Don't get me wrong. The story wasn't all that bad but it wasn't what i was personally looking for. The cast was good and acting was better than most. Music was unremarkable and common. Sime good fight scenes as well (these i enjoyed). Companies producing this drama have to do what that must to keep the cash flow going. So i can't be too mad when the band restricts output. With that being said, i came here to watch the romance and sexual interactions *~*. I came to be a pervert and left disappointed. And i didn't even get so much as a peck on the lips. There was skinship and i guess one "implied" sex scene. I don't even think it was . It was in the very last couple of episodes But no make out and no legit confession from any of the three couples. But i did have a good time at the beginning. The ending was animated which irritated me. I suggest to watxh the last 5 episodes with patience because the character can be very dim witted and full on stupid at times. Some characters were beyond crazy and could have had mental trama/illness. **I am not making jokes or say mental illness isn't serious** So if you don't mind the lack of kiss scenes and closure then i recommend.

Hsia Yao is rich guy that works sometimes (pun intended) and a rich girl called Yuan Roo falls for him. So she tells her brother, Yuan Zong, the CEO of a important bodyguard company, that she wants Hsia Yao to be her boyfriend. So the brother goes kinda stalking Yao but at the Yuang Zong ends up falling in love with him too. With this we have also Hsia yao's friends stories: Xuan Da Yu, a rich rich guy and how he meets Wang Zhi Shui, a thief and artist. Peng Ze, and how he wants to get closer to girl but he has a lovely model friend instead, Li Zhen Zhen.
The story started up so well but towards the middle we ended up with a lot of weird situations and obviously we have the China BL ban, so we don't have kissing or intimate scenes. Everything is off screen but we can assume that those moments take place. Everyone here is handsome and cute (I have to vote for Xuan Da Yu as my favorite) and each couple have their moments in the story. I liked the romance moments and the music of the series IS GREAT, I mean the songs are so catchy.
Off all the couples, my favorite is Xuan Da Yu and Wang Zhi Shui. I mean, they started bad: WZS steals from him but then they have cute moments together: XDY even goes when WZS used to live and finds out the tragedy of his past. Even though XDY has feelings for his best friend HY, we are kind of aware that he develops feelings for WZS too. And I wanted to see MORE OF THIS STORY DAMN.
As well of Peng Ze and Li Zhen Zhen, we don't have that many scenes, they are almost invisible and that's bad. And the main couple, I mean, I liked Hsia Yao but the was too good and do so many heroic stuff but man, Yuan Zong takes the cake. He was hot and adorable and charming. YES.
Overall and taking aside China's BL Ban, I think this is a fun and charming story. Even with all the weird moments (Hsia Yao and the doctors is the worst by far), I really liked the characters and the music is great. My favorites are Xuan Da Yu and Wang Zhi Sui *hands down*
Probably rewatch it? I don't know. Maybe in a couple of years, who knows.

At first, while watching the first episode I thought that i wouldn't stick to this Bl and thunk that I would give up on in about the 3rd our 4th episode but I sticked around and ended watching the entire thing in one day. I must say the story over all is amazing and the characters had great chemistry and especially love the way Yao acted with Yuan and how the went back and fourth teasing each other. They have sort of a hate relationship at first but that eventually changed to the point were they slept together multiple times (as in sleeping on the same bed together) I especially like the development on both the main characters especially Yao and there are some bl were that one female is just so annoying, but yuan's sister wasn't that bad And I like the fact that it had other characters dealing with relationships tooEverything's great and all especially the opening until the last few episode. Am pretty sure every one was hoping for either Yuan or Yao to confess there love or even kiss but that wasn't the case it didn't have a bad ending just not a satisfying ending. like this was one of the first bl drama I ever watched besides Guardian were they didn't confess and have a satisfying ending. Its definitely worth watching thoe and I would most definitely re-watch it just for Yuan and Yao chemistry. The only thing That was not great about this bl was the ending

Recomendation: If you watched this on Viki... MUST rewatch on dailymotion.
I watched this a couple of days ago on Viki for the first time. Even when I really enjoyed the series overall, I got kinda pissed off by the ending (which felt unfinished), I just wanted them together (Xia Yao and Yuan Zong) somehow.Last night, all my dreams came true. I found out that I watched a heavily censored version (without even realize it).
So, I won't spoil anything, except that: If you liked the series or the ML's chemistry; If you thought there was "potential" to be good; If the ending left you weird out somehow... Then go inmediately to Dailymotion and watch the uncut version (30 episodes, +21 mins each).

I'm not that much a fan of the plot and I don't understand how you could rewatch this, I have good memory so maybe thats why, this was entertaining but not to the point i would rewatch this even though i would know what is gonna happen. It's cute and nice. Ending is horrible. What is up with that animation at least make it about the main characters. Typing this because of the 500 character limit, still aren't there...also hate the sister, if you like the sister you're werid. 5000000000000000000000000000000000 (9/23/22 why did I keep mentioning rewatching it?! As someone who read the book right before I watched the show, I was quite pleased with the way it was executed. Sure the book was a total romance while this was a total bromance (though it gets quite obvious that they're in a relationship), but most of the dialogues and the story stayed true to the novel and I'm so glad that they made it work despite the censor board blocking their path.Now I must say, this show is VERY flawed. The acting was average, at times the storyline got boring, and the editing could have been better. But what won me over is that they used the exact same dialogues from the novel most of the time and I was so glad. I went in to watch the show with absolutely no expectations, and I was left satisfied.
As a fan of the book, I think they did a very decent job. The casting was great! And there was a lot of fluff XD so that's a plus.
It is worth a watch if you are bored and need some slice of life.

A perfection, if it's not restricted
Trust me, the original story is so remarkable and excellent. I've read the novel fully after watching this and if this eventually not restricted, perfection. I adore Ms. Chai right after reading a quarter of this novel. So, watch this first then read the novel, you won't disappoint much.The story itself is novel based, it is has a strong base and variety of scenes. For the production, it is good, but some parts are in an awkward angle and I don't really like their color palette, also their clothes pick. Some scenes look somewhat stiff, but it's still enjoyable. There are some plot holes too. And instead of saying it as bromance, it's actually a really smear BL (like when they're not having enough episode to confess). The cast, I am shaking. Especially, Yuan Zong, Jason definitely born to play this role. Their acting, it's a big applaud to both of them, especially the cringy bird conversation. Some support cast a bit bland and bizarre also some scenes.
The music itself sounds good, unique, and helps the scene as to how it supposed to work. But not at the rate of I'll shove it to my playlist. Lastly, am I going to re-watch it? Yes, I've re-watched it over 100 times already, even yesterday. Just because somewhat the live-action is more interesting than just words.

Overall it wad generally a good boys love drama, although they do not officially start to date, there journey to their love was fantastic. The 2 main actors were soooo handsome (the main reason I decided to watch it :) ).
I would definitely recommend this because no only was it romantic, it was funny as well. The only bad thing is that the ending was rubbish. I mean it left me questioning so many things. But hopefully they will do a second season.

I also loved how long the series was. I would say the only problem I had with it but I would still watch it again anyway was that it ended so abruptly. I wanted some finalization if you know what I mean. No matter what though I would rewatch this show again and again.

To be honest the only negative about this show is that it ended so early. The characters are well developed and each get proper story arcs which allows the audience connect with them and build a favourite character. If I could change anything than I would have changed the last episode as the sudden switch to animation was a little unsettling in terms of the show's tone however it was still such a great drama and I was sad when it finished. It had such funny side characters but the main couple also had their moments. My favourite couple being DaYu and Zhi Shui because they were so funny and Zhi Shui was constantly playing hard to get. I wish they had a spin-off show. The way they presented the struggle that Xia Yao went through due to his lack of sexual attraction to women was well done and the way they presented the trauma he went through was perfect even though to keep the light hearted tone it was made humourous it still showed his instability. The portrayal of Yuan Zhong feeling of responsibility for his sister due to the fact that he practically raised her like a father and yet had to leave her alone when he became a soilder was used as a more complex internal conflict that led to Zhong and Yao meeting for the first time. The way the properly explained Zhi Shui's dark past and yet didn't destroy the tone of the show was extremely well done and I think Xue Feng did a great job acting as Zhi Shui. I watched this is 2018 when and I still rewatch certain episodes and enjoy the drama especially episodes that focus on DaYu and Zhi Shui however overall I enjoy re-watching all episodes of the show and I really do wish each secondary couple could have had their own spin-offs. Overall the cast was brilliant and so was the story line, production and direction, Yang Long (the director) should be really proud of this work. Was this review helpful to you?
So many scenes were cut
I was so excited to watch this drama at first but as each episode went on I could tell that so many scenes got cut out which is so sad and it left so many questions. I really wish it was censored cause I feel that this could have been great but with what I watched on Viki, I wouldn't call it a BL and I wouldn't say that it's worth watching when every couple of minutes the screen fades to black and we are at a whole new setting, a whole new day. and no context as to what happened in the inbetween time.Was this review helpful to you?
