Morticia Addams is now killing demons!
I was about to give this drama a 7.5 score unfortunately the last 3 episodes made it a 7.This series is pretty enjoyable action drama.
A secret society has being fighting demon like creatures for centuries but now a new menace is on the horizon. Pretty simple and straightforward.
Nothing groundbreaking plot wise but the series has a good pace (and relative short episodes) which makes it enjoyable.
The characters have an interesting backstory and ark. The romance is there but is not overbearing.
Funny to say giving the fact that the series is based on a "fighting organization", but the actual action scenes are the greatest.
They are not cringe, on the other hand they are not mesmerizing as well. The camera tries to cut away many times to avoid showing the audience how the characters is moving.
Another point to make, but maybe this is just me, is that the explanation of how the creature are created or transformed in the show is muddy. I didn't quite grasped it. It gets more clear near the end but during the drama I was confused.
As I said before, until the last 3 episodes the drama was engaging and interesting but after the "big fight scenes", we get 2 episodes with characters rescuing others and the last 2 episodes add cliques...
The female leads loses her memories which is so clique.....
Other footnote is that the drama sometimes forgets characters and don't mention them until 10 episodes later..
If you are looking for something other than Rom coms this is a good show.
P.s. I loved the female lead and her Morticia Addams vibes.

frankly? ...boring
I don't why but I couldn't get into this drama. On paper there is everything: two passionate leads, a sad backstory, a trauma to resolve, some cheeky moments but in reality I didn't feel anything.
The plot revolves around 2 childhood friends that for some unknown reason to the viewer (until episode 3) are unable to connect again after years.
We follow these characters while they open up their hearts and let go of a painful past.. sounds good? On paper.. yes.
The male lead is obnoxious and the female lead is annoyingly stubborn , basicly a tsundere.
Even though the drama is filled with "heart breaking" moments I didn't feel anything for them.
The drama is full of flashbacks that interrupt the natural flow of the drama. 2 characters are in the middle of a conversation and the time goes back to the past to feed us some details to better understand what it is going on. I get that this style of story telling can be interesting but it was overused in this drama.
It is a constant back and forth, back and forth and at the end it became annoying.
The theme of the drama is "summer" because the protagonists used to meet only in this season because of circumstances but the talking about summer, seasons in general, stars is too much.
They keep repeating the same stuff over and over again.
Spoiler: the main actors plays 2 roles, 2 twin brothers and I must admit he did a pretty bad job. I like the actor but his portrait of the 2 twins was confusing. Is some scenes I was confused about who was who or maybe they did in purpose just to confuse the audience and make things more "dramatic".
The love story is typical of this kind of drama. Very surface level love between two childhood friends. I didn't feel a strong connection. The fact the actors didn't have much chemistry didn't help.
Mid drama I was more interested in the second couple.
The main leads were annoying , repetitive and boring even though they have interesting back stories but we don't explore them too much in depth.
I watched the last 2 episodes skipping here and there because I lost interest in the story.
This a standard drama and if you don't have anything on your watch list or don't care about "explosiveness" I think you might enjoy it.

don't waste your time.... there is no story here.
this summer I'm kind stucked in a BL loop so I'm giving this one a try.so far this show has been really boring.
male leader number 1 starts obsessing over a guy that helped him ONCE on a mountain and moves from literally across the country just to meet him and go to the same university.
he start admiring more and more this charismatic dude and follows him like a puppy. so far he doesn't have a personality and everything he thinks about is " what is this feeling I feel when I look at this guy and start thirsting over him... I'm really confuseeeeeed"😒.
on other other hand, the other ml has an undeniably charisma to him and start helping this hopeless puppy that really seems too dumb to be true.
sidenote: supporting characters are non existing.
I get that these episodes are really short but nothing of substance really happens. the before last episode was all about Helping a random child finding his way home... c'mon...
I'll finish this series but it don't think is going to get that much better.
UPDATE: I just realized this series ended. I was convinced this drama had 11 episodes not 10, so I'm a little bit surprised.
how did it go? .... emmmm. was this even a drama? was there a story? cause I definitely didn't see one.
these two establish a relationship over literally NOTHING. one is chill and carries marbles (still wondering why, that explanation sounded really dumb), the other one is in love with someone who shared a few nice words with him... shouldn't he be in love with half of his class then?
other characters are no existing. nothing really happens.
I don't see that much chemistry between the actors. they are individually good but they don't match each other's energy.
it's not worth watching. like at all.
save you some time.

a roller coaster..loved It!!
this drama is made up of 3 parts and each provides a specific vibe you can enjoy.at the very beginning I was laughing my ass off cause the drama was so cringe I couldn't take it seriously.
these 2 almost "step brothers" are separated during childhood and end up having different lives never really leaving each other's heart.
once grown up they reunite and find out their bond wasn't a "familiar" one but a sexy one.
the first episodes feel like a standard "step bro" porn video. I kid you not. they thirst over each other even thou the FL finds out the are not blood related literally at the airport on the way to meet her Step bro for the first time after years.
maybe it's just me but it was so cringe I laughed for episodes.
after this part we get into the core of the drama which has a more "fast and fury vibes".
if you were there for the first "f&f" movies you know what I'm talking about. neon lights, hot girls, illegal racing , the whole "family" spiel.. It was really enjoyable and a bit nostalgic.
the third part is a complete romantic drama.
we put aside the adrenaline and dive into grieve, love. suffering.
this drama has something for everyone.
this drama is super enjoyable up until the 20th episode. I get that they have to explain how things developed, what happened in those 5 years the protagonists were apart but it dragged for so long. I skipped like crazy. so many flashbacks, so many long scenes, they film the actors walking in the Sunshine for minutes at the time....
the best part of the show is the main male lead. man can this guy act. he was good and I mean...Gooooood
esther yu? I love her but I see her limits as an actress. so far I watched like 3 dramas with her as a main lead and she always ends playing the naive, clumsy, awkward girl. I don't know if she is being type casted or if this is her range.
please watch it and enjoy.

Man was I disappointed....
Let me start by saying that I was really anticipating this drama cause I love the main actors. They always do a great job but this drama was something else. This drama is such a cluster of cliche like from start to end. It was unbearable. Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching the same genre in different flavors but this drama was just bland.
The plot line is simple. Two kids meet when they are young, for some reason they separate and meet again when adult. They obviously dislike each other for past reason but end up together.
Fine. But there isn't much more to it. No drama, ridiculous conflicts, no emotions. You ve seen the same rom Com a million time but done better.
I skipped entire scene, for examples the ones with the grandma. She was such a part thin chacter it was unbelievable. Let me be evil cause my son died and I somehow hate my child nephew because of it.
The love story was also disappointing. I love me some enemy to lovers stuff but in episode 2 it was already clear he was already in love with her. No build up.
Reaching episode 12 was a struggle.
Don't recommend.

slow start... but it gets better
this drama started off really.... boring!I must admit that I was almost going to ditch it. the first 5,6 episode are sooooo boring but it gets better after.
the middle part was the most interesting. we get some adrenaline thanks to the whole kidnapping drama and we are able to follow the splitted life of Robin and go seo Jin.
I don't know how accurate the drama portraits the did sindrome but "drama wise" it was compelling and captivating. the main actor did a decent job at keeping the two characters separated from one another.
towards the end it gets pretty emotional. I cried during the last 2 episodes.
this drama is not extraordinary but if you don't have anything on your watch list, it is worth a watch.
downside: I didn't particularly like the main female protagonist. the actress was fine but nothing exceptional and the character didn't really have that much depth to it.
the main theme songs are pretty redundant.
if you like funny comedies that's definitely not one of them.

I don't get the high rating.
I was really excited to watch this drama. I heard many good things about it and the rating was super, but I was quickly disappointed.this drama is really boring! I skipped so many scenes I was almost tempted to leave the drama halfway into it.
we follow the main leader which is born super strong due to a curse. she tried all her life to help people without letting the world know about her powers.
it could be a good premise but the curse is almost never addressed, only briefly, there is no depth to it.
in the first episodes we get introduced to whom will be the main leader's romantic interest. at first the series tries to imply a "love triangle", but this plot line is abandoned shortly after. the "friend" never gets a real chance even though boon su has been "madly" In love with him for years. no trace of doubts, not for a second.
the president of the ainsoft is kind of a "quirky" character which sometimes Is endearing but many times appears as caricature. he is so over the top. I skipped so many scenes where he basically talks to himself about how sweet his girl is, how cute she acts, even though boon su does literally nothing.
the secondary characters lack in personalities. her best friend, which we know nothing about except that she's from Busan; her brother , which has no depth and a "out of the blue" relationship with another forgettable character.
the whole gangster plot lines was totally unnecessary and frankly boring.
the jokes were corny as hell.
the Indian monk.... I don't even know what to say about that...
the main point of the drama should be the kidnapping case... but that also falls flat. we never get a real motive. the culprit liked a play...and that's it? no backstory, no motives..
let's not forget the "video game" stuff. maybe once in the drama boon su plays a video game, but we are supposed to know that she LOVES games and has always dreamed of creating one...
I don't know why so many people liked it.
the actors are good but the story just isn't there.

a STUNNING... SOULLESS drama...
Initial observations 🗯️🗯️I don't know what but something in this drama is just not clicking for me.
I tried to watch it and reserve judgment but as I keep watching this feeling is just not going anywhere.
This drama is beautiful, there is no doubt about it. It's pretty clear they invested at lot of money and the only word I can think of is "STUNNING". Sets, makeup, costumes everything is gorgeous but something is missing. It feels hollow, devoided of any emotion.
I like the ml and FL. They are fantastic actors and the whole cast is on point. But to me it feels like watching a super model, visually stunning but without feeling any attraction to it.
PREMISE OF THE SHOW🗯️🗯️
The Queen of the spirit wordl is taking a break in the mortal realm. Out of luck she encounters a mortal general who possesses the key to her desires: he is able to exchange his human senses with the queen to let her experience the human way of living. Thanks to this pact they destiny intertwined.
RANT🗯️🗯️
I am going to list everything that made me go "meh".
∆ This spirit queen doesn't possess the "human senses"... Which is not true.
Sight? She can see.. she is just colorblind
Earing? She can hear perfectly fine, she is just deaf to music. (But plays music on battlefields for the dying)
At the beginning her reason to experience the human life looked silly. After a while we discover that she actually had a human mother which I guess can be linked to her desire to experience life like her. I don't know because I didn't make it that far.
∆ Talking about "mothers".. at the very beginning the drama introduces the queen as the only queen born directly as a spirit. Ok, to me that implies that she just "appeared" in the spirit world. Oh no.. later we find out that she had a human mother and a spirit dad I guess(?).
∆ Moving on to the ml. He is conceiving his identity. When his turn to explain his past comes, he says that he was born as Duan xi but later is kidnapped and another guy took his place. Ok... So... Then why are you still using your original name, everyone knows by that name and call the guy who was put in your place with a different name?
Maybe I am missing something or the subs were off.. but to me that whole thing is a mystery.
Unfortunately this drama is full of these "weird "things".
∆ Let's talk about the FL. To access the mortal world she has to "possess " a mortal body. When we are introduced to her she basically uses a body that looks like her exactly. Occasionally, the mortal body needs to rest but she is free to go around in her spirit form. Later in the drama we find out that she was actually possessing a body that looks nothing like her and she is now setting her free. Emm. What? Then why didn't the body you showed us before change its features everytime your spirit left it? I don't get it.
I am either too dumb or this drama is just confusing as fuck and not too well though out.
∆ Arthur Cheng is a mortal general who never experienced magic (as far as I know) but isn't a bit surprised when the FL reveals she is the queen of the spirit world. He is cool as it gets, even happy. Shouldn't you be at least.. surprised? A bit frightened?
∆the general is trained as a killer. He murdered countless people as part of his training but one day a random man tells him" hey, the weather looks nice today" and he leaves the assassin world because that conversation changed his mind😒
∆ the general is a skilled assassin but he is still a human, right? Wrong. Because he volunteers to infiltrate the enemy camp and fight hundreds of men alone. You can be skilled as much as you want but that was just ridiculous.
∆ plot armor: there is never a real sense of danger in this drama which leads to no stakes. You never worry about the protagonists because they will always win no matter the circumstances. The Queen loses her powers and is about to die? Don't worry, the general is around the corner.
Hundred of men are about to kill the general? Who cares. He can single handedly kill them all.
∆ romance: I think this is the weakest part of the drama. To be honest I never found them believable.
At the beginning dilraba is this cool , ruthless queen willing to torture and murder when necessary but when she meets this general she basically makes empty treats to him all the time without any consequences. I get that she later is willing to protect him but even when a "punishment" is expected she never follows through.
He on the other hand is the one being "threatened" but after 2 second starts talking about love.
That surprised me quite a bit. It felt out of place because they didn't quite built that romantic energy yet. It felt weird.
After that moment he is so enamoured with this woman that it becomes ridiculous.
Especially when they arrive in the spirit underworld he switches from cold general to an annoying puppy. He seems a totally different character and she feels like his mom.
I never felt the "tension" between them. She feels like an aunt and he looks like an energetic baby.
∆ the episodes in the underworld are so far the most boring ones. They basically spend the time measuring "dicks" because the right hand and the general both are in love with the queen.
∆ while we watch the "void" episodes , what we saw that far never gets mentioned. The emperor, the power struggle, the other generals, conflict with the enemy, the little brother (really sweet actor). They never get mentioned or shown.
That's all I gathered from episode 1 to 18.
I think I might be dropping this drama because even though I am fine suspending my "disbelief", when stuff doesn't make sense with an internal logic , I just cannot enjoy it.

Cute....but not as good as I expected ?
I was excited about this show. The premise of two parallel plot lines, one in a simulation game and one in the real world, was really compelling but unfortunately that wasn't actually in the show.
The simulation game plays little to no role in the plot lines, it is just a device to make our leads meet. There is no actual plot line that takes place in this fake world.
The same "simulation world" is pretty much no existing. When the players enter the game they basically have to complete random missions which are basically the same everytime. I don't know how to explain but it is barely a mystery room. There are no complicated puzzles or intrigues to solve, it is just "go here, full stop".
Maybe I'm too critic about this part, but is obviously put there just to give the mail leads some screen time.
Moving on the actual plot is about a girl who wants to turn her life around and come back to her passion, architecture which she had to abandon due to familiar circumstances.
The main male lead is on a quest to clean his father name which was falsely accused of a crime 20 years prior.
The main story is interesting in and of itself but the execution is not the best. There are times when so many things are supposed to be happening plotwise but nothing is happening on the screen.
The middle part is especially boring.
The leads meet, they end up working together, they flirt and then we get super cute but undescribably boring couple moments.
Talking about this aspect of the drama it is really cute and heartwarming but not interesting. After the couple gets together we see a whole bunch of couple moment like having breakfast, smiling like idiots, bickering... I skipped a lot.
I love romance but I prefer slow burn drama because once the characters get together you get filler moments like these that drag out for too long.
Near the 3\4 marks conflict arises and the show gets back on track, but everything happens so fast you cannot really feel the struggle, the pathos. It feels rushes especially because the main conflict is somehow present in the first half but it becomes an afterthought.
The male lead is investigating his father false accusations from the very beginning but we get nothing until the very last quarter when he becomes "the punisher" all of a sudden...
Beside the main love story there isn't much else,
The other characters are there but are ignored.
The FL has a ton of colleagues which we know nothing about. Her best friend is there along the whole drama but her plot line was so boring and uninteresting I couldn't care less.
The best part of the drama is the soundtrack. Really cute and feels good.
It sound like I'm hating on this show but I'm not I promise. I just feel my expectations were disappointed.
This drama is fine if you enjoy cute couple and romantic scenes.
On this note I feel like the male lead had more chemistry with his female counterpart then viceversa.
They were cute together but I didn't feel the sparks.

awesome!
this Drama is funny, romantic, dramatic and full of Surprises. you'll never get bored. the plot Is interesting and even thou the trope "enemies to lovers" has been explored many times, this drama does a good job at not falling into kitsch cliches. the acting is really good and by the end of it you'll even start thinking "what..another plot twist?". the romance is on point and the actors make a good job. highly rewatchable. there is something for everyone to enjoy. the only point I was kind of disappointed is that there is not really a "hot" scene between the main leads, but that's nothing new in the k dramas.lots of real kisses thou. (not the usual still and stiff kisses you get in many dramas).

i deserved a medal for making until Ep 11.
I am hero for making it this far.Episode 11: I am giving up.
I ve being watching some cute dramas lately. I was looking for something light-hearted and along the way I found "when I fly towards you" and "hidden love". Then this drama appeared and I decided to give it a go.... Not a smart choice.
This drama is bad, boring and pointless.
Plot: girl moves into a new school and has to settle. That's basically it.
This is sold as a sort of "rivalry to lovers" but there is no rivalry here.
The ml is basically kind to the FL the entire time for absolut ni reason, even becoming a sort of simp; fl is an annoying asshole to the ml for no good reason just to then start liking him all of sudden, for , as I said before "no reason".
This drama is a good example of "tell don't show" because it is absolutely incapable of creating a good confrontation or a good story ark.
Talking about the characters.
FL: the most bland and at the same time annoying lead you could possibly have.
She has no personality at all, is dumm as a rock (but she is in an advance class..go figure.
The actress is no better. I get sad just looking at her expression. She doesn't even speak, she slurres! The script they gave her is so bad but she is not helping in any way.
Everyone around her talk about her being so kind, funny and Interesting. Are we looking at the same sad face here?
I only feel bad for her because she has insane parents
Talking about parents: her dad is sweet overall but back ups his wife which is a psycho. They are convinced their daughter cannot study science because she has a vagina.
Her mother especially blatantly favoures her son over her daughter.
Her dad is convinced his daughter should endure the mother behaviors because "she doesn't know how to act".
Excuse YOU sir, your wife is an adult bullying a teenager.
Ml: I like the actor form "hidden love" even though he is not as mature as an actor here as in other dramas.
His character is somehow the most normal guy even though he likes that leech of a FL for no reason.
He even says "I like you because you don't care about my grades".
I'm sorry boy, this girl a leech because she knows you have good grades. You are basically her tutor... She asks explanation at every given time... What are you talking about?🤣
Their friends: they are the highlight of the show.
Lively, bubbly, have funny Interactions and overall are of breeze of fresh air in this depressing forest of boredom.
The drama overall: they 90% of the time talk about sitting next to each other at school and science text.
The only reason I keep watching is because in the first episode we discover the FL did something "unforgivable" to the ml and I kinda wanna know what it is but the curiosity is not worth this suffering.

Absolutely loved it!!!
I didn't know what to expect cause "martial art" dramas are usually a hit or a miss, too silly or too serious but this one is a gem.I loved every minute of it and never got bored. The adrenaline is high until the last episode. Not getting filler episodes or endless flashbacks felt so refreshing.
The acting was good especially the main FL. The ml was a bit stiff but I think this was his choice regarding the character more than a lack of talent.
Music was funny, entertaing.
The story revolves around rong, a martial art prodige who get kidnapped and later saved by a misterious man. She manages to get back to her home but while kidnapped she lost her memory and hires this misterious man to help her out while gaining back her lost memories.
There is a twist because our protagonist is actually someone from our time but that doesn't impact on the story that much until the very last episodes.
This drama is the perfect mix if you are looking for action, a bit of comedy a cute love story and pure entertainment.
Definitely recommended.

dropped after 2 episode...
Dropped after 2 episodeI get that this kind of drama are expected to be silly but I really can't keep seeing the same cliche over and over.
Girl gets dumped by her boyfriend, guys is looking for a girl to show off to his parents in order to be left alone.
They start living together thanks to an offer from the real estate. A free rent house in exchange for some ig posts. Who wouldn't say yes?
But then we get to the weird part. They obviously sign a contract because this is a fake relationship. As expected the guy tried to sound cool and states "don't fall for me girl".
So far so good but then... The same night he starts kissing her and asking when they are going to have sex because even though this is a fake marriage, somehow he expects to have sex.
She is a bit reluctant but then agrees. This guy is a creep. She entered this relationship because quote"she is sick of love and doesn't want to suffer anymore" but ends up overthinking about this guy and if he can fall for her.
Of course she is the usual damsel in distress.
Not funny, not cute, doesn't make sense. Just skip it

this is ridiculous.
this drama makes no sense. we got two guys that are so madly in love they yell at each other because they don't know how to express their feelings.first male leader is a doormat. basically he doesn't care about being bullied. he has zero self estime and ends up "falling in love " (obsessing) over a guy for basically no reason.
he thinks this guy helped him out in some way but that's just in his mind.
then we have the cool kid. he's an asshole, a bear only capable of yelling. they basically develop a slave/master relationship.
there is zero development between these two but we are suppose to cheer for them?
they obsess over each other for years and end up together like magic.
I don't know. in the last episode I laughed my ass off cause it was just so cringe. the guy licking the other one finger was really weird🤣
no romantic scenes, no kissing.
if you are looking for that kind of stuff Feel free to skip this drama.
Totally not worth it.

it's good....but not excellent.
I was really curios about this show because honestly I really struggle in finding Interesting japanese dramas.this has (or had) a lot of potential but somehow it manages to be .....meh.
the story: interesting. a young man manages to evoke a yokai and to bond with her experiencing love for the first time.
the yokai though is on her mission to find the five families that contributed to segregate her fellow yokai and therefore kill them.
hachi, the protagonist really cares for Izzy (the yokai) but doesn't agree with her "methods" of freeing her friends.
that's basically the plot in a nutshell.
the acting is really good. the music, the photography are also enjoyable but what is really lacking in the script.
the funny moments are not really funny, the tense moments are not really tense. I get that this is a short series and developing characters and plots takes time but everything is too much superficial.
don't get me wrong it is still enjoyable but it feels liked a missed opportunity.
the last episode gives away the fact that the story is far from over and that a second season should be on the horizon but as for now , June 2024, nothing seemes to be confirmed.
give it a watch if you want something light.
