Both drama are about a bratty girl becoming princess who turn the palace up side down. Both dramas a awesome historical dramas.

Although the stories are different, a lot of conversations, wording, and comedy reminds me of Princess Pearl.

The similarity between Nothing gold can stay and Princess pearl is that the setting of both the drama's is in Qing Dynasty

some main characters of Princess Pearl are reunited again in Romance in the Rain. it is just lovely to see them acting together and thus the writer of Princess Pearl is also the one who writes RITR. RITR is a story of tragedy, comedy, life struggling, and eternal romance.

while watching princess pearl I keep thinking of how similar the fake princess plot is to the king's daughter su baek hyang. they both have two female leads (one a real princess and the other a fake and they get switched). except in KDSBH the fake princess did scheme to get into the palace, while in princess pearl it was all a misunderstanding.

Princess Pearl is the original series while returning pearl is made the parody of the princess pearl.
