without Park Hyungsik this would have been a total flop
the concept was nice, there were some good jokes in there, and the chemistry between Park Hyungsik and Park Bo young was out of this world.HOWEVER some jokes were way too disrespectful and I think without these I would have enjoyed the show so much more. also the plot was all over the place, I kind of decided to act like some characters weren't there and completely dismissed their storylines on purpose for selfcare (the whole gang, monk, and gay stereotypes plotlines to name a few) only to find out they weren't useful for the main plot anyway.
tbh Park Hyungsik's acting made it bearable let's be real, and if it weren't for the good mood he sets everytime he's on screen I would have probably not even given episode 2 a chance.

This drama is really lovely, short and sweet. You have Ahn Min Hyuk, CEO of a gaming company who acts very uncaring, and Do Bong Soon, who has power of strength but who is very sweet and caring to towards people she cares about. Both actors were great in this show, and I really enjoyed watching how they both developed both in their personality and in their relationship. It is not a fast moving drama, at least not in the romance department so if that is what you are wanting you have to wait for it since it develops slowly. Highly recommend you watch this drama and decide if it is right for you. I truly enjoyed it. Was this review helpful to you?
It takes a different approach which is refreshing and they do it very well. The show did start to slow down around the 8th episode but nothing to bad.
It was definitely interesting to see how such a cute and funny show could also be very intense. Overall you will be smiling but get ready some serious moments as well.
The actors have great chemistry and did a great job showing all the different emotions experienced throughout the series.
I very highly recommend this show to everyone!

Comedy, romance, and mystery combined. Wow
This series is so fun and amazing. I was hooked from the first episode. The comedy was amazing, the relationships felt real and made sense. The actors were so good. The music was nothing spectacular but it didn’t detract and the superpower girl song was pretty good. Male and female lead had amazing chemistry. The whole thing was funny. Love and family relationships showed development. The plot was good. The mystery was interesting. The whole show was satisfying to watch. Actually bought the series on DVD just so I could watch it again after they took it off Netflix. Would definitely recommend.Was this review helpful to you?
I Just... Don't Know.
So... I don't know what to say about Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Was it a good drama? Sure I enjoyed. Was it my favorite? Not by a long shot. So much happened in this drama that I found myself looking to see how much longer I had for each episode. It felt like they were trying to jam 3 dramas into 1 and it was a chore to watch them. The acting was great and I enjoyed the characters, but just didn't like how the exacuted the drama as a whole. Could have been better and could have been worse. Do I plan on rewatching it??? Yeah, but only if I'm really, really desperate for something to watch.Was this review helpful to you?

My second ever kdrama!SWDBS is definitely up there as one of my fave kdramas. Many have said that the story tried to do too much but honestly I didn't see it like that. I saw a brilliant drama that just managed to intertwine the genre of romance, comedy and crime well. I feel that people put too many categories down as what a kind of kdrama it is. People believe that an office romance or having powers and the fact there is a serial killer in the drama is doing 'too much' to the story but I think it was done well enough so that it didn't affect the chemistry of the main leads.
Both PHS and PBY were perfect in this drama and their chemistry is defo one of the best I have seen. And my poor little Jisoo once again just falling short of being the guy for the female lead. But honestly this one was made for the Park couple.
The only flaw I saw in this drama really was the whole relationship with Guk Doo's ex and DBS' brother. Just thought it was unnecessary and also a plot hole as what even happened there??
Other than that, it was one of my rated 10 drama.

I loved this show. Though I had to watch it more than once to better understand the story, I loved the comedic tone. It completely balanced with the scenes that were emotional and quite serious. This was especially necessary because the serial killer in the show was written in such a sadistic way.I especially loved the romantic chemistry between Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Shik. Their chemistry made the story seem more real and fluid; it also helped to differentiate the reasons why Park Bo Young's character made the romantic choices she did throughout the series. It took me two viewings of the show to understand the love triangle, so if you have trouble I would suggest re-watching the show to better understand.
FYI: I loved the grandmother the best. Her role in the show was a small one but she was very memorable.

It’s a GREAT drama. The strongest point is the comedy, and I genuinely laughed a lot. The romance is great, Park Bo-young and Park Hyung-sik, have insane chemistry. The soundtrack is so good and memorable... I feel like I’m going to be listening to it for years.
For me, the secondary parts are some things that happen throughout the story that, honestly, aren’t interesting at all, like those “mafia” situations. Obviously, they’re just comic relief to ease the tension in some episodes.
One thing that really frustrated me, but this is more of a cliche, is the classic childhood friend who dates other girls, but only realizes he likes the female lead when another guy shows up for her. It’s a cliche, but it really annoys me a little. Luckily, it doesn’t go on for too long and doesn’t get that annoying, but it is a little frustrating.
Overall, aside from those last two points, the drama is wonderful. I really enjoyed it a lot, and I’ll definitely rewatch it in the future.
Bong Bong and Min Min will be missed...

É um ÓTIMO drama. O ponto mais forte é a comédia, e eu realmente dei muita risada. O romance é ótimo, Park Bo-young e Park Hyung-sik têm uma química absurda. A trilha sonora é tão boa e memorável... sinto que vou ouvi-la durante anos.
Para mim, as partes secundárias são algumas coisas que acontecem ao longo da história e que, realmente, não são nem um pouco interessantes, como aquelas situações dos "mafiosos". Obviamente, é apenas alívio cômico para aliviar a tensão de alguns episódios.
Uma coisa que realmente me frustrou, mas isso é algo mais clichê, é o clássico amigo de infância que namora outras garotas, mas que só percebe que gosta da protagonista quando aparece outro homem para ela. Isso é um clichê, mas realmente me irrita um pouco. Por sorte, isso não se estende por muito tempo e não chega a ser tão irritante, mas frustra um pouco.
No geral, tirando esses dois últimos pontos, o drama é maravilhoso. Eu realmente gostei muito e, com certeza, vou revê-lo no futuro.
Bong Bong e Min Min vão fazer falta...

Lots of staring
10/10 humor, but everything else lacking.(Maybe 10 is too high, but it's the only redeeming part of the show.)
Thriller parts lacked mystery after first few eps, and romance lacked substance.
Romance also dragged rest of the show, bc every scene was just staring.
I could have fast-forwarded through all the staring and still gotten the whole plot.
There was no romamce or drama in this show, just staring.
It's been a while since I watched it, so I forgot if OST is integrated into the show well, but about half the songs are nice and very memorable.

I feel like this show does deserve a second season, although I'm not really sure it will ever be made. It's a shame, as I think I've found a great plot for it. Anyways, talking about plot, this show managed to pull off the thriller plot, romance plot and comedy plot amazingly well! This show is a MUST TRY!

This is one of those shows that I have watched multiple times. She is just precious. Tiny in stature, but don't mess with her! The chemistry between the two mains was wonderful, and I loved that he seemed to be attracted to her before she was attracted to him. He treats her with such care and respect, I just LOVED their relationship. They were so sweet together, and it was wonderful watching him try to deal with his feelings for her.Her crying, however. They need to work with her to teach her how to correctly emote when she is crying. I could not take her seriously, and I wanted to laugh during one of the more dramatic scenes of the show. It was not a character flaw, I've seen her in other shows and that's the way she cries.
That said, I did NOT like the side story with the "gangsters" that were in the hospital, and her mom was a nightmare! I felt that the gangster stuff put it over the top into slapstick territory and the ending did, as well.
