Mediocre
Plot: Two student policemen who went to find girlfriends in a bar accidentally witnessed a kidnapping incident of a woman they were about to hit on. Nothing too deep about the plot, it was rather flat and shallow.Acting: Convincing acting of everyone. Just two silly students who suddenly found out about their passion and mission in life.
Music: Nothing memorable for me.
Rewatch Value: Not something I would rewatch even on boring days.
Overall: It has it’s funny moments but not exactly light but more on subpar plot and dull flow. 6 stars for the comical sense and acting but not recommendable. You won’t miss out on anything if you haven’t watched it yet.

The main element of this film is comedy, not crime investigations, the male characters are clumzy and funny, this is what connects the audience to this film. The writing is not great but it is beautiful. It is enough to touch your heart and bring a smile on your face, of course not worth repeating but definitely worth watching once.Was this review helpful to you?
fantastic
one of the most captivating films i've seen in a while.park seojoon and kang haneul's chemistry is incredible and rly portrayed a wholesome sense of brotherhood. there weren't any scenes with other candidates/people outside the academy which is fine tbh. i wouldve liked to see them eat steak at heeyeols fathers market tho loll that wouldve been fun
the movie started off pure and lighthearted and got dark and serious rly fast but i don't have anything wrong with that. it was a good blend of comedy and action and who doesn't love a good old training montage. their characters were passionate and hardworking and insanely driven. plot was simple and easy to follow, brought me to tears and would definitely rewatch

If South Korea produced a remake of "3 Idiots", this would be it.
This drama is just two knuckleheads running around South Korea and doing weird stuff together. I guess it was a little funny?? But what little humour couldn't even make up for the lacklustre and dry plot. There's nothing original or interesting about this movie. I suggest you save your time to go watch something else.In summary:

11. Januari. 2026Halo, baru nonton lagi karena lagi fokus selesaiin 1 Kdrama dan 1 Variety Show. Film pilihanku kali ini adalah Midnight Runners. Pilihan ini karena ada Kang Ha-neul [ ada dia juga di A Year-End Medley ], tapi di film ini, aku juga jadi kenalan dengan Park Seo-joon dan juga Sung Dong-il.
Variety Show yang aku tonton sekarang adalah House on Wheels dan di situ ada Sung Dong-il juga, nanti kita bahas ! Sekarang fokus di Midnight Runners dulu. Cerita film sederhana, tentang sekolah kepolisian gitu, Kang Ha-neul dan Park Seo-joon adalah siswa gabut yang tetiba di suatu malam berhadapan dengan kasus penculikan perempuan, bertujuan mengambil paksa sel-sel telur buat dijual lagi.
Kenapa Midnight Runners ?
Karena semalaman mereka harus lari-larian mengejar orang jahat tersebut. Film ini action tapi ada banyak komedi. Kocak banget deh duo Kang Ha-neul dan Park Seo-joon itu, aku ketawa terus nonton dan bahkan nonton lebih dari sekali masih ga bosen. Kalau dirasa-rasa hidupku perlu hiburan, aku pasti nonton ulang.

Park Seo-joon as Park Ki-joon, a light-hearted risk taker who acts first and thinks later
Kang Ha-neul as Kang Hee-yeol, the total opposite of Ki-joon and more of a thinker than a doer
Jadi kedua murid itu beda karakter. Park Ki-joon yang diperankan Park Seo-joon itu lebih suka melakukan sesuatu tapi mikir akibatnya belakangan. Beda dengan Kang Hee-yeol yang diperankan Kang Ha-neul yang memikirkan semua dengan matang, tapi buat memulai banyak keraguan. Mereka saling melengkapi dan kompak banget menangkap penjahat.
Kemudian di film ini juga mengajarkan bahwa sekolah itu bukan SCAM ya ( ha ha seperti kasus yang viral di Indonesia Januari 2026 ), semua materi yang dipelajari di sekolah kepolisian beneran bisa dipraktekkan di dunia nyata, karena itulah Park Ki-joon dan Kang Hee-yeol walau sudah mendapat penghargaan tetap memutuskan kembali ke sekolah, buat belajar lebih banyak lagi.

Le duo le plus chaotique mais le plus attachant du cinéma coréen.
"Midnight Runners" c’est typiquement le genre de film qui te fait passer un moment de fou sans que tu vois défiler les minutes 🔥. J’étais à fond du début à la fin et honnêtement, j’aurais signé direct pour 30 minutes de plus tellement je me suis marrée 🤣Le duo Park Seo Joon / Kang Ha Neul, mais quelle masterclass 😭🫶🏻. Ils sont complètement opposés et pourtant… ensemble c’est l’explosion 💥. Leurs chamailleries, leur façon de réagir à chaque galère, les expressions faciales m’ont achevée 😂. J’ai eu l’impression de suivre deux gamins lancés dans une mission beaucoup trop grande pour eux, mais qui refusent de lâcher l’affaire 💪🏻
Ce qui est cool, c’est que derrière l’humour, l’histoire tient vraiment la route 👌🏻. On a une enquête sérieuse, des moments de tension, de l’action bien rythmée… mais tout est contrebalancé par leurs réactions improbables 😅. Résultat... tu passes du stress à l’éclat de rire en deux secondes chrono 👍🏻
Perso, j’ai adoré l’énergie qui se dégage du film. C’est fun, rafraîchissant, jamais lourd. Et en même temps, t’as ce petit côté attachant qui fait que tu t’attaches vraiment aux persos, leurs galères sont devenu les miennes 😅. Quand le film s’est terminé, je me suis dit direct, "pourquoi y’a pas un deuxième volet ?!” 🥲 Parce que sincèrement, je veux encore voir ces deux-là galérer ensemble 😁
Bref, "Midnight Runners" c’est un mélange parfait entre action, humour et complicité. J’ai ri, j’ai vibré, j’ai pas vu le temps passer. Un vrai coup de cœur fun ❤️✌🏻

Empatik biriyseniz mağdurların durumunu düşündükçe içiniz içinizi yiyecek ve karakterlerin yerine kendinizi koyacaksınız. Adaletli olmadığını düşündüğünüz durumda kendi adaletinizi sağlamak düzen açısından yanlış olsa da istisnalar kaideyi bozmaz diyorum. Nasıl olsa kan davası gibi bir olay yok ortada, izleyince göreceksiniz ki adaleti sağlaması gereken kişiler dahi bu dünyada adaleti doğru sağlayamadıklarını görüyor ve kendi adaletlerini yaratıyor :D komik gerçekten. İki şapşalın çok komik ama duygu dolu hikayesi.. Hani her hüzünlü filmden sonra kalbinize bir öküz oturur ya o öküz yok çünkü film o kadar komik ki.
