an.....ok drama I guess..?

it's always hard to rate such short dramas.
they usually don't get very deep or intricated and this one wasn't an exception.

normal girl meets a goblin on a mission to become human. she agrees to protect him from an exorcist who's trying to kill this creature, meanwhile he pays her back by basically being a maid.

the plot line is simple and of course predictable but that's not an issue.

the fact is that with so little time you cannot really explore many things.
for example we totally forget this guy is a goblin because nothing makes him stand out. he teleports just once.. he doesn't have super strength nor other "monster "like qualities.

his mission is to kiss 10 different girls (why not also man) and extract human emotions from them in order to learn how to live as a human.

the mortal girl character is fine even though is quite hilarious that the "trauma" of his ex cheating on her has such a deep impact on her perception of other humans. I know other people in the drama show their worst colors but her friends are totally okay. so... I guess not all humanity is worth hating on..right?

the end is predictable .. of course...
but it wasn't that emotional.
I don't know .. I cannot say it is a bad drama, cause it's not.. but is not exceptional.

if you have some spare time maybe... but don't expect anything ground breaking

nothing to write home about...

this is a standard ROM com. really standard and by standard I mean predictable and Sometimes boring...

the plot per se wasn't that bad. naif girls ends up working for her former "crush", rediscovers her feeling for him but after rejection ends up developing feeling for the crush's brother.

I wish we saw more interactions between the three brother.

the whole Gangstar plot wanting to buy the restaurant was dumm.

the main love interest was insufferable. he was rude, treated her badly and spoke using monosyllables. even in the last episode he says three sentences...

it's still watchable without any high highs or low lows.

just meh.

loved it.

I absolutely loved this drama.
it is short, it doesn't go that deep into many things but still manages to deliver some heartfelt moment.

hyun Jin is a freshman who just moved to the big city for university.
the sonbae (sorry I'm bad with names) is about to graduate and struggles with different kind of issue.

they randomly meet in a restaurant and sparkles just start exploding between the two.
at first they are clearly attracted to each other but as we go on their connection deepens and they start relying more on each other.

what I liked about their relationship is that even though their relationship start by mere attraction they really end up being a good match. two people who understand and complemate each other. it doesn't feel like an insta love.

what I like about the drama is that they aren't over sexualized. yes we get some intimate scene between them but it is really nothing too invasive or extra. their moments are sweet and not too explicit. classy.

what I didn't liked is that the episodes end abruptly and we start the next one feeling that some moments are missing.
It felt a bit weird going through jump cuts even inside the same episode.

spoiler.

I really disliked when the drama suggested the other guy died. I was fine with him being dead but I disliked they way it was set. the characters clearly state he is dead but then suddenly they switch over "he is in Recovery".

the other characters are not that well flashed out but I still managed to hate his supposed best friend. man what a dick. and his ex girlfriend is such a bitch.

overall all it is an enjoyable drama that focuses on their "connection" and not so much on other things.

more or less a nothing burger.

I know I know.. only 8 episodes, 24 minutes each, what do you expect?
nothing exceptional of course, but at least something.

this drama is good with tricking you into believing something is happening when in actuality you are witnessing some rumors circulating around a school and nothing more.
there is really no depth to it.

our main protagonist is the blandest of them all. she finishes maybe 20 sentences in total, the rest of her dialogues are just "ehm...actually... you know... it's not like that".
I guess we should deduct that she is a struggling teenagers because ...I don't really know. her parents are divorced, her father is not really in the picture but we don't know if that's an issue.
her biggest problems are a lazy, hypocrite boyfriend and rumors at school.

she is such a passive person that her lack of communication becomes her biggest issue.
she doesn't talk, shit hits the fan, she becomes sad, the truth comes out, troubles arise.
and that happens over and over.

the only good quality I guess are her friends.
they are the best part of the show.

the issue I have is that this show takes itself so seriously... the cinematography, the music.
at the end we are supposed to feel to turmoil of these angsty Teenager who have been "suffering" so much all along... dude... you guys got together betraying someone.
basically the FL got together with her ex best friend boyfriend at the time.
that girl is right to be mad at you.. he is a guy but she was your best friend.. c'mon.

other dynamics are totally forgettable as well.
there is no drop to anything.
teen pregnancy risk, bullying, neglectful parents, dumb guys, anorexia... etc. nothing holds any weight.

at the very end the drama presents us with a twist ..he he he we got the audience.

not really. the plottwist was predictable.

spoiler.
the guy told the FL "I am struggling because someone close to me, that I like , is suffering".

It wasn't even juicy...

this drama is just teenagers going to school and occasionally not talking to each other because of drama.

good thing is the pacing is good.

what is this even about?

I didn't know anything about this drama or the fact that it was based off of a manga.

in the very beginning I though the black haired guy kissed the girl and put a spell on her to make her do what he wants regardless of her will power.
I quickly realized that wasn't the case.

the FL is a spineless girl without a personality.
she is caught in between of this power play between the two main guys.
they treat her like a toy: kiss her, boss her around, grab her hair without ever asking how she feels.i don't even know why they are supposed to like her except for her beauty.
it's incomprehensible.

she also hasn't a mind of her own but falls for one or the other according to what guy make a move on her in that moment.

yes I know, it s am adaptation of a shoujou but it lacks everything.

the only good thing i guess are the actors. they are all doing a good job.

dropped at 51/93 minutes mark.

I needed that

this movie is cheesy, cute and pleasant.
if you are taking a break from more serious dramas o heavy themes , this movie is perfect .

the plot is really simple. junior high schooler wants a boyfriend and after being so unlucky with her peers she falls in love with her math teacher.

she gives her everything to this man to make him fall for her but when the teacher childhood friend shows up, the FL understands that he has to take a different path to be happy.

the FL is hilarious and her character is often overplayed because she is playing a younger version of her self compared to the end of the movie.

the way she freaks out over every gesture of her sensei is so cute.

thanks to her dedication the teacher is able to understand his own desires and take control of his life.

there is nothing sexy or intriguing about their relationship. no kisses of gestures of affection.

this is just a cute fluffy comedy to warm your heart.

90 minutes of nothing...

I know I am not the target audience for this kind of movies but I watch them just to get some "comprehensible input " practice for japanese cause the dialogues tend to be really easy.

would I recommend this movie to anyone?
yes, probably my 13 old self.
this kind of supercial, cutesy movie would have been my shit at the age, but know as an adult I cannot overlook stuff...like acting or plot.

the story is really simple.
a girl confesses her love to a nerd who rejects her. heartbroken she talk about her struggle to the most popular guy at school and together decide to "play" a one sided love.

she basically starts a game where she stalks the popular guy for fun just to forget her previous love.

of course we all know he liked her all the way from the very beginnen and that slowly she LL fall eventually for him as well.

the plot is fine but tl what's annoying is that the movie is so mid. there is no highs ..never.
it is not particularly sweet, or funny, or cute or whatever.

the ml is also a big issue. his dead pan acting was so bad I kept laughing.
on the other hand the FL was marvelous.

would I recommend it? I mean.. this is literally a nothing burger. totally forgettable.
if you don't want have anything to watch and just want some white noise in the background give it a go

this was bad...really bad

Let's me start by saying I have nothing against teacher/student dramas. I ve watched several and some are really good ( for example tsuiraku jk to haijin kyoushi) but this was insane.

The FL is such a hateable characters. She literally has no back bone.
At the beginning of the story we meet this 26 years old girls which is basically a Nepo baby (she got her job as a teacher because of his dad influence) teaching in a high school without much success. Students disrespect her and peers ignore her.
She is a pushover when it comes to everyone. Her character is so passive without a real reason. We learn nothing about her to justify this kind of behavior. Her mother tries to stick up for her and her dad is the typical japanese salary man character from the 90's. It clearly shows this is a drama of that era and that's fine.

She is supposedly engaged to a seemingly "nice guys" that adores her but she is always reluctant when it comes to talking to him or being a normal girlfriend.
The ml did a good job at portraing an angsty Teenager. His character reflects how a 17 years old actually thinks or acts.

These two meet at school when the kid transfers and basically fall in love over the longing feeling for freedom.
I still don't get how this 26 years old cannot break free. Social norms or expectation are hard to disregard , I know, but when it comes to worst stuff like dating a minor she literally has no issue and even declares her love for a teen ager in front of the entire school.

When these two get together the "adult" should al least be concerned about being "caught in the act" or about this kid future who is literally willing to run away from family , school and entire future because of a woman.
But no.. not this girl... They literally have sex in the school library...and they fall asleep!!!!!

This woman doesn't think straigh. She is the most childish between the two. Doesn't understand consequences or that this guy is literally a minor with no prospectives giving up his future for her... And I still don't know why.
She Is also super obsessed by this kid.
I could go on and on about this character that that has literally no charm or interesting traits.

There is much more problematic stuff in this drama like the kids mother literally paying his private tutor to sleep with her son and make him forget about the other teacher.
Towards the end the drama also starts treating the mother like she is some kind of psycho in love with her child and jealous of other women ...

The mother was the only sensible person trying to act like and adult...at least until the end

The best friend, the ex fiancee... And many others are so toxic in this drama.
Some of the students also try to rape her and end up with zero consequences.
Plot twist: the teacher is pregnant! Come on... The 26 years old is having sex without protection with a 17 years old!!!
She is insane and I could go on and on.

to preserve your sanity don't watch it.

Half marvelous, half garbage!

I am mad. This drama made me mad... Well more disappointed than mad really.
First two episodes are GREATTT. They hook you immediately but...then something happens.

In the first 2 episodes we meet out villain/protagonist/love interest.
He's a disgrace to everyone around him, a menace to society cause 10 years before his reputation was tarnished and then he basically started acting crazy.
We all know that this is an act but the "act* it self disappears too quickly for me.
He literally stops pretending to be a mad man and apparently everyone around him knows he s never been like that.
I feel he could have kept this fake persona up for way longer.
The female protagonist is our heroine wronged by the ml and seeking revenge for her birth city burned to ground.
The plot is really interesting and you never get bored. The characters are all interesting and the fight scene are great..and that's coming from someone who doesn't really care about action.

Why I am disappointed then? Well. This drama is great in the first half than has an identity crisis and becomes fuming garbage. I've never fast forwarded/skipped to many episodes like in this case. I fast forwarded like ten episodes. Never happened before.
You can basically enjoy the first half of this drama, until you get to the "big battle" ( I don't want to spoiler to much) then ditch it. Trust me. That would have been much better.

The plot line becomes ridiculous.
The last salvable bit is the last episode but I mean... Knowing what I know now I'd still recommend you stop half way and consider that the end.

Should I still recommend it? Kinda yes.. Because the good part is really good. But it's up to your tolerance.

Really good but... But.. But..

Let me start by saying that I really liked this drama. It's really unsual to get a season 2 in Asian dramas but I assume it was all an entire season and they simply split it into 2 parts.

The story is really compelling. Fighting between personal issues, the right thing to do, selfish love, selfless love. We have it all but.. I have some issues.

Last talk about the drama it self. The first 10 episodes were boring as hell , you need to really be patience for the action to kick in. After episode 12 everything is way better.

This drama becomes really repetitive in some aspects. There is a lot of flashbacks, same talking point repeated over and over (like the childhood scene). I ended up skipping a lot... Like a lot.

The acting is great. The actors did a great job, female, male, bad good characters. Top notch.

The music is a bit repetitive but I ended up singing along. Overall I like it.

Some scene were a bit annoying. Near the end we get a scene where Xiao Yao kills her self. A lot of pathos but then we find out it was all an illusion. That s a no no for me.

My biggest issue with the drama is that I didn't really like the love interest. I kinda get why she likes him on a rational level. She always had a frantic life full of danger and suffering so choosing him makes sense because he is safe, sensitive and simple. I unfortunately never get the chemistry between them. Especially in the first season she treats him like a dog, a servent.
My personal favorite was Xian lian. Damn.. That demon make me cry. I'm fine with a guy not getting the girl but I'd have much rather preferred having more intimite scene between them. She was into him on some level but they never got the chance to live that love. He understood her struggles better than anyone else while jing was a safe choice, Xian liu was a more visceral one.
Thats the hill I'm dying on.

Overall I liked it. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you can glance over the romance not been "heart racing".

cute but childish

I really liked the story. an unlucky guy meets a very lucky guy and starts dating him in Order to get rid of his misfortune. along the way he realizes he's catching real feelings for the lucky guy.
this drama is really short, sweet and perfect if you are looking for something "light" between watching other dramas.
it is a really "safe" drama. I would have liked a little bit more skin ship. after fall the characters are college students not middle schoolers.
I'll tell you . you get a stiff first kiss and that's all.. really all
nothing complicated, a really sweet short story.
it is worth a smile😚

yes yes ..but also kind comme ci comme ca

this series started so well. the first episodes were funny, engaging and i was really excited to move to the next episode.
around episode 6 I started to feel a bit of fatigue. don't get me wrong , the fight scene are really awesome but at the very end , especially the last 2 episode, I started skipping a lot.
beside the main goal of the study group and the fight scene there is not really that much left.
I know it's only ten episodes but we don't really get that much depth around the protagonists. also the evil corporation sounds a bit cartoonish..
It was funny, but I would have liked a bit more development. especially around the main character.

frankly? boring.

this serie had potential. we meet our protagonist a perfect wife... who works as wife. our FL is a skilled professional "dater". single men in need of a wife hire her to impersonate the perfect couple.

everyone comes and goes but one man is sucked in our protagonist life.

and that's where our story begins... and where it ends.. it so so obvious that they LL end up together it is painfully to watch.
there was potential for a good triangle Story here. the second lead has a lot in common with our FL but no... that's a drama with no love drama.

I don't even know why she cares that much about a man who barely talked to her in 5 years. i get it if someone is being mysterious but he is just plain.
no offense to the actor who played his role perfectly. but I feel there is not really a reason for them to be together.. but maybe it is just me.

the main flaw is that the serie is too much predictable. I started skipping a lot after episode 12... the whole company drama wasn't really that interesting. it didn't hold any weight.

frankly, at the end it was just boring.. I wouldn't rewatc it

an absolutely lovely gem!!!!

boy did I like this drama.
it is very short so I managed to finish it in one session.
this drama is so so so so sweet and I cannot stop smiling after finishing it.

the story , which is very simple, revolves around min (let's call him that way, I am so bad with names) who is meeting a friend in a bar. they talk about the last novel his friend wrote and discuss about what is an happy ending and all things around the concept of happiness.

the friend ask min what he would do to find an happy ending and min gets magically thrown back to his teen ager years.

he meets Cha woo (let's pretend that's the real name), who is the protagonist of the friend's novel.
min's mission is to help Cha woo to find happiness and that's where the action starts.

spoiler: this drama is obviously mainly about love but also about loneliness, hope, desperation and many other themes. everything is handled lightly but not dismissingly.
it is a very sweet and enjoyable drama. you never get a Moment of boredom.

trust me a random stranger on the internet.
if you need to watch something heartwarming just give it a go, you won't regret it.

not a masterpiece but I was surprisingly hooked.

the main picture advertising this drama is misleading . the storyline in simple but it is not a "romantic comedy" as depicted.

there is a sort of romantic triangle ( not really) but is more on the tragic side than the comedic one.

the story revolves around the main fl whose is engaged to a police officer.
they both share a common friend which has always being in love with the main protagonist.

the police officers loses his life but his heart gets transplanted into the FL's boss.

the drama mainly revolve around the this "heart" and the wrongdoings big corporation are willing to commit in order to make money.

this series has not really big explosive moments but it manages to keep you entertained until the last single episode which is not a given for Korean dramas. they usually tend to fizzle off near to end but this was interesting enough.

the acting is good even though I personally didn't feel any "romantic connection" between the main actors. it looked like they were comfortable with each other bu no sparks detected.

overall is a good watch.
