I don't know how I've managed to finish this....boring

the premise was interesting. I'm not new to this kind of plots. just recently I watched and loved "lovely runner", so watching a drama about traveling in time to save someone is nothing new.
the beginning was interesting, there were a few plot twist and the drama was running smoothly but at the very , even with more plot twist the drama was unbearably boring.
I took me a great deal of patience to finish it and I skip a lot..like a lot.
I'm still not sure whose is the target audience.
it looks like a drama catered to young children: clean language, no romantic scenes but then there is murder and blood..so.... I'm confused.
dumb choices in this drama are a must. police officers so dumb to let a murder suspect run away Twice, a boy than cannot overcome his smaller sister just just his physical strenght..so many things.
the romance was completely absent. what I mean by that is that there is a lot of taking and no showing almost.
the acting wasn't that fantastic especially for the main girl which was so boring and lacking in expressions.
at the end of the day is a "light" murder case with a sprinkle of romance and nothing more.
there is better stuff out there.

Boring

That's my first time ditching a drama 2 episodes from the very end.
The plot revolves around two childhood friends that reconnect in their adulthood.
The female lead is ashamed of how she became and when the male lead tries to meet her after years she asks a friend of hers to meet him instead lying about her true identity.
Our protagonist "undercover" starts working at the childhood friend office and tries to hide her true identity.
The "fake girl ends up catching feeling for the guy she is misleading and that creates some misunderstandings.
That's pretty much it.
Nothing new or innovative.
I don't get why Koreans are so obsessed by their childhood first love of when they were teenagers.
The main lead is an asshole towards our protagonist but she is madly in love with him. He ignores her colleague that loves her and is a much better fit for her.
He is the only highlight of the show.
The side stories are frankly boring.
Nothing particularly intriguing or romantic about this drama.

dropped at episode 4

I know I dropped this pretty early, but in this 3 episode you get to see what will unfold in the future.

this kind of drama is predictable but that's not an issue. I love this kind of shows but "how" you do them is always important.

I am still traumatized after "love kiss in tokyo" and I knew this was a similar show, but at least in the Japanese drama, things happen, the characters are unlikeble but entertaining.

the two main characters are so boring. the female lead is too much " in your face" with her love and the male lead is just a black page.

I like assholes in dramas, at least they have a personaly. in this drama we don't even know why she likes him so much. I know that when you are young a pretty face can do magic, but this guy is so bland.

as usual the secondary characters are the best part. I liked the other characters better than the lead couple.

it is also clear that is going to be a perfect case of "second male syndrome".
this guy is so cute, nice, sincere...

slow burn is one thing... nothing happening is another.

I don't feel wasting my time for 2 not intertaining characters.

dropped at episode 27

I was excited about this drama. I meet these actor for the first time in "love game in Easter Land" and I was anticipating seeing them in a modern "set".
This drama started really well. I was looking for something light hearted and funny and I wasnt disappointed until about half way through.

The gimmicks between the characters start to get repetitive, and the cliche are numerous.
The 2 main character are basically in their late 20's but they are so childish. Sure, 2 conventionally attractive people never had a crush... Sure sure.
I know this is light-hearted but it's a pretty unrealistic drama.
This unknown girls starts working as an editor and everything goes so smoothly she lands contract after contract.
The "forced roommate" is a well known trope but why is she supposed to live with a stranger even after she gains some money? No pride girl?
Even after the main conflict arises, she basically forgives him after a week. Girl, you said it yourself, he manipulated you, lied to you and after hearing 2 sweet words you are alright back. He basically drags her into his house against her will.

Speaking about the second couple... They had good moments and bad moments. At episode 26 we don't really know what happened in their past. The editor is really annoying and ready to do anything to save her ass at work. I get she is stuck between a rock and a hard place but she always prioritizes her work even after being so obsessed with the same guy she betrayed. I don't know . Should we root for them or not?

The drama starts with more underlying plot lines that basically disappear after episode one. We are introduced too a nepo baby which is supposed to be a rival to main protagonist... It went nowhere.
The Direcror is supposed to be "scheming" to grab power in the publishing company.... He does very little to get anywhere..
And can we please stop creating "tension" by merely making the FL literally fall into the ml arms... It's not romantic, it's poor writing and this drama overuses this trope.
A Xiang..poor girl. The FL best friend has no plot line at all. She is basically a mail man delivering news to the FL.
Episode 27: I am dropping it. It just too boring.

the FL wouldn't basically go anywhere in life without her boyfriend saying her ass.

I would recommend this drama if you are looking for something not too demanding or full of fluff.

waste of time.

I have nothing against cliche drama unless they are made poorly.

these stories are not groundbreaking but the audience still enjoy them because of their cuteness, romance and good feelings. this drama is void of everything.

the plot line is about a" Cinderella" taking part in a tv show in order to win a date with their favourite drama actor.

that's fine.. but there is nothing here to enjoy.
the script is ridiculous, the characters are so flat, it feels like a very uninspired movie.

there isn't really much to say.. it is a typical Cyrano the Bergerac story without much depth.

the only aspect I liked is the multicultural aspect. you hear Tagalog, English and Korean and as a language lover that's the only thing I really enjoyed.

if you are over 12 skip it

good drama...but a bit disappointed.

sure, im a pretty late to the party😅 but here we are.
i Ve heard a lor of good things abouts this drama for ages but never picked up. finally I decided to watch this incredible drama and..... I am a bit disappointed.
is it a good drama ? yeah. is it extraordinary ad people said? not really.

this show is basically split in two partsv the first one is more light hearted while the second one is where the real juice is.

the first half felt like one of those drama of the early 2000's. I felt like I was watching full house and not a drama from 2016.
it was so goofy and frankly badly put together.
I still don't know why they needed a sort of "reversed harem" to make this thing work.
the first half was so silly I was abouts to drop it.
everyone is in love with this girl for almost no reason and they all live like happy puppies.
we get some drama moments but they are completely ruined by the music choice.
you get people dying, suffering, crying and in the background they play a silly pop song abouts love confessions?
this ruined the pathos in many scenes.

the second half is frankly speaking the best part and the only interesting one.
I wished they just focused on this kind of storytelling. they should have made an historical drama all the way through.
the political intrigues, the love stories overlapping, betrayals etc were really interesting even though they felt a bit repetitive at times (I skipped some scenes I have to admit).

the Performance from the actors is amazing. they all played wonderfully especially in the emotional scenes. I cried at different points and fortunately no silly music was playing in the background.

overall it feels like a disjointed drama made of 2 parts that don't really feel coesive.

the fact the iu was from the future played a small role and the final scenes felt..meh.

is it worth watching? it depends.
can you stomach a boring first half?

an ok...ish drama?!

plot: a modern girl ends up as a secondary character in her favourite web series and steels the show.

it took me 3 months to finish this drama cause it gets really boring at a certain point
the premise is nothing new but an enjoyable starting point.

our main protagonist is dissatisfied with her life and distracts her self by reading a famous web novel. one day out of the blue she wakes up as a secondary character in this "josen" era novel, but due to circumstances ends up stealing the show from the real protagonist of the novel which she was actually trying to help. this leads her to basically creating a new life for herself wishing to stay here forever.

the start is not groundbreaking but the first episodes are really enjoyable.
everyone thinks that she is not her usual self (of course she is from the future) and point out the strange things she does ... well this quickly disappears from the drama.
in a couple of episodes , the fact that the FL is from the future doesn play any role.
the mid point of the drama is where things start to drag on...
nothing really interesting happens which is the problem if this series.
we are supposed to believe that this the most trending drama on the internet but it's boring as hell.
the characters are frankly useless or really boring.
the main friend of the FL (the actual heroine of the original story) is supposed to be this twisted girl that show a sweet face to everyone but it's actually evil, but the script fails to show that.
the only character pointing this out is the "mean girl" character, but the show doesn't show any proofs until the very end.

the brother if the female lead which are supposed to be the comic relief are boring and inconsequential.. and incredibly not funny.

the characters all feel like a standardized version of their archetype. there is nothing special about them.

the main protagonist is also a question mark.
it is implied that her life is so miserable she relies on a web novel to feel something cause it makes her fells like she has "friends" (her real words), but when she arrives In this novel she becomes the light of the party, a very bubbly person.. it doesn't make much sense. she looked depressed, boring while being her real self but suddenly becomes a lively person.. I don't know..

she basically switches place with the heroin of the story. she goes into this fantasy world and the heroin comes into our world but we are never shown what happens to her. how she copes with living in a modern society etc.

this drama really feels "mid".nothing horrible but nothing exciting.

this show is a gem!!!

this show was a blast to watch. I laughed, I cried and enjoyed it till the last episodes. (don't skip the credits in episode 12😌).

our protagonist is Yao, a young ex taekwondo athlet who ends up in trouble. after his injury he has to give up on his passion and ends up making some debt to a local mobster.

to pay his debt, he accept to cater to the mobster's brother who is currently in jail.
he "unlawfully" gets a job as a guard and has to juggle between his duties as a guard and his loyalty to the inmate.

through this journey we get to know the other workers of the jail and the inmates.

the main plot stays the same along the entire series but in every episode we explore more the personal lives of guards and inmates.

through their personal stories we learn to empathies with the guards and the inmates of course.

some of their stories are really touching and we see the person behind the inmate "clothes".

being a comedy drama, we laugh a lot. i don't know why but there is a weird obsession with fecal matter in this show🤣 they poop a lot..like..A LOT.

the length of the episodes and the show it self is really good. you never get bored.

the characters are all interesting and the acting is really good.

the ost is a banger. I usually skip the opening theme after the first episode, but I let play in this drama all the time.

definitely recommend if you are looking for a perfect mix of lighthearted, comedy and deep emotions.

enjoyable but... is this only season 1?

let me preface that I'm definitely not the target audience😁 nonetheless I gave this drama a try and it wasn't that bad.

this is a teenage drama with a simple story but these 16 episodes were all enjoyable... except the last one I guess.

the story begins with Jay Jay, our heroin, moving into a new school and in the infamous "section e" full of troubled guy.
she is the only girl in the class and has to fight to gain the respect of her peers.

we follow Jay Jay while she endures bullying, mistreatment and lack of respect from her new classmats but Jay is a fighter and doesn't reject a challenge.
slowly she developes a friendship with all her classmates and becomes one of them.

I liked that in every episode we explore some personal issues of a singular student and we see Jay Jay grow closer to said person while helping them out.

this is basically the leit motiv of the series. it gives the classmates some deepth because usually is not easy to include such a big cast and give them a meaningful presence, but this series does a decent job about not leaving these guys as mere ghost in the background.

as usual, we get a love triangle...of sort.
the president of the class is set to take revenge on Jay's cousin and he is wanting to use his new classmate to do so. he wants to make Jay fall for him and then leave her to "hurt" her protective cousin.. okay.. kinda of a weird way to hurt someone.

along the whole series we explore Jay's family life which seems to be problematic but we never find out why and this is the biggest issue of the series.
many questions remain unanswered.

why is Jay Jay living with her aunt?
what happened between Jay and Aries?
who is Jay's brother?
why do they have to keep Jay away from her father?
why is Percy faking his death?
what happened to Jay and Cyrus?
why can't she remember her past?
why does she have PTSD when it comes to blood?

so many questions without and answer.
the script didn't have a good pace. we get bits and pieces every 5/ 6 episodes and they create a very confused puzzle. at the end we only get more questions.

the last episode was a rush mess.
Jay is getting married and no one tells her shit.

this girl is surrounded by bad people left and right. she should just leave at this point.

the love triangle wasn't a triangle. Yuri never had a chance even if they want to convince you otherwise making Jay stumble and never saying no.

the main guy.. an annoying prick.
Jay never gets to know about the "plan" and her classmates never tell her anything, even though they supposedly became close friends. no one has a little bit of remorse to just warn her about Kiefer.. or maybe they all know he is somewhat bluffing. still not sure.

the ending is an open one.
she is supposed to get married but she kisses Kiefer and then.. cut.

I guess there will be a second season.

even the other cast members disappear. Freya.. where did Freya go?
it's a mess but it is still enjoyable.

p.s. the main guy is the worst actor on the screen😁😁

this show is a BANGERRRRRR

an I really needed something like this. I've been watching Mid drama for some weeks wishing to find something good and this show was exactly what I needed.

plot: our main protagonist is the adopted daughter of a wealthy family and has always been treated like shit by her family. she endured all the hardships but that's never enough. due to circumstances our girl gets into a case accident and dies....
wishing to get a second chance at life she goes back in time to exactly a year before and swear to get revenge against the ones who made her life miserable..
and then our drama really kicks in.

I'm not lying when I say that every single episode is thrilling and leaves you holding your breath. there are absolutely no filler episodes until the very end which is something not to take for granted.

the main female lead is amazing. a very passionate performance. the other actors were also good. the "evil" sister is so good you want to punch her in the face😅.
the only criticism I have is that the male lead felt a bit flat. performance wise and even script wise.
the step mother was also cartoonishly evil, over the top but it still works to keep you entertained.

at the end everybody get what they deserve, good or bad.

would I recommend it? a million time yes especially if you, like me, have a very bad luck finding good dramas.

light hearted and enterteining!

warning: this Is not a love story. if you are looking for something romantic that's not the drama for you but If something funny and light-hearted is what you are looking for, this is a good show to watch.

premise: a dying gaming company is on the verge of bankruptcy therefore a " crisis management" company is taking over.

the CEO is a strict guy with a 100 % rate of successfully saved companies and he is here to keep that percentage up.

everything in the drama revolves around the struggles of this failing companies and their competitors trying to ruin their comeback.

we also dive a bit into the personal life of the CEO and his struggle with his family and the gaming world.

let me tell you .. the best part of this drama is the CEO. he is so unintentionally funny that I chuckled more than once.
everything else is but ..meh. I personally didn't get to much affection towards the female lead or the "step brother".
even thou this is a 12 episodes drama, we don't really dive too deeply into any backstory or development of personal relationships.
the series remains pretty surface level.

talking specifically about the relationship between the main leads, I think this drama should have taken the "friends" route. during the episodes you don't really feel a strong "romantic" connection between the two. the get close but is this more in a "I understand where you are coming from " type of way.

the other characters are there but they don't really a significant role.

the drama is basically based on facing a new challenge in order to save this gaming company.

at the very end, like the actual last 20 minutes of the show, we see the CEO confessing his feelings and kissing the main lead.

I liked this drama don't get me wrong, I am just stating that romance is not the focus of this series.

other than that It is really enjoyable thanks to the CEO characters.

is a good chuckle.
😁

what the hell did I just watch?

what is this supposed to be? a psychological thriller? a dark room com ?
half of the time I didn't even know what the point was. very confusing...

the guy who was ignoring our FL suddenly starts liking her out of nowhere and then weird shit start a happening.
these two are entangled with some weird and violent people.
after they start dating (I don't even know why they like each other) weird shit starts happening: sexual violence, beating, internet drama.
it all seems to point at the fact that the ml isn't the perfect student he pretends to be but that he is some twisted villain.

his two "step siblings" are supposed to show us how the ml is actually a psycho but we never get to explore too much of it.

at the very end the movie completely changes his tune and becomi5 a rom com showing us how sweetly this guy was perusing our FL...

I am confused.

rather boring ...missed opportunity

the starting point of this movie wasn't so bad.
a "time machine" connecting 2 people in different time lines always intrigues me but I feel they could have add a lot more of drama.

this whole plot was basically the push the FL needed to confesses her feeling to her sunbae🤣.

spoilers

maybe my mind is twisted but at a certain point I though the ml was her actual father and by interfering she was dooming her own existence. maybe her mother was pregnant with the writer but then ended up with the other guy.
I also came up with the thought that the ml was gonna die and that the girl basically was a testament that he 'll never end up with his girlfriend regardless of his actions.

I know it's a movie but I wish they explored more.
I wouldn't recommend it even for "cheesiness" because is not worth it.

definitely entertaining

this was an easy watch. the 20 episodes didn't drag out for too long (even though I skipped all the scene when the actors look into the distance feeling tormented 😅).

the story is pretty basicv rich and annoying guy fells for a "common girl".
what I likes about the FL is that she is not a damsel in distress. she is a bad as woman working a dangerous job.
the ml lead is so annoying at the very beginning I just wished she kicked his ass and left him but he redeems himself at the and.

the cousin is my favourite character. he is the comic relief what also a well rounded character.

this drama is really interteining and enjoyable.

the ending is the only thing I think they dragged out for too long.
this series could have ended at the hospital scene or after they leave it but other than that.i really enjoyed.

boring and infuriating

Mind you.. I am at episode 14 and I'm already typing this review in my notes.

This drama started good. The story revolves around a girl who falls in love with a friend in highschool and spend years longing for him even though he is not in love with her.

I liked the initial concept because I wanted to see how they LL handle an unrequited love, but the more I watched the more I started to dislike it.

This girl stays " in love" with this guy for ten years... Ten years. You'd probably think they see each other as friends for ten years but no..oh no.. she falls in love with him when she is 18 and he immediately leaves to study abroad. They then meet again again like 5 years later for a week and then the disappears again.

The ml is insufferable. He is a jerk from the very beginning. Even in highschool he is the typical cold guy. Nobody can stand him and he is full of himself. Ten years later...he is still like that. A jerk, full of himself, a manipulator, selfish there is nothing likeable about him.

These 2 people are in love , because as every cliche drama, they end up together, but they don't know why.
At a certain point of the drama he is still trying to conquer her love while simultaneously admitting he knows nothing about her.
Why are you 2 together?

At some point I liked that the FL was trying to move on , once the jerk realized he loved her all along😒. The plot gives us the perfect guy: the CEO and then transforms him in some kind of stalker.

Half way through the drama the CEO and the ml basically cross any boundary and literally stalk this girl.

From episodes 8 this drama gets so repetitive you cannot avoid skipping big chunks. The same scenes repeat over and over again.

They screenwriter try to give us different prospective on what love is and how it works through the good times and the bad times but I feel they don't succeed especially with certain characters.

The "eonni" character was really something. Even though I get where she comes from emotionally she is just too much.
Ten 10 years of engagement and still treats her boyfriend like an asshole. He is basically a simp willing to accept everything from this girl. He doesn't have a gram of self-esteem.
I know that her situation stems from prejudice and literally discrimination that sometimes happens in Korean society but come on.. you ve been with this guy for ten years and he cannot even come to your house cause you're poorer than him? I still remember the scene when she bought him some nice shoes cause he didn't have any cash.. where was his posh family Back then?
I know that my "western mentality" might be at fault but come on... Leaving someone because of societal circumstances... I'll never get it.
She is too stubborn and while trying to protect him from her suffering she ends up hurting them both.

Episode 15: FL is delusional. In the first part of the drama I was on her side but now she is irrational. The two end up on different sides of the globe and she expects him to glue the phone to his head and call her every second even though he is working , they live in different time zones... I don't know what this girl wants...
She never voices her concerns but ends up always saying stuff like "oh you should known , you should have done that... Bla bla bla".

At this point I'm not even reviewing I'm just ranting . Sorry reader.. this drama is just too dumm.

The men in this drama are all suckers for their girlfriends. That's not a balanced relationship.

Conclusion: don't watch it. Don't waste as much time as I did. It's not worth it.There is nothing new nor exciting.
