This was the cutest show ever and is now one of my favorite shows.
It takes a different approach which is refreshing and they do it very well. The show did start to slow down around the 8th episode but nothing to bad.
It was definitely interesting to see how such a cute and funny show could also be very intense. Overall you will be smiling but get ready some serious moments as well.
The actors have great chemistry and did a great job showing all the different emotions experienced throughout the series.
I very highly recommend this show to everyone!

Comedy, romance, and mystery combined. Wow

This series is so fun and amazing. I was hooked from the first episode. The comedy was amazing, the relationships felt real and made sense. The actors were so good. The music was nothing spectacular but it didn’t detract and the superpower girl song was pretty good. Male and female lead had amazing chemistry. The whole thing was funny. Love and family relationships showed development. The plot was good. The mystery was interesting. The whole show was satisfying to watch. Actually bought the series on DVD just so I could watch it again after they took it off Netflix. Would definitely recommend.

I Just... Don't Know.

So... I don't know what to say about Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Was it a good drama? Sure I enjoyed. Was it my favorite? Not by a long shot. So much happened in this drama that I found myself looking to see how much longer I had for each episode. It felt like they were trying to jam 3 dramas into 1 and it was a chore to watch them. The acting was great and I enjoyed the characters, but just didn't like how the exacuted the drama as a whole. Could have been better and could have been worse. Do I plan on rewatching it??? Yeah, but only if I'm really, really desperate for something to watch.

My second ever kdrama!
SWDBS is definitely up there as one of my fave kdramas. Many have said that the story tried to do too much but honestly I didn't see it like that. I saw a brilliant drama that just managed to intertwine the genre of romance, comedy and crime well. I feel that people put too many categories down as what a kind of kdrama it is. People believe that an office romance or having powers and the fact there is a serial killer in the drama is doing 'too much' to the story but I think it was done well enough so that it didn't affect the chemistry of the main leads.

Both PHS and PBY were perfect in this drama and their chemistry is defo one of the best I have seen. And my poor little Jisoo once again just falling short of being the guy for the female lead. But honestly this one was made for the Park couple.

The only flaw I saw in this drama really was the whole relationship with Guk Doo's ex and DBS' brother. Just thought it was unnecessary and also a plot hole as what even happened there??

Other than that, it was one of my rated 10 drama.

If you love comedy and happy endings, please watch this show!

I loved this show. Though I had to watch it more than once to better understand the story, I loved the comedic tone. It completely balanced with the scenes that were emotional and quite serious. This was especially necessary because the serial killer in the show was written in such a sadistic way.
I especially loved the romantic chemistry between Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Shik. Their chemistry made the story seem more real and fluid; it also helped to differentiate the reasons why Park Bo Young's character made the romantic choices she did throughout the series. It took me two viewings of the show to understand the love triangle, so if you have trouble I would suggest re-watching the show to better understand.
FYI: I loved the grandmother the best. Her role in the show was a small one but she was very memorable.

Lots of staring

10/10 humor, but everything else lacking.
(Maybe 10 is too high, but it's the only redeeming part of the show.)

Thriller parts lacked mystery after first few eps, and romance lacked substance.

Romance also dragged rest of the show, bc every scene was just staring.
I could have fast-forwarded through all the staring and still gotten the whole plot.
There was no romamce or drama in this show, just staring.

It's been a while since I watched it, so I forgot if OST is integrated into the show well, but about half the songs are nice and very memorable.

A very interesting approach to a drama and I think it was pulled off very well indeed! The story really did start to get very good after the first few episodes and it left me hooked with the show! An all-star cast followed with a great production and editing crew made 'Strong Girl' a 'Strong Success'!
I feel like this show does deserve a second season, although I'm not really sure it will ever be made. It's a shame, as I think I've found a great plot for it. Anyways, talking about plot, this show managed to pull off the thriller plot, romance plot and comedy plot amazingly well! This show is a MUST TRY!

This is one of those shows that I have watched multiple times. She is just precious. Tiny in stature, but don't mess with her! The chemistry between the two mains was wonderful, and I loved that he seemed to be attracted to her before she was attracted to him. He treats her with such care and respect, I just LOVED their relationship. They were so sweet together, and it was wonderful watching him try to deal with his feelings for her.

Her crying, however. They need to work with her to teach her how to correctly emote when she is crying. I could not take her seriously, and I wanted to laugh during one of the more dramatic scenes of the show. It was not a character flaw, I've seen her in other shows and that's the way she cries.

That said, I did NOT like the side story with the "gangsters" that were in the hospital, and her mom was a nightmare! I felt that the gangster stuff put it over the top into slapstick territory and the ending did, as well.

Had Potential

This drama was definitely addictive and fun to watch. The creepy serial kidnapper/murderer storyline was particularly interesting . The villain did a great job with his role. Park Bo-Young was so loveable and adorable. The juxtaposition of her tiny frame with her immense strength was amusing and entertaining, and very well done.
The romance was also very sweet and I actually cried for Guk-doo. The dynamic between the leading triad was done very well. Park Hyung-sik also did a phenomenal job and I couldn't help but fall for his exaggerated expressions and antics.

What let this drama down were the comedic sub-plots. I resorted to skipping many of the scenes with Baek Tak Party and its members, which in my opinion got way too much screen time in the last few episodes. They served their purpose well in terms of providing people for Bong Soon to beat up, but otherwise added nothing to the story. Similarly with the doppelganger Mr Oh at Ainsoft - I skipped many of his scenes too because they were distasteful and unnecessary. Because of these side characters, the storyline felt like a restaurant menu with too many options. The drama could have benefitted from a strong editing hand and less characters.

She’s strong. The writing isn’t. And we all suffered together

"Like ordering a fun power suit—but getting a full suit, tie, socks, and a surprise villain that nobody asked for ,
honestly petite heroine, Herculean fists—and a kidnapping subplot that really overstayed its welcome."

"She’s tiny, cute, and could launch you into orbit—romance, crime, and chaos guaranteed." 💥
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon : 6 or let's say 5.5/10 (at best) – A Superpowered Rom-Com That Starts Adorably Strong, Then Trips Over Its Own Plot

✨ THE GOOD:
Park Bo-young? Adorable menace. She carried the show in heels and still had energy to throw grown men like pillows.
Lead chemistry – Cute, soft, kinda like watching a rom-com inside a marshmallow.
The premise – Tiny woman with super strength? Sign me up. Just not for 16 episodes , or even for more then few minutes tbh .

😩 THE “WHAT EVEN IS THIS?” MOMENTS:
That kidnapping plot – Went from “thriller vibes” to “please just kidnap the scriptwriter too.”
Gangsters = walking cringe – Their scenes felt like deleted sketches from a bad comedy show.
Tone flips every 5 minutes – One second we’re in a cartoon, next minute someone’s tied up in a basement. Pick a lane !

💔 THE “PLEASE JUST END IT” FACTOR:
Romance? Cute but tired.
Pacing? Painful.
By episode 12 or maybe since episode 8 actualy , we were all watching out of obligation. Like visiting your aunt who won’t stop talking.

🎯 VERDICT:
"Like buying a glittery pink punching bag—fun for five minutes, then just in the way."

Watch if: You like Park Bo-young, don’t mind tonal confusion, and enjoy rom-coms with crime sprinkled in like bad seasoning.
Skip if: You value pacing, sanity, or your precious time.

Best paired with: 🍜 Cold noodles, mild regret, and the skip button—use it wisely.

Petite Powerhouse Fun

Rom-com/thriller: From birth, women of the Do family are gifted with supernatural strength that they must use for good and not evil. A young tech CEO sees the protagonist using her strength against gangsters and—since someone is threatening his life—convinces her to be his bodyguard. The teensy, powerful woman and genius tech CEO are surrounded by a cast of hilarious characters, including a delightfully handsome second male lead vying for Bong-Soon’s heart. In the midst of hijinks, there is a psycho serial killer in the background who decides he will become her nemesis and destroy her.

Bong-Soon’s “done with your s**t” attitude when people are being So. Extra. is relatable as heck, and I love, love, love her for it. (Also, you have to admire the man who looked at this Tinkerbelle of a woman, found out that her singular talent is snapping bad men in half with one hand, and immediately said, ‘That’s the sexiest thing I have ever seen in my life. And also I like her so, SO much. #adorable #cutestever #pleaselikemeback’)

The funniest scene happens when the FL acts helpless and asks her crush (who doesn’t know about her super-strength) to open a jar for her, and the male lead can only gape from the background at her audacity. Also, I would willingly take either (or both) of the male leads home and adopt them. They are Worth It.
