“Wecare not siblings.”

“What is it to you if I cook him ramyeon or a meal with 18 side dishes?”

“Nobody can beat someone who’s having fun.”

As the show goes on, itbecomes clear that the girls suck at life and the boys are good atwhat they do and get praised. The girls get chewed up and spat out.

Ko Dong Man – male lead
I’m a Park Seo Jun fan. Hischaracter in this show is...loud. And kind of a country hickKorean-style.
His acting is always sonatural.

“Is this what they callsexy? I look like a 90s office worker.”

Seo Jun is actually really soamazing. I really believed he was this awkward, gangly, impatientman-child.

I love Dong Man’s softheart.
“You’re, you’re notreally crying are you?”
“Pat me. Go ahead.”

And Dong Man as a kid is justgold.

Ae Ra – female lead

Ae Ra is a bit of a nagginghousewife. She does view Dong Man as more than a friend. But I likehow she’s so fierce and scary but she also is very vulnerable andsoft-hearted and doesn’t mind admitting it.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS
I liked all the characters andthe side plots. That’s really rare for me.

Coach: “I’m more afraid ofAe Ra than any woman in the world.”

Landlady: Hey, 102, fighting!
Dong Man: What did she say?
Joo Man: I think she justcursed at you

Joo Man and Sul Hee give the drama a great feel of relationship exploration. I love it when shows think past the HEA.

“Sul Hee was like the vast ocean.”

I like the way they paint Sul Hee’s character. Of this never ending giving loving person but so annoyingly weak. She’s a typical useless kind of girl but she’sso nice and warm you feel happy in her company. I loved the dramatic part of her relationship with Joo Man and what a calm and great person she was.

PARENTS
The parents dynamic in thisshow is really good. In a way it’s nothing new but the show just does it so darn well. The main characters become like children againaround their parents but they’re striving to prove themselves. And the parents really show how well they know their children even though sometimes it looks like they’re estranged. The relationship between Sul Hee and her mother, Joo Man and his mum, Ae Ra and her dad.
Dong Man’s relationship withhis father was so typical and familiar. A dad who doesn’t know howto say what he wants to say so it just comes out as criticism andinstruction. I actually really liked this segment because it was soclose to home.

ROMANCE

“I can’t take all the burden for you but I’ll take 2 out of 3 bullets for you.”

Dong Man and Ae Ra are like siblings. They fight squabble, and cry.

“Only the microphone moron can awake the sleeping Hulk.”

I really like that Ae Ra know show Dong Man reacts to anyone messing with her. She fears for her adversaries when Dong Man shows up.

“You can’t even look after yourself yet you’re always trying to defend others.”

Cute and funny romcom with a great cast and no major flaw

I enjoyed watching this drama very much. If you look for anything unique, don't watch this drama, it looks a lot like a lot of other romcoms from that era, but I didn't watch this drama for anything but a lighthearted romcom and I was overall satisfied. It has a very happy ending as well, which I honestly expected because most romcoms have happy endings.

The plot is pretty simple and straightforward. It's just about 4 childhood friends and their relationships (friendships, romance, family...), their goals and aspirations in life and how they accomplish them. Both the romance and comedy aspects of the drama were great, it was a sweet and fun drama. It was especially good in the first half of the drama but in the second half I felt that the pace was a bit slow and the story wasn't as interesting. Nothing serious but it's what I noticed. Also I wish we witnessed a bit more of the FL's career growth a bit more. I also can't get over the fact that she was always watching TV for her role model news anchor for so long but throwed away her dreams for another job just because the ML told her he thinks she's better fit for another job... Also wish there was bit more aegyo from the FL because it was the reason I got into this drama in the first place and it was adorable and funny. To be honest there wasn't that many flaws except a medium sized one is that the plot is a bit too simple.

As for the acting, it was very good, especially the main leads. They picked the right actors. I liked the main leads' chemistry but I feel like the second lead couple was even better. They also worked on the issues of their relationship quite well (even though it took a while) because I was kinda frustrated with the 2ML's behavior. The other supporting roles were good and I appreciated how the problematic ones like Park Hyeran and Jang Yejin got on good terms with the main leads even if it's not always realistic though I'm not watching a drama for realism.

The OSTs are good and exciting. It gets you on the romcom mood well. No bad OST.

I would watch it again if I had a lot of time and if I was a beginner Kdrama fan, because at that time I had lower standards for rewatching dramas and now I'm focused on finishing the other dramas I'm watching. But it was good, it's just that I don't see the point in rewatching the drama, when I could just rewatch a few scenes.

I don't have any very bad criticisms to say. There were a few minor flaws but overall it was a very enjoyable watch. I recommand this drama.

A messy but enjoyable watch

The edifice upon which this show is built is a chaotic, disorganised and spiralling series of plot threads that often didn't receive enough attention to the point where the show should have suffered. And it did in the sense of I felt it could have been so much better. At times it was ridiculous how conflicts were invented randomly without any foreshadowing, and then clumsily resolved. But crazily, Fight For My Way somehow, insanely, made it work. The messiness of the story simply worked in enriching what was fantastic about this show - and that was the relationship between Ae-ra and Dongman. Their chemistry was superb and they genuinely imparted a feeling that we were watching two bickering, best friends realising that they were in love with each other.

The romantic subplots sometimes diverted from what was really interesting about the show, made worse by how cleanly they were resolved without a hint of a mention later on. Ae-ra's early dating fling being a prime example of poor writing that somehow worked out all right. Where the show prospered was on combination of strong dialogue and terrific acting. Give me a bad plot and I'll still enjoy it if the characters and acting are good. This show embodied that oxymoronic trait that sometimes accompanies shows. It could have been better if it focused more on the two main character's backstories and career pursuits. Where it concerned Ae-ra, the show told a good story about class inequality and meritocracy, about the difference of an empty CV and one built on scrapping to survive. Ae-ra's plight told the modern story of the financial constraints on ambition, on how the need to financially survive outweighed career pursuits. This arc was ultimately a satisfying one, but could have been so much more.

I'm less convinced by how Sul-He and Joongman's relationship unfolded. I don't agree with the way it ended, or at least I usually wouldn't have. Not respecting your partner should come with a price. And yet, the authenticity of the dialogues and the sincerity of the acting convinced me that it wasn't so bad. Again, the show was really good at that.

I'm giving this show a low 8.5 because I think it was ultimately a very enjoyable show but it was derailed by messy storylines built for conflicts and progression of arcs.

So funny , So sute <3 , Great Character Developments , Great Story Arc, Well-defined side characters, what more do you want from a Drama, It's too good, Definitely one of my Top 5 Dramas of all time.
Honestly, out of all the dramas I've watched, in this one I've never have thought of skipping a few seconds in any of the episodes, It was so smooth and so fun to watch each and every episode. That was only possible for the great script and the Fantastic Actors.
Kim jiWon was soooo cute and great acting , I loved her the best. Her iconic aegyo moments were too much to handle in just one go, I was watching her doing those aegyos in repeat don't know how many times :p . She's the best.
Don't think too much, If you love cute and funny drama just go for it.!

Before watching this series, I was highly sceptical about it - purely as I am a former cage fighter and from watching the trailer, this show looked like it could have been a total cringe fest. I'm glad that I was completely wrong - "Fight for my Way" is an underrated masterpiece that involves captivating stories, acting and production.
An easily watchable series that could be re-watched multiple times with the same amount of enthusiasm towards it. When it comes down to K-Dramas in the same genre, I believe this show should be talked about way more than it actually is. I had never even heard of this show before I started watching it, yet it's one of the greatest dramas I have watched.
Anyone will love this drama!

Loved this show. Great acting. Funny and romantic at the same time. I especially loved Ko Dong Man (Park Seo Joon) and Choi Ae Ra (Kim Ji Won) and their relationship throughout the story. Although my favorite character was Hwang Jang Ho (Kim Sung Oh): he added a bunch of laughs throughout the drama. Baek Seol Hee (Song Ha Yoon) and Kim Joo Man (Ahn Jae Hong) were not as interesting to me though. Overall, it was a funny and romantic show with a great story plot that I recommend to everyone.

The first thing that I did when I finished watching this brilliant drama was that I came here to give it 10 out of 10 points ! ! ! and it is not really naturally for me.

STORY - At first, when I read about the content, I thought that it was too banal, nothing interesting and unique.. BUT I was sooo wrong. It's realistic plot is EXACTLY what makes the story perfect, enjoyable, closer to you. It's not just typical romantic comedy, story made me think about the main point - that you have to "fight for your way".

Acting/Cast - Fantastic! Everybody has made such a great job. When you are worried about second leads as much as main leads, yeah, that says everything. I can't say which character was my favorite, there were sooo many, everyone was so unique in their own way.

Music - The songs are in my playlist !!! Every song fitted the series perfectly and made each episode more memorable and enjoyable.

Rewatch Value - 10/10.. There were so many funny moments that I wanted to rewatch today, I thought that I could skip some time in episodes, but I ended up with watching the whole episodes.

Of course, it's my own opinion, but, if you want to relax, enjoy, laugh, give this drama a chance. Hwaiting !

Well this is not one of those usual Korean dramas where male lead is chaebol . It shows the reality of every human being in their course of life. It was really nice to watch those actors acting as a normal people. It relates with the commoners and their struggles to reach their goals. This drama shows the bonding, friendship, love and huddles which they undergoes. By watching this show one can get motivation and this drama gives POSITIVE VIBES. I was first afraid it might end up with a sad ending but it was a perfect ending. This drama consists of action, comedy, ups and downs. Altogether it had all sorts of genres

Really funny and heartwarming story about losing yourself and what you want and at the same time trying to figure out who you are. The story was ok, some parts felt unfinished but the characters and the acting is really what kept me going back for more. I really enjoyed both couples and enjoyed that the lead female didn't turn into some wilted flower and kept her can do attitude and no BS attitude through the whole drama. Really good, nothing too soul shattering but definitely very enjoyable.

Above all else with this show: PARK SEO JOON. Wow I am in LOVE.

The story was sweet and I can see how it could be relatable, but personally did not find it relatable myself. I first heard about this drama after watching Because This Is My First Life —  while it has a similar style (slice of life, romance, and friendship), I found the issues less relevant to my life. Mainly, I know people in this world work in "third-rate jobs" and are forced to work instead of building their resume... but I am more comfortable in the world of top universities, tech jobs, elite VC, and looking to pay off a mortgage than the world of month-to-month rent. The discomfort is a testament to my privilege, and not a knock on the show at all. If anything, it made me more appreciative of all that I have in life. And I definitely admire these characters for pursuing their dreams.

I think the landlady plot was one of my favourites, and I definitely teared up as revelations related to this storyline got tied up. I also loved how the childhood flashbacks played a role in this story.

I wasn't a huge fan of the MMA fighting, but I did become invested in this. It's hard not to be when Tak Su is such a prick!

I was conflicted by the second leads' storyline. To me, the only satisfying conclusion for Seol Hee would've been to end up alone; and the only satisfying conclusion for Joo Man would've been to end up together. You can see how this led to some dissatisfaction in the end.

I also really hated all the unnecessary external folks interested in any of our four leads. Hye Ran, Moo Bin, Jang Kyung Goo, Ye-jin, and Chan-Ho... get away! I don't want to see any of you on my screen!

But above all else, the Dong man and Ae-ra storyline shone the brightest. So cute (even their friggen aegyo!)! I treasured their moments together, and I'm thankful that their time apart was short (vs. "will they / won't they?" type stories that only have them dating in the last 5 mins). I do think the ending was rushed for them —  the moment in the ring didn't explain how things were different, and I wish we had a callback to the "real gold" as well. As far as a love story goes, this one was cute. And one more thing... PARK SEO JOON, YOU HAVE MY HEART.

Generic kdrama with same character tropes done before

It's not a terrible kdrama, im sure people will like this. But veteran drama enjoyers will see all the things that I myself saw. Watched it with my friend, she liked it, and there are very cute moments. Im going to go into spoilers because some sh- really bothered me.

SUL-HEE DESERVED BETTER. I really thought he was going to be a sweet partner, especially based off the first couple episodes and then it nose-dived. Both myself and my friend wished they hadn't gotten back together, she stood up and was so strong to put herself first and not stay for that disrespect. I dont know who fucking wrote the story and plot / drama points but I hope I never watch another kdrama from you lol. Sounds so harsh but please some of us are so tired of this. Sul-hee you have our hearts, my favourite character in the whole show. (And thank the ML for telling his friend he did wrong and shouldn't have done that. You shouldn't stay friends with cheaters)

I did like the MMA / boxing point, and how valued the coach was and that relationship dynamic. Overall its the same things we've seen in dramas over and over, I really liked them living in more run-down rentals. Most of us can't afford homes so I appreciate drama's that show and keep to this. Landlady arc was different and added, it made me want to see more of the parents all together.

Overall a sub-par drama to me that I wouldn't rewatch. But my friend and I had a wonderful time watching and I did shed some tears because some father stuff hit close to home.

Funny and romantic!
