved him in Entourage and he is great in Sound Of Your Heart as the goofy and immature Jo Suk. The lovable parent duo was a terrific high point of the series - Kim Byung Ok and Kim Mi Kyung couldn't have been more suited to these roles. Byung Ok in the opening episode was particularly terrifc. Completely oblivious to the terror he was causing around the town. I loved the adventures that Kim Dea Myung's character, Jo Joon, took us on as well. The trip to Shanghai was laugh out loud funny as were the side characters that we met along the way. Jung So Min wasn't in all of the episdoes but her parts provided some great comedy. Her relationship with Jo Suk was the perfect amount of embarrasing and heart-warming. The Airport Scene where Ae-Bong misunderstood Jo Su asking for 3 dollars to pay for the bus as asking her out was gold. The set up in the scene, the hints and her ever-building fustration througjout the episdoe. It was just a wonderfully crafted episode. One of my favourite episodes though was Jo Joon's face call episode. Him fustrating his Mum, having an emotional sing along with his Dad and flashing Jo Suk's students, who had to deal with Jo Suk being unaware that his laptop is connected to the screen - this had my rolling on the floor in laughter - I can't praise it more. Just watch Sound Of Your Heart. 10 Episodes under 30 minutes long each. It's so easy to watch and you'll have a heck of a ride watching it. My cheeks hurt after finishing this show.

it's so funny that I laugh just thinking about it

This drama is hands down the funniest thing I’ve watched in ages—and I’m talking about content from four major languages! It’s crude, silly fun with top-tier acting. Every actor nails their role, but Lee Kwang Soo’s physical comedy? Pure gold! No one can pull it off like him. And let’s not forget Kim Mi Kyung—she’s my all-time favorite TV mom, and she’s absolutely hilarious here.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the razor-sharp writing. The success of comedy like this needs strong, clever writing at its core, and this show delivers. Even the extras with just one line absolutely crush it with their delivery and expressions. You can tell everyone involved brought their A-game.

All in all, it’s ridiculously funny, totally over-the-top, yet somehow still so endearing and impossible not to love!

Daily Life Into Comics

The story is about a troubled family that always doing something unusual which is funny to see. One of them is a mangaka that draw a comic based on what's happened to his family. Lot of comedy scenes that you're going to see in this K-drama especially Lee Kwang Soo which is so stupid when doing something.

What I appreciate is how they use mask frame by frame to make a transition since I'm a video editor too. It's really hard to do since it's take time. For the 2016 K-Drama, this is very good!

I don't know why the review score is only 8.3

This comedy-drama is one of the best, offering incredible rewatch value. The actors deliver outstanding performances, making it absolutely hilarious. While the music isn’t extraordinary, it’s decent and fits well. With its perfect blend of humor and drama, this show is a must-watch for any fan of the genre!
