i liked it very much but I wish I liked it more
hotel del Luna was on my watchlist for a while. finally I decided to give it a go reading the wonderful review and let me tell you, It was worth the watch.even though I liked it some things still bothered me.
first of all... del luna hotel. I know Italian and some Spanish... del Luna is definitely the wrong preposition. but this is just nitpicking for the sake of being annoying 😅
the story is really compelling. a bunch of resentful soul run a hotel helping other souls with their departures and unfinished businesses on earth.
the characters are pretty much all likeable, even the grim reaper who made me laugh out of the blue with his expressions. I don't know why. I just love him.
the staff member were initially marginal but got more flashed out towards the end. the last episodes I cried like a fountain.
unfortunately during the series they don't get that much depth. only the final episodes give us the real juice about them.
the main star is obviously IU. great performance and marvelous outfits even though I sometimes struggles identifying her angelic face with a 1300 old resentful soul. she looked too innocent.
the human manager was ok. I didn't dislike his character but I didn't love him. he was very Plain in my opinion.
i liked their initial relationship as manager and hotel owner/mentor but I didn't completely bite their love story. they didn't have THAT chemistry. they looked more like pals than lovers.
I think the love story, which we get literally crumbs of, was completely unnecessary to the plot and that's coming from someone who watches mainly romance.
the other characters were just there. especially the best friend Sanchez. we know nothing about him and then bam... he gets strucked by tragedy. i don't know.. they could hace done way more with him or others.
the manager mother story was also kinda meh. why bring her up anyway?
speaking on the drama itself I must say that the music choice was great.
the aesthetic was pleasant.
the only thing that annoyed me a bit were the long ass transitions. too many effects, camera changes etc.. a hug would last 1 minute. I skipped a lot.
end....
I was emotional but not gut wrenching as goblin. I compare the two because they have a similar Story/vibe
they both leave you with a somewhat open ending but goblin was just better.
this drama leaves you also with many questions.
why does the hotel need to disappears? do they have to build everything from ground? who will be the next owner?
if a resentful soul stays too long on earth the entire staff of the hotel should have become an evil spirit...
etc etc.
it is a good drama don't get me wrong but I wishing we got a bit more.

I was fooled by the good reviews.
as always, many reviews on this app are not trustworthy. maybe that's just me, but even if I personally like something I am able to tell if it's a good product on a fact basic.According to many reviews this is the BEST BL Drama of Korea.. let me tell .. it's not.
the storyline is pretty basic but I like this kind of "misunderstanding" drama.
young ml looses his job and tries to get it back by helping his ex employer find his son.
he starts getting closer to the son, feelings start growing until the man finds out he is just a tool to and end.
I'm not mad at that.. but this drama is really boring. nothing of substance really happens. there is a lot of staring, and lot of basic dialogues. there isn't a real reason for these two to fall in love that quickly.
second couple was also a disappointment. I feel there was much potential there. the conflict between your own feelings and the betrayal you think your adopted family would feel.. acceptance of your own desire, but we get nothing in the end.
the jealous ex plot was also weird.
if you are looking for butterflies that's not the drama for you. I felt no chemistry between the actors. they exchange some stiff hugs and kiss like this is a drama from early 2010.
is it worth it? I'd say no. but if you are into a dragging insta love look no further.

if you are single... don't watch it ?
let me start by saying that if you are single and you wished otherwise, this drama will make you cry.the male character is literally perfection as a boyfriend.
he is gentle, good looking, caring, understanding... you couldn't wish for more.
we follow the story of 2 friends who grew up together but then fall in love.
nobody around them is really welcoming because of different reasons like status or age gap etc.
our two leads though are meant to be and it shows. I won't go into much detail because there isn't really that much to say about this drama.
this a slice of life in everyway but the cuteness is undeniable and therefore bearable.
things I didn't like:
wrong music choices and overuse of the same songs
too frocking many rallenty scenes. I had to skip a lot ..
like A LOT!
at the end of the drama you realised 16 episodes weren't really necessary.
the female character.. oh my.. at the beginning I really liked her. she looked kind, a bit naive but still enjoyable.. let me tell you... in the last 5 episodes I hated her. she was so selfish, fake dumb, couldn't stand for what she wanted but made her life unnecessary difficult.
if we look at the love story which is obviously the main focus of the drama, she does nothing for this relationship. this really was infuriating while watching because it started as a very romantic relationship.
the female character doesn't really act with her partner 's feelings in mind. she carelessly makes a mess, she always gets saved by him and keeps lying to him.
unbearable.
in the end it is still really enjoyable and you LL find a new drama boyfriend for sure🤣

high Ratings....WHY?
Two adults Who had a love Story in their teenage years meet again and start tò Rikindle their relationship.I always have a hard time rooting for people who loved each other for 2 months when they were teenagers and never seem to forget that love even in their 30s.
the main leaders were good in their respective role but the senpai character war a bit unbearable. he had that kind of "I known you love me so I just treat you like a child" kind of attitudine.
the kouhai basically gives in immediately but still pretends to play hard to get.
their childhood story is not really explained and we gather some elements at the very end without exploring them that much.
I don't know.. I kind liked the "vibe" of the series but there is not really much to talk about. I feel like nothing really happens.

lovely drama!!
the gumiho trop is nothing new but this love story was really sweet, well portrait and funny.the main male lead is gumiho who has reached his 999th years of age. he has left just a year to become a human or he'd disappear from the earth.
the male female lead is a young history Student who accidentally bumps into our gumiho and shallows the gumiho marble, which he needs to gain energy.
they both agree to live together in order to take the marble out of her body and save her from death.
this forced living situation leads to a romantic relationship.
that's the basic premise of the story, but the real force of this drama is in the chemistry between the actors. the drama is full of sweet moment that really warm the heart. despite the "age gap" they are able to adjust to one another and grow together.
they are both likable in different ways. the gumiho may seem cold hearted but is really affectionate in his own way. he is charming and naive and the same time. the main female character is strong, unapologetic and isn't afraid to be her true self.
the side characters are nice and not shallow as they usually are. especially the other couple of this drama give us funny and sweet moments.
overall this is a story about overcoming struggles and give all our selves for the one we love.
the drama is full of romantic but also funny moments.
highly recommended

a waist of time
the drama starts with a good premise.the two main leads meet because of unfortunate circumstances and they agree to share a house and get married and make the best out 9f the situation.
the drama starts pretty well. the first episodes are engaging and we follow the leads around in their messy living situation.
it becomes pretty clear that they like each others but due to lingering feelings towards other people don't get a chance to live happily.
after 7 episodes the drama gets frankly really boring. nothing of substance ever happens. we basically watch them bickering over dumm stuff and cleaning the house for hours.
the characters are childish and frustrating. they constantly yell at other and say dumm stuff because o their own ego.
at a certain point they decide to break up the marriage and part ways but I still don't know why exactly.
the drama drags out for another 9 episode where basically the same old dynamics take place. they fight, they yell, they hold grudge, they clean the house and so on so forth.
I kept watching just to see how the writers will wrap things up... let me tell you, you LL have to wait until the second part of the last episode to see them getting together.
tis should be light ROM com, but the ROM part is nowhere to found. in 15episodes we don't see a kiss not even a hug between any of the characters , not even the side ones.
you'll get to see a kiss an the last episode and that's it.
I am kin of disappointed because I heard good thing about it.
the actors aregoo thou and the music is fine, just. but repetitive.

Two Simps and a sociopath
this drama in infuriating in a good and in a bad way.it is really fascinating to see a drama full of only shitty people with few exceptions and in this sense. they made a great drama.
watching it is a frustrating experience which is comparable to what living with a real sociopath could feel like.
our protagonist is Bek ah Jin, a girl who needs to grow up quickly and learn how to defend her self from the adults in their life and try to survive in a cruel world.
in the first half of the drama you can kind of sympathize with her (to a certain degree) but in the second half you just want to see her dead.
how much can your sad story really justify your actions? apparently, for beh ah Jin, the answer is: EVERYTHING.
this is what living with a sociopath probably feels like: they are always the victim, you make them behave that way, it is all your fault. etc etc.
what is not clear from the dynamics explored in the drama is WHY her 2 Simps friends stick by her side.
manipulators are charming, they love bomb you , make you feel special and on the top of world to lure you in and then control you, but beh ah Jin doesn't have to do shit.
she treats her frienda like disposable tools form the very beginning and isnt shy about it.
you never see do anything for them, not even "bribing" her poor friend to keep him close.
nothing. she is always complaining that she is the victim or that and this, is all their fault bla bla bla.
Guilt tripping someone can only take you so far.. but these 2 are willing to die for her
. like .. literally.
they clearly know she is the crazy one commiting crimes left and right but still, they stick to her side pretending in your heads she is a poor lady who needs to be saved.. mainly from herself.
they all know in full details what she does , especially her best friend, but somhow, they still think there is a spark of humanity in this empty sheel of a human.
I liked that beh ah Jin , is not the perfect mastermind. media portray sociopaths and psychopaths like geniuses which is true in some cases, they have a high IQ, but not all manipulators are super intelligent, beh ah Jin being one of them.
she never knows when to stop, even when it clearly will backfire. she always exaggerate and gets in more trouble.
during the drama she keeps saying she just wants a normal life, but that's just another lie she feeds to everyone.
and let me add that without her minions she wouldn t have anything. she is unable to provide or defend herself. she is too dependent on these 2 Simps.. but they never get anything more then crumbs of her attentions.
even in the end, they literally sacrifice them selves to "save" her ass.
I still don't know if the ending is good or disappointing.
there is no justice in this world, that's basically the message throughout.
maybe she should have been the one to die at her pick, just like she always wanted.
let's talk about the drama before this becomes a beh ah Jin essay.
acting? good. the main female lead is pretty good and believable as a white canvas empty of emotions.
the best friend... I see him in many dramas and he always look the same.
the others actors were all pros and did an excellent job.
entertaining value? pretty good. it keeps you glued to the screen until the last second.
overall all if you like flawed characters and a good ( still very fictional) portrait of bad people , this is a good drama

the chemistry in this one is INSANE!!!
i saw many actors having good chemistry on screen but these two take the crown.I watched the anime some years ago and didn't remember all the details except for the fact that Jin was a little pervert🤣.
if you saw the anime as well don't worry the drama is not going to be so depraved.
in the anime akin literally gets raped by jin. in the drama their love story is so so so sweet. you cannot help falling in love along with them.
i love the fact that in Thai dramas they don't hold back when it comes to spicy scenes.
they were shot beautifully and you get their passion.
the only thing I didn't quite like is that except for the main characters the others are not flashed out. we don't get any side stories. only some "suggestions".
I feel 11 episodes were enough to insert additional stuff.
music eyes it was good.
I definitely recommend this one.

boring as hell.
I don't even know what this drama is all about or who is the target audience.we start with the totally unrealistic Story of 2 guys who grew up together because one of them got adopted.
first no sense: they have been living together for 10 years but they don't talk to each other, they don't have any kind of relationship, not even a hateful one.
one day the biological kid ends up in the same class as the adopted guy and witness some bullying towards his "brother". at first he ignores it and then suddenly helps the guy out.
all of a sudden we learn that he has been in love with his adopted brother for 10 years for literally no reason.
they end up together "for reasons" we don't know. then we move on to the graduation day. they end up in the same college and start living together as a couple. the drama here starts taking a "deeper" approach and add in more adult themes like jealousy, acceptance, divorced parents drama, unwanted kids..etc.
I don't know who should watch this. the dialogues and really childish, nothing really happens but then you get scenes with kissing, alcohol consumption.
I am confused.
feel free to skip this drama. it's not worth the watch At all.

in One word... BORING
I was expecting the usual sweet story between two highschooler who discover their love for each other but when the story Beginns they are already in love.on the very first episode they like each other soo much but the viewer doesn't get the time to grow affectionate to these characters.
the characters feels more or less like "humans" but the main two are just a caricature. this drama probably was originally a manga or an anime but even if that's the case....
the blond cold guy is really boring. we really know nothing about him. he acts so lifelessly..
the other one is very bubbly and way more likable.
the fall in love for apparently no reason and their story feels flat.
they never talk, they never spend time together.
I get this is a slice of life kind of thing, but nothing really happens..
i am just amazed they even got 8 episodes.
to sum it up... don't watch it. there's is better stuff out there.

I don't know how I've managed to finish this....boring
the premise was interesting. I'm not new to this kind of plots. just recently I watched and loved "lovely runner", so watching a drama about traveling in time to save someone is nothing new.the beginning was interesting, there were a few plot twist and the drama was running smoothly but at the very , even with more plot twist the drama was unbearably boring.
I took me a great deal of patience to finish it and I skip a lot..like a lot.
I'm still not sure whose is the target audience.
it looks like a drama catered to young children: clean language, no romantic scenes but then there is murder and blood..so.... I'm confused.
dumb choices in this drama are a must. police officers so dumb to let a murder suspect run away Twice, a boy than cannot overcome his smaller sister just just his physical strenght..so many things.
the romance was completely absent. what I mean by that is that there is a lot of taking and no showing almost.
the acting wasn't that fantastic especially for the main girl which was so boring and lacking in expressions.
at the end of the day is a "light" murder case with a sprinkle of romance and nothing more.
there is better stuff out there.

Boring
That's my first time ditching a drama 2 episodes from the very end.The plot revolves around two childhood friends that reconnect in their adulthood.
The female lead is ashamed of how she became and when the male lead tries to meet her after years she asks a friend of hers to meet him instead lying about her true identity.
Our protagonist "undercover" starts working at the childhood friend office and tries to hide her true identity.
The "fake girl ends up catching feeling for the guy she is misleading and that creates some misunderstandings.
That's pretty much it.
Nothing new or innovative.
I don't get why Koreans are so obsessed by their childhood first love of when they were teenagers.
The main lead is an asshole towards our protagonist but she is madly in love with him. He ignores her colleague that loves her and is a much better fit for her.
He is the only highlight of the show.
The side stories are frankly boring.
Nothing particularly intriguing or romantic about this drama.

an ok...ish drama?!
plot: a modern girl ends up as a secondary character in her favourite web series and steels the show.it took me 3 months to finish this drama cause it gets really boring at a certain point
the premise is nothing new but an enjoyable starting point.
our main protagonist is dissatisfied with her life and distracts her self by reading a famous web novel. one day out of the blue she wakes up as a secondary character in this "josen" era novel, but due to circumstances ends up stealing the show from the real protagonist of the novel which she was actually trying to help. this leads her to basically creating a new life for herself wishing to stay here forever.
the start is not groundbreaking but the first episodes are really enjoyable.
everyone thinks that she is not her usual self (of course she is from the future) and point out the strange things she does ... well this quickly disappears from the drama.
in a couple of episodes , the fact that the FL is from the future doesn play any role.
the mid point of the drama is where things start to drag on...
nothing really interesting happens which is the problem if this series.
we are supposed to believe that this the most trending drama on the internet but it's boring as hell.
the characters are frankly useless or really boring.
the main friend of the FL (the actual heroine of the original story) is supposed to be this twisted girl that show a sweet face to everyone but it's actually evil, but the script fails to show that.
the only character pointing this out is the "mean girl" character, but the show doesn't show any proofs until the very end.
the brother if the female lead which are supposed to be the comic relief are boring and inconsequential.. and incredibly not funny.
the characters all feel like a standardized version of their archetype. there is nothing special about them.
the main protagonist is also a question mark.
it is implied that her life is so miserable she relies on a web novel to feel something cause it makes her fells like she has "friends" (her real words), but when she arrives In this novel she becomes the light of the party, a very bubbly person.. it doesn't make much sense. she looked depressed, boring while being her real self but suddenly becomes a lively person.. I don't know..
she basically switches place with the heroin of the story. she goes into this fantasy world and the heroin comes into our world but we are never shown what happens to her. how she copes with living in a modern society etc.
this drama really feels "mid".nothing horrible but nothing exciting.

this show is a gem!!!
this show was a blast to watch. I laughed, I cried and enjoyed it till the last episodes. (don't skip the credits in episode 12😌).our protagonist is Yao, a young ex taekwondo athlet who ends up in trouble. after his injury he has to give up on his passion and ends up making some debt to a local mobster.
to pay his debt, he accept to cater to the mobster's brother who is currently in jail.
he "unlawfully" gets a job as a guard and has to juggle between his duties as a guard and his loyalty to the inmate.
through this journey we get to know the other workers of the jail and the inmates.
the main plot stays the same along the entire series but in every episode we explore more the personal lives of guards and inmates.
through their personal stories we learn to empathies with the guards and the inmates of course.
some of their stories are really touching and we see the person behind the inmate "clothes".
being a comedy drama, we laugh a lot. i don't know why but there is a weird obsession with fecal matter in this show🤣 they poop a lot..like..A LOT.
the length of the episodes and the show it self is really good. you never get bored.
the characters are all interesting and the acting is really good.
the ost is a banger. I usually skip the opening theme after the first episode, but I let play in this drama all the time.
definitely recommend if you are looking for a perfect mix of lighthearted, comedy and deep emotions.

enjoyable but... is this only season 1?
let me preface that I'm definitely not the target audience😁 nonetheless I gave this drama a try and it wasn't that bad.this is a teenage drama with a simple story but these 16 episodes were all enjoyable... except the last one I guess.
the story begins with Jay Jay, our heroin, moving into a new school and in the infamous "section e" full of troubled guy.
she is the only girl in the class and has to fight to gain the respect of her peers.
we follow Jay Jay while she endures bullying, mistreatment and lack of respect from her new classmats but Jay is a fighter and doesn't reject a challenge.
slowly she developes a friendship with all her classmates and becomes one of them.
I liked that in every episode we explore some personal issues of a singular student and we see Jay Jay grow closer to said person while helping them out.
this is basically the leit motiv of the series. it gives the classmates some deepth because usually is not easy to include such a big cast and give them a meaningful presence, but this series does a decent job about not leaving these guys as mere ghost in the background.
as usual, we get a love triangle...of sort.
the president of the class is set to take revenge on Jay's cousin and he is wanting to use his new classmate to do so. he wants to make Jay fall for him and then leave her to "hurt" her protective cousin.. okay.. kinda of a weird way to hurt someone.
along the whole series we explore Jay's family life which seems to be problematic but we never find out why and this is the biggest issue of the series.
many questions remain unanswered.
why is Jay Jay living with her aunt?
what happened between Jay and Aries?
who is Jay's brother?
why do they have to keep Jay away from her father?
why is Percy faking his death?
what happened to Jay and Cyrus?
why can't she remember her past?
why does she have PTSD when it comes to blood?
so many questions without and answer.
the script didn't have a good pace. we get bits and pieces every 5/ 6 episodes and they create a very confused puzzle. at the end we only get more questions.
the last episode was a rush mess.
Jay is getting married and no one tells her shit.
this girl is surrounded by bad people left and right. she should just leave at this point.
the love triangle wasn't a triangle. Yuri never had a chance even if they want to convince you otherwise making Jay stumble and never saying no.
the main guy.. an annoying prick.
Jay never gets to know about the "plan" and her classmates never tell her anything, even though they supposedly became close friends. no one has a little bit of remorse to just warn her about Kiefer.. or maybe they all know he is somewhat bluffing. still not sure.
the ending is an open one.
she is supposed to get married but she kisses Kiefer and then.. cut.
I guess there will be a second season.
even the other cast members disappear. Freya.. where did Freya go?
it's a mess but it is still enjoyable.
p.s. the main guy is the worst actor on the screen😁😁
