Do not hesitate to watch
I was pushing away this drama for years thinking it is nothing I would like. It sounded so boring to watch ordinary people who struggle in life and moved from friends to lovers….blah..I am so glad I gave it a try, finally, and currently is in my top 10 SK dramas!
It is still a story about an ordinary people, but it conveys so many messages and fill your chest with inspiration and courage!
Yes, they all struggle, but for a first time it didn’t seemed suffocating to watch how poor and unsuccessful they are (at the beginning). They all were constantly growing and developing through the entire series.
What else? Awesome comedy, Nice story, Villain who is believable, Friendship, some drama and so much more!

A heartwarming, down to earth masterpiece
I recently rewatched this drama for the second time and it was still as great as it was the first time. The drama is extremely human and takes you on an adventure with 4 childhood friends as they navigate through their late 20's to find their dreams and love along the way. I can confidently say that there is not one thing I can knit pick on this drama and I give it all my stars. To sum up my thoughts on this drama: "THIS SH*T'S HILARIOUS" and "I feel that, to my core" are some words that come to mind and I would recommend this to anyone whose looking for a relatable funny drama, I can guarantee this drama will fill the shoes perfectly.
Sidenote: The amount of memes that came out of this drama alone is off the charts and that just tells you how great it is.

I haven't watched a drama this good in a lonnngggg time. All four main characters were interesting and captivating in their own ways and I never had the urge to skip or fast forward (rare for me lately!) I love how easy and effortless it was to watch this show, every hour felt like ten minutes and I'll definitely be rewatching.

Fight for my Way
This series was so much fun to watch! it was very humorous, very warm-hearted, and very engaging. This is my third Kim Jiwon series, and thankfully it did not dissappoint! The main couple's chemistry and love for each other felt so real. Their best friends to being in love, but also being best friends arc was so amazing to see, and you can tell that they like and love each other so much. It was really nice to see them both caring for each other.
The second couple's story was a bit depressing and pissed me off, but I am happy with the last few episodes regarding their story (if you know what I mean).
The drama overall felt very realistic. I could relate to a lot of the plot lines, and it is very comforting to people who may not know their place in life.
However, a few of the plots pissed me off. Mainly, the one with the ex girlfriend and the random plot twist at the end. It didn't feel very necessary and ruined the last few episodes for me.
This was a really amazing drama though, and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun story and a good laugh.

Two words: WATCH IT
This is one of the most unique and heart-warming shows in my opinion, and I've rewatched it multiple times by now.We see 2 beautiful couples who grew up as childhood best friends, they know and understand each other better than anyone ever could. What makes this series so special is how it portrays real-life problems that many people face, chasing your dreams and its many many barriers.
However, it is precisely when these barriers arise that these best friends turned couple are able to support each other through difficult and challenging times, and I find that incredibly endearing and beautiful.
Acting was top-notch and the story itself contains deep messages, the pace was perfect for me neither rushing nor dragging at all.

Surprisingly good
Story: The plot is straightforward that’s why I loved this drama. Shows the struggle of an ordinary human being with his passion. Very realistic, if you ask me. Definitely falling under RomCom & slice of life genre. I cried almost every episode here. Dramas about family make my heart hurt. Although the first few episodes were uneventful, it got better after. I skipped some parts about the supporting couple and their office romance but I like how they interpreted it in a mature way. There are many quotable lines here as well.Acting: Major applause to PSJ acting, I love him here. He can be childish, cool, gentle, dramatic and manly all the same time. I can’t help but drool over his body 😍 Kim Ji won did good as well, with the mix of cuteness and fierceness. Like a cat. I just wish they’d justify her being afraid of Dong man in a fight with her feisty attitude. Like have scenes why loss or death would be scary for her. Other actors all did great except for the landlady. I also think that her son’s story was a bit unnecessary.
Music: okay, I guess, but not memorable for me.
Rewatch value: will probably skip the scenes that made me cry 😅
Overall: I think it was surprisingly good. I usually read bad reviews before starting a drama so that I won’t expect too much but fortunately, their negative comments wasn’t too much for me. I enjoyed this drama very much.

This drama is very cute and lighthearted; just a no-frills rom-com, so there's no mystery or thriller factor. However, it managed to keep me interested because I wanted to see the story unfold since it was interesting. I liked the plot and I think that it is a nice drama to watch if you are feeling like watching a calm drama for the romance, and isn't full of tension-filled scenes. The ending was nice too. I think that the acting was good and the actors portrayed their characters well. In conclusion, I think that this drama is perfect for those who want to watch a drama to relax and unwind, or to calm down after watching a suspense-filled drama. Was this review helpful to you?

All the characters had good chemistry and the story was appealing. They struggled like real people and found their way out of it in their own way. I felt for all of them, especially Dong Man. The actor who played him did an amazing job. He conveyed his emotions in the right way, and I really fell for his acting. His character also had the most interesting story and personality.
I liked the love story between Ae Ra and Dong Man the most. It was sweet, a little predictable but exciting, nonetheless. What bothered me was Ae Ra bossing over him. I just hate people that yell and think that they are always right. He should also have the right to follow his dream. I applauded him when he first chose his dream and got disappointed when he changed his mind. I know she thinks she is doing the best thing for him, but she is not. I hate characters that are like “Pick either this or me” Why couldn’t he just stand up for his passion? And why couldn’t she accept it because she sees how much it means to him? Ugh! I know what the writers were going for. The “Love over everything” bullshit.
I liked the four main characters friendship, but I noticed that the other two were excluded in Ko Dong man’s most important moments, like his first fight with Tak Soo. It was obvious that they wanted to leave Ae Ra and Dong Man alone.
The relationship between Joo Man and Seol Hee got boring from time to time, even though it was unique. And I sometimes found myself either skipping or waiting for their scenes to be over. Because the of their boring love story that went around in circles, I felt like they stole the other two’s screen time.
The last two episodes felt rushed and out of place. Everything happened too fast just to wrap things up. And I noticed that important extra’s didn’t get enough screen time; an example is Dong man’s little sister.
Except for all the negative points I made above and some other flaws. I still enjoyed this show because it focuses on people who are trying to get up after being down for so long and their journey to stand up again. Also, I didn’t feel there were any filler episodes and I was always excited for the next one.
So, give this show a try if you like this genre.
Goodbye to whoever who reads it (Did someone read this? )

철들수록 꿈이 사라지는 거면, 나는 그냥 철들기를 포기할라고.
Dear friends, behold, the finest historical specimen of the Golden Age* of Korean dramas: Fight For My Way! Insanely cute and funny, just as much problematic.🔸"I'm dating you, and why do you have to do everything your own way?" While the drama is literally called "My Way" and sends the message of embracing your own desires and independence, this message arrives twisted when it came through the hours of childish interactions between the characters who try to make their romantic partners comply with their whims. But this message doesn't come out of thin air, and the exceptional rating of 13.8% demonstrate what was amusing for the Korean society in 2017 and what was its itch.
This drama characterized by a radical intolerance to others' choices, and that intolerance is often presented as humorous or romantic. But tell me, please, if your partner said this to you, would you think of it as romantic?
- "If you do martial arts again we break up. We won't stay friends either and will never see each other again". (Says someone who is dating them and supposed to support and encourage).
- "I'm not going to marry anyone else, and if my burn gets infected I will die, so come apply the ointment today". (Says someone who got broken up with and doesn't want to let their partner go).
- "Why are you wearing such a short skirt?! Every man will look at your beautiful legs. Go and change right now!!!" (Says a male character to a female character)
The writer doesn't ever trust the characters to be truly self-reliant. She keeps glueing them together when they part their own ways, and this defies the whole narrative of the drama. The most interesting character is the aspiring announcer Choi Ae Ra. She doesn't have a documented proof of her talent and support system like the athlete Dong Man with his medals and a coach. She has to take many rejections and be flexible to achieve her goal, and I love a story like that. Unfortunately, her career didn't get a lot of runtime comparing to Dong Man and the romantic plot. It's such a big lose.
"철들수록 꿈이 사라지는 거면, 나는 그냥 철들기를 포기할라고. 그냥 남 보라고 철든 척 할 필요도 없고, 아끼면 다 똥되는 거고."
🔸The itch of finding a fulfilling career and pursuing your true passion is still very much present today, and it only grows bigger as Gen Z is entering the work force. But I hope that all these toxic traits in K-dramas are left in the past. Let's support K-dramas that don't romanticize manipulation!
* It's the Platinum Age now, post-Netflix. Don't you think?

This Is Why I Only Watch Kdramas Now: So Much Heart.
This is one of those rare dramas that I instantly had to rewatch a second time, I just couldn't let it go. I was hooked after the first fifteen minutes. I laughed so hard I actually hit the floor, but it was the heart that got me.I fell in love with all the characters, but the FL and ML took this drama to the top of my favs list by the end of ep.2. The actors chemistry was off the charts and the characters were so well written. It was hilarious how scared the ML was of the FL!
But what really makes this drama stand out for me is that it isn't always the ML saving the FL - they save each other. They support each other and always encourage each other to be strong.
You laugh and cry and swoon for these characters.

i had to change the score while writing this review
love the set up, with a strong female lead and the fun vibes the male lead and female lead havedon't care that much for the "in love with your friend for forever" trope but i guess it works for the comedy and stretches the story a bit in a good way
hate the offensive gay character portrayal and the "mistaken to be gay" trope
side note: this would have been an excellent set up for an actual love triangle (not just an arrow) because the chemistry between the first and second male lead was there, lol
