When a Snail Falls in Love

如果蜗牛有爱情 ‧ Drama ‧ 2016
Both dramas are the same type, there is suspense in every episode. The male officer has a female assistant to help.

Main cases is serial killer and watching each episode truly keeps you on edge.

I would like to first address that Memory Lost is a series and when I refer to its title, I am referring to the entire series and not just season one.

Both of these stories were written by the same author, Ding Mo, and turned into dramas.
They are similar in that they are both a crime investigation series, and follow a string of crimes that connect and eventually lead to the main culprit. The female leads in both stories have a specialty in psychology, and at first, the male leads in both dramas develop some sort of disagreement with the female leads' psychological analyses, until later when they gradually learn to appreciate it.

The one difference would be that Memory Lost is definitely a lot easier to follow and understand compared to When a Snail Falls in Love because it spans over multiple seasons, allowing the story to unravel leisurely. The story and relationships in When a Snail Falls in Love were complied into one season, leaving everything to be more fast-paced and you would have to really pay attention to fully understand the entirety of the story.

Thai version.

Vita is a rookie genius in psychological research. Her brain works as if there were a rapid generator in it. In fact, it is a gifted talent as a snail. Upon joining the police force, she is facing the fate of getting removed due to her weak physique. Since Officer Prach is the only one who can help her, Vita tries everything to make Prach take her in as his mentee. As the captain of the Police Investigators Team (PTI), Prach is one of the few brilliant, experienced, and skilled investigators.

At first, Prach does not take a liking to Vita. Besides, both are not on the same page regarding how to deal with cases. However, having joined hands and solved a series of cases

Both center around a story that consists of the leads tracking down dangerous criminals all the while falling in love with each other. Sizzling chemistry and heaps of plot twists.

The dynamics between a senior police officer and his young recruit are very similar, with his reluctance to have her in his unit, and the slow burn romance that follows, without it being the main focus of the show. Also, there is a lot of action in both dramas and the good guys are trying to catch the bad ones.

Similar police drama, in this drama the female lead is a newly recruited profiler who has a crush on the male lead.

Both is based on Investigation.. Both has the handsome hunk Wang Kai.. But When a snail falls in love has more action than Hunting... Both has cute female lead but the FL in hunting is kinda badass compared to the FL in When a snail falls in love who is more like a " brainiac"....

In both dramas Wang Kai plays the tough older boss/mentor/love interest of a younger woman, although the setting is a bit different.

Action packed and intense story lines with bits of humor sprinkled in to cut the tension. Very strong main pairing with gorgeous actors and excellent second pairing as well. Best in class cinematography and brilliant soundtracks.

When a Snail Falls in Love is a police procedural and action tv series first, with romance as a secondary storyline.

Descendants of the Sun is a romance story first, with lots of action sequences and medical drama added on.

He and she and their team. World of crimes, suspense, detectives, police. A developing bound between male and female lead (in "Dr Frost" - only a feeling of romance).

Both shows are based on novels from Ding Mo. they are actually sort of a loose series with When A Snail Loves being the first book in the collection
Both have a criminal psychologist/policeman pairing though When a snail loves deals with multiple types of cases including corporate/white collar crime and human trafficking

> Both Chinese crime dramas with an episodic case-by-case format that ends up all being connected.
> Quite short dramas in terms of Chinese dramas.
> Well-paced and plot moves forward quickly.
> Female lead is a talented newbie who is assigned to male lead.
> Cute moments between male/female lead but not too romance focused.
> More action in When a Snail Falls in Love compared to Dr. Qin.
