I don't know how I've managed to finish this....boring

the premise was interesting. I'm not new to this kind of plots. just recently I watched and loved "lovely runner", so watching a drama about traveling in time to save someone is nothing new.
the beginning was interesting, there were a few plot twist and the drama was running smoothly but at the very , even with more plot twist the drama was unbearably boring.
I took me a great deal of patience to finish it and I skip a lot..like a lot.
I'm still not sure whose is the target audience.
it looks like a drama catered to young children: clean language, no romantic scenes but then there is murder and blood..so.... I'm confused.
dumb choices in this drama are a must. police officers so dumb to let a murder suspect run away Twice, a boy than cannot overcome his smaller sister just just his physical strenght..so many things.
the romance was completely absent. what I mean by that is that there is a lot of taking and no showing almost.
the acting wasn't that fantastic especially for the main girl which was so boring and lacking in expressions.
at the end of the day is a "light" murder case with a sprinkle of romance and nothing more.
there is better stuff out there.

Boring

That's my first time ditching a drama 2 episodes from the very end.
The plot revolves around two childhood friends that reconnect in their adulthood.
The female lead is ashamed of how she became and when the male lead tries to meet her after years she asks a friend of hers to meet him instead lying about her true identity.
Our protagonist "undercover" starts working at the childhood friend office and tries to hide her true identity.
The "fake girl ends up catching feeling for the guy she is misleading and that creates some misunderstandings.
That's pretty much it.
Nothing new or innovative.
I don't get why Koreans are so obsessed by their childhood first love of when they were teenagers.
The main lead is an asshole towards our protagonist but she is madly in love with him. He ignores her colleague that loves her and is a much better fit for her.
He is the only highlight of the show.
The side stories are frankly boring.
Nothing particularly intriguing or romantic about this drama.

another DRAMA RUINED BY A BAD SECOND HALF.

Plot: 2 childhood friends discovering feeling for each other.

Observations🗯️🗯️

I fricking loved the first half of the drama. It was really sweet and Light-hearted. These kind of drama usually are more heavy on cuteness, but this one was also really funny.

The first episodes take place in highschool where we meet our ml and ml. They've been fraternal friends for whole their lives but at the end of highschool our little Didi starts seeing our jiejie under a different light.

This first half is really engaging because we experience their school life, friendship and private life.

There is definitely more stuff happening in the first half than in the later episodes.

We focus on our FL struggles with school and having dreams and on the ml past with his father.

Their friends are also an important part of their development.

Unfortunately once we leave highschool and enter university everything becomes flat.

The main focus is of course our ml pursuing his jiejie but when they get together, the drama declines drastically.

Nothing of substance happens and whatever is on screen is irrelevant.

The last 10 episodes are basically other people trying to get with our protagonists. Everyone is in love with them and this trope becomes tiring pretty quickly.

I know that this is a slice of life kind of shows but not even the characters are able to hold your attention.

Even though years have passed they all stay the same. They way they speak, act, not even their clothes change.

It was frankly Bizzare seeing them act so childish but at the same time talk about marriage, living together.

Even the kisses felt "childish" after 3 years of dating.

There is no saving grace In the second half. The characters they add are inconsequential.

The only main thing happening was the FL best friend falling in love. It was cute but not interesting enough to be honest.

To summarize:
Positives✅✅
Female lead. I know she always plays this kind of character but she does it damn well. She and her best friend relationship was super funny.

The first half of the drama. Perfect when you feel down and just want to see cute stuff.

Negatives❌
The ml acting. Boy was he bad.

The dubbing. It is often out of synch and weird in same moments.

The parents literally bullying a kid. When the FL invites a friend at home they are so rude to him because they fear he is going to "steal" their future daughter in law. Weird and frankly disgusting behavior.

Too corny. Talking about your kids wedding in their first years of college.. really?
The guy just graduated high school and is thinking about a family with her soon to be girlfriend.....

No characters development with very few exceptions. The only person I feel did grow up was the FL best friend.

Is it worth it? I think it depends on how much you can endure. If you are fine with corny stuff I think you'll be good watching this.

3 episode were enough...

let's me start by saying that I ve nothing against this genre. I watched plenty of coming of age/ love in highschool drama and they are usually cute and light-hearted.

this is no exception, but I just can't bring my self to watch the same stuff without something interesting to latch on.

frankly speaking I'm kind of tired of the "we met in kindergarten for 3 hours and I cannot forget you" trope.

what's so romantic about? I just don't get it.

the ml is probably 17, looking obsessed with a girl he meet eons ago. I get it. your life went downhill and she is probably a nice memory from the past, but his attachment to her right away give me the hick. she is different person now, times passed.

to be honest he creeped me out. If the soundtrack would have been different, he would have looked like a stalker to be honest.

the FL was definitely my favourite part. bubbly, outspoken and a bit stubborn.

her friends looked alright and not as paper thin as other characters in other dramas.

moving on there will probably be cute moments etc but I just didn't find anything to look forward in these 3 episodes.

THAT PERSON YOU'LL DIE FOR...

I have a very hard time reviewing movies because I'm a "series " girlie.
I like to explore a story, see characters development over time, so movies are a bit ostic to judge.

plot:
a boy and a girl , who met as kid, see each other again once adult. they fall in love but destiny is not always in our hands..or is it?

the plot is very simple and not that deep which means there isn't that much to talk about.

why do these candles work they they do? I don't know.
does it have something to do with his mother? we don't know.

that's what is good and bad about movies... you have to take everything at face value because there is no time to explore anything.

we speed run through their love story which is basically done in 2 minutes. I didn't feel a particular connection to them but overall we can still feel the love they have for each other.

there is no time to get attached to them as people so I just focused on something universal: the pain of losing your loved one.

you enjoy the movie not because of what is happening TO THEM but because of WHAT is happening to them.

you still feel the fear, the urgency , the worry and the pain even though, unlike other reviewers , I didn't end up crying.

I didn't quite like that the FL tried to contact the ml after her wish because that would basically break the pact you made with destiny.

I think it would have added more pathos If she just stopped looking for him.

the ending is happy because it seems that fate is letting them finally rekindle.

the acting was good overall, the tone of the movie felt right.

definitely an easy watch but don't expect nothing devastating.

almost dropped.. GLAD I DIDNT!!!!

Plot:🗯️
A journalist is trying to save her dying column in a magazine and takes part in a scheme to fool an idol into giving her an exclusive interview.
Unfortunately they end up switching bodies and have to survive in their respective lives.

Let me tell you, I was about to drop this drama after 5 episode but I am so glad I didn't.

First few minutes of the drama hook you with a scene of two people breaking up but then the following 5 episodes are really sloooooly setting the dynamics in motion and I was getting bored as hell.

Moving forward I wasn't expecting a body switch. I didn't read the synopsis of this drama😅., so the tone switch came pretty unaspected but it becomes a fundamental plot device.

After episode 5 the drama becomes really engaging and I finally felt entertained till the very end, till the literal last episode which is something extraordinary for me.

This is a nice rom com made of cute moments (fortunately not cringe, heartfelt emotions and a nice feeling overall.

Positives:
-The actors definitely grew on me. I didn't like them at first but they did a very good job throughout the drama, especially with the body switch. They were "believable". The ml was especially cute. The FL was also great.

-The actors have good chemistry.

-Finally 2 adults that behave accordingly to their age when it comes to romance. I am kinda of sick of 30 years acting like kids.

-Good till the last episode.

-I liked the ml emotional development especially with his mom.

-No dumm cliches like FL falling into the ml arms.

-No filler scenes.

- the ml having his menstrual cycle 😅😅

-Negatives
I feel they should have switched bodies a bit later after showing on screen their lives a bit more making us feel more connected to their lives.

-They state stuff and never follow through with it. For example The article about that married couple, the interview with the other member of the group etc...

When they switched bodies the Second time it's dragged for too long.
-too many flash backs.
-the drama doesn't do an excellent job at tydying up lose threats. Some parts where a bit wishy washy. The third member of the group is cute but irrelevant, we never see them interact as idols, I still don't know why the 2 members didn't get along...

-Too many "I feel we are in a drama" jokes.

-The second ml was useless (poor lao gaO always catching strays😅)

-The asteroid influencing the body switch was a bit meh as an excuse 😅

- the second part of the last episode. I wish that wasn't I thing.. I think I took away a bit of my good mood. (no spoilers🤫)

Conclusions:
Definitely recommend this one. It's a bit hard to get into it but if you endure for 5 episode you'll get love, tears and a nice time.

cute... but not thrilling.

plot: our FL is real life Pikachu. when her heartbeat reaches its peak she is able to "electrocute" people which then fall in love with the first person they see .
her best friend has her eyes on the school hunk and asks Pikachu to electrocute this guy for her but things turn out quite differently..

the drama🗯️🗯️
this is a classic school drama. we have cute and bubbly characters, school related activities and of course love entanglements.

I cannot say this is a bad drama but its not stellar. there is nothing particular about it except the FL superpower which sets everything in motion but is quite influencial when it comes to to plot. it s just a plot device to initially get closer the main leads.

characters are likable and behave realistically even though the resemble more high schoolers than college students.

I didn't dislike this drama but at episode 11 I realized there wasn't anything keeping me engaged especially thinking about the fact that I wasn't even half way through. 24 episodes look a bit much for such a simple drama and I personally don't feel that invested to keep watching for so long.

it's a light hearted drama good for times when you don't want to think too much and just watch cute predictable stuff.

characters: nothing much too say about them. considering the fact that this is a "simple " drama they are not characterised that much. just enough to get a jist of their personality.

FL is fine. her personality is a bit bland but that's always the case with "self inserted " dramas.
the only real complaint I have is for her hair and dresses. they did her dirty. she is dressed like a nun and her hair are a mess. why.. why do chinese dramas always mess their FL hair?

ml: he is cute. I remember him from "love between demon and fairy" and it was fun to see him as a young puppy.
his character is fine but I have to complain when it comes to certain behaviors. I hate when ml shovel the FL around like a doll even hurting them because "they are jealous". there is nothing romantic about a guy sticking you to a wall against your will. let's stop that ok?

conclusions:🗯️🗯️
if you are looking for something exciting that makes your heart race definitely skip this.

If you like cute, predictable dramas in a school setting this might be in your alley.

not thrilling but a solid drama!

Plot: a stoic lawyer has a reputation of being a workaholic but nobody knows that she has a secret: in her free time she is a super Fan of the boy band "gold Boyz".
When her bias gets framed for murder. Will she be able to put aside her inner fan to defend her idol?
Plot:🗯️
It is simple and I liked it.
I feel though They portrait the main conflict ambiguously. The FL is supposed to be a huge fan, but to me she didn't seem to struggle that much to put aside her more "emotional" fan side. She was very professional in her job.
The drama was quite good with putting together the pieces of the murder investigation. I am not a super smart person which means I was fooled be the direction of the drama into pointing at different suspects. I never doubted the "real culprit" to be honest 😅. I changed my mind many times. Calm me gullible i guess.

Characters:🗯️
FL: the actress is good but I found her character quite bland and to be frank I never bite into her "love" with the ml. I didn't feel the sparks. To me they seemed more like a teacher and a student.

ML: good actor, probably my favourite in the drama. He was a complex character and the actor was able to showcase his emotions in a believable way. When it comes to romance I think he has better chemistry with the FL than she has with him.

The other actors were all solid.

Romance:🗯️
Romance wise this drama is not the best to be honest. Sure the characters get close in a natural way but the flame wasn't there for me.
The scenes with them bonding were cute i m Not gonna lie but I feel they could have added more.

Best part:🗯️
This may sound weird but I feel like the best part of the drama were the characters "trauma dumping".
The drama did a good job at portraying broken people with past and present trauma. It felt healing in some way. Lack of trust and secrets are a heavy burden that the characters are able to unload and get past. Some moments were really touching.

they did a good job of showing hit parasocial relationship affect the fans and especially the idol involved.

Worst part:🗯️
The last 2 episode were for a lack of better words disappointing.
When the real culprit gets arrested I expected to see all the drama unrevealing but they never show us the trail or the after math. Immediately after the arrest the drama fast forward a whole year. Even the romance was a bit meh in these episodes. It's been a whole year and the lawyer still uses HONORIFICS to address her now boyfriend.
The FL in the drama puts aside her fan "love" to accept the singer as a real human and not just an idol but in the last episode she is back to her "fan" self. I didn't feel this was necessary maybe even a regression.

also the prosecutor guy. at first I thought he would be the love interest. going from former bully to lovers but I abandoned that idea quite quickly 😅. they could have done more with him, a real bickering , lawyer to lawyer relationship

Conclusions: is it worth it? Definitely yes. This drama is not trembles inducing but it's a solid story with interesting characters and backstories. Romance is there (even though it's not the main focuse).

Watch and enjoy.

a Little GEM in its genre!!

hear me out! we are specifically talking about short, light hearted not too deep dramas, and in this category, I think this drama is absolutely adorable.

plot: a city boy struggling with his direction In life goes back to the little village he used to visit during summer vacations. here he rekindles his friendship with a girl he used to be friends with and finds a new path in life.

plot is simple, straightforward and frankly well executed.

this drama is adorable in every way possible.

cast: the actors did a good job. the characters were endearing, funny and had enough of a personality to move the plot.
mention of honor goes to the FL. her character even though annoying at times, was really cute, moving and funny.
the uncle was personally my favourite. they had such good chemistry I loved seeing their interactions.

set: absolutely loved the atmosphere of a rural small town where everything has a different pace. people are close and care for each other.

drama: the plot was simple, well executed and I Neven struggled while watching. I know this is a short series but I never got bored, not even once.
I laughed so many times because some scenes are literally so cringe they become funny.

I have to mention the "Wi-Fi password song".
this is a little Easter egg that keeps popping up from time to time😅.

love story: don't expect anything crazy. this a very nice and pure series about teen Agers.
I really liked how they slow build up the relationship between the main leads. it's really sweet to watch. at the end we get a "kiss" as a reward for their struggles along the way. I think it was the right choice. this is a drama with delicate emotions not burning passion.

overall this drama is really good. we have a good atmosphere, funny moments, moving moments (oh yeah, we even cry a bit) and a cute love story.

I dropped so many dramas this month I was starting to lose hope but then this one appeared.

it's so short I think you won't missing out giving it a go.

mmmm... no thank you

i know this is a short series made of literally 4 minutes long episode therefore I didn't come in with many expectations but.... I found literally nothing.

plot: not even sure.
a 27 years old girl meets her former classmates at a dinner party and then thanks To a McGuffin goes back in time.
ti avoid constant time skips she has to stick to her classmate... and I guess they fall in love (didn't make to that point).

I watched roughly 15 episodes and frankly was really bored.

the characters are not interesting. I keep calling the female lead su zai zai because she is playing the same character as in "flying towards you".

funny thing, the male lead here looks exactly like the one in "flying towards you".🤣

this character is the same old one of these dramas: algid, focused on studies, quiet, unapproachable and with a tragic family background.

the story per se is so formulaic that I wanted to see a fresh approach at least when it comes to the characters but that didn't happened.

if you saw any teen age drama you basically saw this one.

there is nothing engaging here, not particularly funny moments or bickering.

I dropped it because at episode 15 asking myself " why are you even here?".

would I recommend it?
I don't think so. I don't even what is there to be recommended tbh.

strong start, awful middle, ridiculous end!

this drama has definitely a strong start: cute, nostalgic and light-hearted which to me, fades quite quickly.

we meet our FL and her 2 buddies. they navigate love, friendship and academic matters... or do they?

on the surface we should be witnessing a close group of friends who supports each other but that is far from the truth.
the only reason these 3 stick together is because of a shared love interest. the female lead has a supposed "best friend" which these 2 guys treat like a sub human for no good reason.

starting the drama I was rooting for the main guys but after seeing how the treat this port girl I couldn't root for them anymore.

later on this girl becomes cartonishly evil for no reason because they just want to make the main group shine.

the FL should be this caring girl but she absolutely unable to see how her 2 friends treat the "mean girl".
she is totally oblivious. her friend gets injured several times and they don't even ask how she is doing which is basic human decency.

the cherry on top is that the "mean girl" asks the FL is she has any feelings towards the main guy and the FL clearly says "no, he is just a friend to me exactly like you are".
but then , when the ml is throwing a birthday party, FL gets super mad at her friend for giving a present to the ml.
what? like anyone at that party she gave the guy a present, but FL gets mad only at her because she is supposedly making a move on someone she clearly stated she likes (unlike female lead which lies on her feelings).

after that part I couldn't care anymore for the main couple. FL is nice only when it doesn't inconvent her.

after this whole drama, the series transform the "evil girl" into a psycho for no reason except for making the other guy "the good ones". insane.

putting the main protagonist aside, this drama is incapable of creating a group dynamics. these classmates barely talk to one another but we are supposed to believe they ll stick together forever.. why?

the drama focuses excessively on the school theme it becomes pretty boring at the end.

the "romance" aspect is there but not there. we see the main couple clearly getting close to one another but until the last 4 episodes nothing happens between them.
if you are looking for interactions between a couple that is not the drama for you.

reaching the 3/4 mark this drama gets heavy all of a sudden. people get sick, people move abroad, people disappear...I feel they wanted to be dramatic so badly putting all their strength into a heavy storyline which will bring us into a "intense " end.
it didn't work for me.
there is barely any background of the characters discussed for the first 16 episode...

the ending: oh boy what a cliche.
many people approach the "let's meet after x amount of years" plot line but this was just embarrassing.

30 years old girl and you are still thinking about a guy you meet in high school which didn't contact you in 10 years??

how? how is this romantic? and the worst part is that he is being following her lurking in the shadows for years without ever telling her.
I get that is easier to lose contact with your friend who went to Germany, but this guy went to Shanghai..not the Moon.

at the end I feel these people only cared about each other and no one else.

I get that if you are 13 this can look amazing, but over the age of 13 I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

HOT GARBAGE (surprisingly entertaining though)

it didn't think I would make it so far. I am basically dropping this drama on the last episode just because my brain cells cannot take it anymore.

I have to be honest: the drama is a Trainwreck but the funny part is that somehow they manage to keep you entertained.

it is a very weird experience.

This show is called "only friends" but I think it's missing a key word.. "only shitty friends".

The story is about a group of "friends" and... Their hornyness I guess🤣

People fuck around like they drink water. It's sex scene after kiss scene after sex scene.
They are so casual about having sex with one another but funnily enough they instantly catch feeling for everyone.

If you are looking for sexy people getting down look no further because there isn't anything else tbh.

Every character in this drama feels like a copy. They all flirt in the same way, are sassy in the same way and use some cheese pick up lines.

They try so hard to include heavy themes like depression or drug addiction but fail miserably.
One character admits to cocaine use like he is talking about a new toothpaste.

On some level they are all toxic.

If you want some mind numbness this is good.
It's a shit show.

This drama is like your friends explaining some gossip about people you don't know. You basically don't care about them but you kinda wanna know how things evolve.

skip this, just watch "a river runs through it"

What should I say?
This is pretty formulaic drama: stuff happens, people are there, plot moves on but nothing is really resonating emotionally.

Plot: a pretty standard coming of age drama. Our protagonists are high schoolers facing normal high school problems and heading towards university.

There is nothing that really stands out on the contrary it feels pretty "robotic".

Cast: I cannot really say they terrible actors but they were handed a very bad script. Dialogues feel devoited of any emotion and the actors just they stand straight and deliver their lines.
Especially the music teacher is a good example of this robotic acting style.

My favourite ones are probably the main FL and her best friend. They feel like the most lively.

The "romance" aspect of the drama is really meh. We have 2 guys in love with the same girl but there is nothing there to talk about. Except for some gentle gesture there is not nothing romantic about it. Up until episode 12 at least nothing really happened between all of them.

Romantically? Nothing is happening.
Conflict wise? Nothing is happening.
School wise? Nothing is really happening.
There is no depth to anything.

If you are looking for something better definitely watch "a river runs through it".

This drama feels right for 13 years old. I feel they are the right audience.

finished in 3 days: addictive!!!

Let me tell you.. I finished this drama in 3 days. It was so addictive.

I love coming of age stories but it is really hard to find a good one.
Is this show perfect? Absolutely not.
Is it worth watching for 36 episodes? Absolutely yes.

Plot: we follow the lives of a bunch of teen Agers across high school, university and into adulthood.
The thing that makes this drama stand out is that it feels way more realistic than other ones especially when it comes to the romantic aspect of life.

If I have to make it short, the leit motiv of this drama is "you might be in love with someone but he is already in love with someone else, but ehy... Keep holding on".

All the characters are somewhat intertwined in some kind of "one sided love" and it feels so real.

The script gave each of them same personal battle. We experience love at first side, love that stems from friendship, betrayal, unsure love etc.. the whole umbrella. This gives you the chance to empatize with all the characters at some level.

Friendship is a solid presence throughout the drama. This people are always there for each other no matter their personal circumstances or contrasting feelings and that was so well done and sweet to watch.

Family dynamics are a part of the drama but don't play a huge roll. The are somewhat more relevant in the "high school" days but less present later on.

The characters are well written except for some secondary characters that are just there to be the occuring "room mate" or "university collegue".

The actors did all a fantastic job, especially the main duo. These guys just make you laugh, cry, sight.. wonderful.

The highlight of the show? Definitely lu suyi. This poor guy. You cannot not fall for him. He is the greenest flag you'll ever see. I felt his pain so many times. He never give up his love even when the odds where all against him.

The female lead was lovely. Often in this teenager drama they dumm down the female protagonist but here she is resilient, a good friend, has a strong will power and genuily funny without that "cute but dummy" stereotype. Sure, she is not academically gifted like 90% of this kind of characters but she makes up with other qualities.

I loved the fact that no guy in the main group is toxic or a tsundere. Really refreshing.

This drama is pretty long and some dynamics start to feel a bit repetitive at the end but to my surprise I didn't find any episode to be boring.
Sure I skipped some parts related to some couple but that was just me trying to find out about the main trio.

Complaints?

Expected maybe more high school episodes. They end pretty quickly.

The passing of time is not really done well.
It is hard sometimes to know how much time has passed. Even though their attention to details like the technology available at a certain given time.

University wise: they did very little study. Especially the main guy which is supposed to be a medical student.🤣
University life was pretty lacking. It seems like they were mainly hanging out with each other and focusing on their personal love story.

Adult episodes: they are literally 3. I would have liked to see more of how they adjusted to life outside of school. Sure they tell us what they were up to but it felt a bit lacking.

This is definitely worth to watch.

absolutely worth it.

watching this drama made me Patient. I usually watch already aired dramas but this time I had to endure the suffering... it was worth it.

plot: nothing groundbreaking. we saw this plot a million time. modern girl ends up as the character of a novel... and here comes the plot twist.. she in not the only one!

right here we have evidence that you can play with the same old trope but enrich it with some spice.

what should I say?

characters: absolutely adorable.
the main couple has a strong chemistry and their characters make sense. they are also funny and played by exceptional actors.

some honoble mentions: secondary characters were fantastic. I absolutely adored Mr bei the martial art master.

yong'er: girl I despised you as much as I liked you.

the mean prince: the actor did such an amazing job. you really end up hating him.

the cast was stellar overall.

soundtrack: loved it. already added some songs into my playlist.

complaints: I don't have strong ones but I feel something was missing plot wise.
I didn't read the novel so I am basing this analysis entirely on the drama.
some parts where not clear to me.

Yong'er: I don't know where she is from. when talking about their normal life the FL mentions Beijing and yong'er is clearly confused. I deduce she is not from "our world".
I saw some comments mention that she is actually from another book.. I don't know.

the crown prince: he should be the emperor son.. but the timelines don't ally. the drama used the same actor to indicate that the crown prince and the emperor look alike at the same age, but if the crown prince is also fifteen like Zhang San was, he cannot be his son.

Qiang state: we never see this rival state mentioned until the empress dowager dies. weird. tu' Er is the prince of another nation, why not bring the Qiang state into the picture. I don't know.

the final scene: I don't quite get if that was a "what if" scenario or if they really came back.

Zhang er: in the early episodes he mentioned that he was waiting for someone but that someone wasn't our FL. who was it then?

maybe I was too distracted.

overall this "plot holes" are not that important in order to enjoy the story.

the drama is a good mix of romance, comedy and political intrigue.

no filler episodes.
