Puppy Love
I didn't think I was going to like this K-Drama at first, but it quickly became a favorite!I was in need of a cute rom-com, and this 100% fit it. The two leads are SO adorable and have great chemistry. They have a very innocent "puppy-love" romance and are also quite funny!
Some of the side characters can be a bit annoying, but I feel like all are meant to be comedic. The second male lead was an interesting choice (he was SO much older and kind of grumpy- he reminded me of like the old stereotypical mean male leads) but even he grows on you...
By the end of it, I was low-key sad it was over. I really grew fond of so many of the characters and didn't want to see them go!

louis's obsession with boksil, his warm kind heart and clueless innocent charm AND inguk-jihyun's chemistry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the cutest feel-good romcom ever ♥3♥ i think inguk has it out for me bc im not supposed to feel as strongly as i did every time louis cried and felt heartbroken and upset ????? same w his happiness. it was so infectious i was crying seeing him upset and was smiling like a goof most of the time bc inguk is just !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Perfect wooooow Wow wowowow like Soooooooo PERFECT... for a 2016 drama, shopping king louis was oddly refreshing and light-hearted, despite the material. i also adored how no matter what, the main characters weren't sabotaged by having abrupt change of hearts for the needs of the story— they stayed as caring and in love with each as they first started out :D one more thing i rly wanna applaud the makers for is, how they dealt with the second lead, cha jungwon, here. instead of making him rival sweet louis and go alpha on boksil bc of his one-sided feelings, we see jungwon being smart and understanding of what's in front of his eyes— that boksil and louis are it for each other. that he has no chance and he should back off. ergo his adorable bromance with louis and a good mentor kinda relationship w boksil!!!! rly mature 🙌 not much to say aside from watch if you're having some ugly days bc it'll cheer you up w it's fairytale-esque setting and magical romance bw two of the goodest people in the world

Not much to buy
You have to give some credits to the writers and scenarists of this drama, and recognize their relentless efforts to pull off characters and context that will pissed you off almost certainly every 25 sec. And I can tell, I've timed the thing ^^.More seriously, this is, all things considered, a good drama. Not exactly a very good one, but still entertaining and easy to watch. It's also the typical kind of drama that is a bit hard to give a fair rating : Acting and cast was great, while not unforgettable either. Scenes and sequences were directed flawlessly, while not especially mind-blowing, at any rate. Story is simple, a bit exagerated...
Eventually, I think this drama falls short of a strong background, motivations, desires that could have put the show on a whole different level. Everything in here was all about some small fights that finally let the main characters have their way, as if this story took place in a fantasy world far from us.
Then ... while I enjoy (a bit) watching this drama, I can't exactly recommend it to anyone looking for an "incontournable et inoubliable chef d'oeuvre".

Very Unique and Fun
9/10 is my rating for this one. It is a 2016 South Korean drama spanning 16 episodes (~60 minutes/episode). A romantic comedy about Louis (Seo In-guk), a rich heir who always spends money to buy everything that has a subtle beauty (he hears them “speaking to him)l. One day he loses his memory and meets Bok-Shil (Nam Ji-hyun), a pure and energetic woman from the countryside. She is at first astounded by his spending habits. In the process of teaching him to only buy bare necessities or inexpensive small kindnesses that lighten up one's day, she also learns that bare necessities are not same for everyone as they depend on everyone's own values that shape their life and thus their shopping patterns. Both have innate innocence which bring them to care for each other, leading to undeniable love.Spoiler 🚨 This one was so much fun throughout I missed it when it was over. The leads were so absolutely adorable together I was their cheerleader the entire way. It was fun to see them surviving the city jungle together and their unconditional love and support of each other.

Seo In-guk plays Kang Ji-sung / Louis, a chaebol heir with the personality of a golden retriever raised by marshmallows. It’s not just that he’s good at being sweet—it’s how naturally he radiates a kind of emotional sunlight that most K-dramas would reserve for grand finales. Louis is utterly useless in daily life (read: boiling water is a hazard), but you can’t help but root for him. Seo In-guk brings a physicality and charm that makes even the most slapstick moments feel endearing rather than irritating. It’s a role that seems sculpted specifically for him.
Nam Ji-hyun as Go Bok-sil is nothing short of magnificent. She is the drama’s emotional backbone—gentle yet formidable. Bok-sil is the type of heroine who isn’t scripted to be strong; she just is. Nam Ji-hyun, with that subtle gift of microexpression, can break your heart with a single blink. Her grief, her joy, her confusion—it all flows out with terrifying authenticity. In one pivotal scene, she moved from blissful hope to absolute heartbreak in less than a second, and I followed her like a marionette. If Shin Hye-sun is my gold standard for emotional sync, Nam Ji-hyun is the first to come shockingly close.
What sets Shopaholic Louis apart is its central love story: there are no games. No “who will confess first” tropes. No artificial tension via misunderstandings. It’s just two people slowly growing into each other, gently, awkwardly, beautifully.
Louis and Bok-sil don’t fall in love—they arrive at it. Like vines around the same trellis, they find their footing by accident, twining slowly until one day, you realize they’re inseparable. Their love isn’t declared; it’s demonstrated. But the true MVP? “Tiger Moth” by MONSTA X. If this drama were a battlefield, this track would be its sword. Anyone viewing this as a fantasy is concerning
I have never seen a male lead so incredibly selfish and immature. It was not giving amnesia; it was giving lobotomy. Not only did Louis act like a literal baby, he cost the FL so much money and frustration. She was literally worse off for knowing him. It got so bad, I couldn't make it past episode 7. It seemed to become a question of who would she choose: the responsible (yet unprofessional) adult or the literal baby. The director was an HR nightmare, but anyone attracted to Louis creeps me out. He was a toddler in an adult body. Right down to throwing tantrums when he didn't get his way.Louis barely did anything to try to help GBS. She was working so hard and had very little money to survive on her own and he never seemed to care about how much she suffered or sacrificed for him. He never thought to try to get a job on his own or at least not cost her so much money. It goes beyond not knowing the value of money; he literally knew nothing he "had" belonged to him; it was GBS's money. And he spent it anyway. He's selfish, has a shopping addiction, and seemed borderline illiterate.
GBS was also ridiculously naive. There were points where it made sense for her not to know better. The work drama, for example. But there were times she believed extremely obvious scams and, if Louis was 2, she was 8 at the most. Neither of them should've been left alone. Regardless of that, Louis still relied on her to cook for him and clean up after him and give him an allowance like she was his mommy. I can't fathom anyone finding any aspect of this romantic.
Usually, I think long and hard before dropping a drama. If I made it more than a couple of episodes in, I try to give it a chance. I found Louis' lack of growth by this point made the show unwatchable. Even if he got his memory back and paid GBS back for the thousands of dollars she spent on him while he remained completely useless, it still wouldn't make up for him being so utterly unlikable. She deserved better and its clear the writers of the show don't think so. My heart honestly hurts for any woman thinking anything about this "romance" was sweet. That poor girl was a victim.

fluffy... the good way
I'm totally in love with both the ML and FL and also with the rest of the cast! Such a nice relaxing sunny journey - though tropes are there, but who cares? A lesson abt love and humanity... all done right. Visuals are flawless, nice landscapes, nice cityscapes, nice rooftop - yes, the famous South Korean rooftop is present here too.Acting is also flawless, cant think of anything better. The action and delivery have a lot of flesh to them, obviously this is an exquisite production.
If i were to find any flaw, it's this obsession of Korean dramas for achieving perfection. Everything is so rounded, everything falls into place - far from real life by a million light-years.
And also... why is everyone an orphan?? Both the ML and the FL are orphans raised by a kind granny who dies by the end of the series. So, at 25, they are the oldest in the family line. Seriously??
I would certainly rewatch anytime.

Loved it so much. It's cute, cute and cuter. Usually hate amnesia tropes, but when it's used as main story and a comedy and not a desperate plot device then it works and can be fun. I can't say I cared for the story, the char development or anything really that was going on with the supporting characters. I was bored to bits but kept coming back because of the cute main couple. They didn't have chemistry but they can act....
Nothing amazing, but still well produced and wins my heart because of the good acting with a cheesy script. And... I love cheese!

Funny drama with some crying in sensitive places.
Good actors, the actors had very good chemistry on screen.There are funny parts, some moving, and some overwhelming.
It was a bit annoying and incomprehensible the whole part where the main actor took so many blows to the head. (How did his head not open?)
Each character brings sensitivity and love to something that in my eyes is beautiful.
I liked that they didn't spread the role of the bad guy, and they ended it nicely.
I loved that there was love between the main actors from start to finish.
And show how it all started between them.
I liked less that they did not refer to the love of the following actors:
Jo In Sung.
Nam Joo Hyuk was my favorite.
Especially Baek Ma Ri they didn't say what with her at the end especially she was kind of a main actress.

MUST WATCH DRAMA
This is my first time writing review in the middle of drama.....this drama deserves it like how it can be soo beautiful......story line , characters all are soo adorably plotted ..... watching this drama in 2021 like seriously where I was living whole time....this drama is now best kdrama......
