Yuan Song tries to assassinate Yan Xun but gets his arm cut off in the process. Yan Xun sends him and Yuan Chun back to Wei capital. A'Chu persuades the Xiu Li army that Yan Xun will accept them when they return to Northern Yan and they encounter Yuan Song and Yuan Chun. A'Chu is shocked that they are being treated inhumanely with Yan Xun's approval, reasoning that his actions resulted from his family being killed senselessly. Wen Yue informs his grandfather that he will make his own decisions henceforth.
