i really liked it but... there are some issues.
I'm going to talk about some spoilers so read at your own risk.😁this is a common "secretary/ boss " love story but it has a really important twist..
due to an accident our boss loses the ability to recognize faces and it is forced to keep his secretary around (which he fired in the first episode) to help him out and succeed in his quest to become the next president of the company.
this a simple plot line but it really works!
the characters are lovable in their own way and we see them grow closer as the story progresses.
so.. what is the issue? my issue is that due to the boss illness the secretary takes advantage of him pretending to be an upper class girl who was supposed to meet our ml.
this happens "twice". the first time the audience is willing to forgives the main female lead because we can kinda understand where she is coming from. she grew up struggling and never had something nice to herself. ok fine. misunderstanding are a huge part of Rom coms..
when the real it girl finds out about what our protagonist is doing, she "forces" our secretary to keep up the lie because she herself is benefitting from the whole situation.
I understand her motice to a certain degree but we reach a point where it is uncomfortable to watch what this secretary is doing to her boss.
I felt so bad for him.
this guy is perfect in the surface: good job, about to be president, a rich family, Beauty but in reality this man is freaking lonely as hell.
his stepmother hates him (I don't get why) but forces him to become president (??), his uncle is trying to sabotage him from the inside of the company, he has no friends, his last secretary betrayed him in a vile way and he also cannot see faces anymore. I mean.. what else is coming? is meteor?
meanwhile our secretary is torn by this guild which is only projected to herself at this point. "will he hate me?". she wonders about if he is going to forgive her...
it was infuriating to watch.
he is a better person than me for sure.
moving on we find some issues with the drama itself. some plot lines are abandoned Mid drama.
for example : the bitchy secretary of the studio is coerced by her boss to find out some information from our main secretary... we never see or hear from her after that.
the secretary sister is supposed to be studying abroad even though she is hiding in Korea. for a good chunk of the show our female lead never even mentions her sister..
later on this sister starts bossing around the it girl.. and I cannot say why she accepts this behavior from a literal stranger.
talking about our it girl, honestly, she is my favourite character. very straightforward, confident, has a huge ego but is not pretentious.
unfortunately she falls in love with the ml best friend and let me tell you.. he has the same personality of a toaster. such a bland character... they are also missing chemistry. it was hard to imagine them as a couple.
talking about couples. can we please stop showing 30 something years old behaving like prudes and innocent kids when it comes to kissing, hugging or sex?
I know it's part of the Korean culture but this was too much.
it sounds like I am a hater but I swear i liked the show.😅 its just that after watching it you process the goods and the bads.
talking about the good stuff the plot twist revolving around the file, the president assault and the secret society was pretty well done.
for half of the drama we think something shady and bad is going on but then we find out that these people were "plotting" to defend the innocent and help the poor mistreated employees. I really like that part.
this is getting long so let's cut to the chase.
is it worth it? Yes.
is it funny? yes.
if you are looking for something entertaining give this drama a chance

this show is a BANGERRRRRR
an I really needed something like this. I've been watching Mid drama for some weeks wishing to find something good and this show was exactly what I needed.plot: our main protagonist is the adopted daughter of a wealthy family and has always been treated like shit by her family. she endured all the hardships but that's never enough. due to circumstances our girl gets into a case accident and dies....
wishing to get a second chance at life she goes back in time to exactly a year before and swear to get revenge against the ones who made her life miserable..
and then our drama really kicks in.
I'm not lying when I say that every single episode is thrilling and leaves you holding your breath. there are absolutely no filler episodes until the very end which is something not to take for granted.
the main female lead is amazing. a very passionate performance. the other actors were also good. the "evil" sister is so good you want to punch her in the face😅.
the only criticism I have is that the male lead felt a bit flat. performance wise and even script wise.
the step mother was also cartoonishly evil, over the top but it still works to keep you entertained.
at the end everybody get what they deserve, good or bad.
would I recommend it? a million time yes especially if you, like me, have a very bad luck finding good dramas.

light hearted and enterteining!
warning: this Is not a love story. if you are looking for something romantic that's not the drama for you but If something funny and light-hearted is what you are looking for, this is a good show to watch.premise: a dying gaming company is on the verge of bankruptcy therefore a " crisis management" company is taking over.
the CEO is a strict guy with a 100 % rate of successfully saved companies and he is here to keep that percentage up.
everything in the drama revolves around the struggles of this failing companies and their competitors trying to ruin their comeback.
we also dive a bit into the personal life of the CEO and his struggle with his family and the gaming world.
let me tell you .. the best part of this drama is the CEO. he is so unintentionally funny that I chuckled more than once.
everything else is but ..meh. I personally didn't get to much affection towards the female lead or the "step brother".
even thou this is a 12 episodes drama, we don't really dive too deeply into any backstory or development of personal relationships.
the series remains pretty surface level.
talking specifically about the relationship between the main leads, I think this drama should have taken the "friends" route. during the episodes you don't really feel a strong "romantic" connection between the two. the get close but is this more in a "I understand where you are coming from " type of way.
the other characters are there but they don't really a significant role.
the drama is basically based on facing a new challenge in order to save this gaming company.
at the very end, like the actual last 20 minutes of the show, we see the CEO confessing his feelings and kissing the main lead.
I liked this drama don't get me wrong, I am just stating that romance is not the focus of this series.
other than that It is really enjoyable thanks to the CEO characters.
is a good chuckle.

what the hell did I just watch?
what is this supposed to be? a psychological thriller? a dark room com ?half of the time I didn't even know what the point was. very confusing...
the guy who was ignoring our FL suddenly starts liking her out of nowhere and then weird shit start a happening.
these two are entangled with some weird and violent people.
after they start dating (I don't even know why they like each other) weird shit starts happening: sexual violence, beating, internet drama.
it all seems to point at the fact that the ml isn't the perfect student he pretends to be but that he is some twisted villain.
his two "step siblings" are supposed to show us how the ml is actually a psycho but we never get to explore too much of it.
at the very end the movie completely changes his tune and becomi5 a rom com showing us how sweetly this guy was perusing our FL...
I am confused.

rather boring ...missed opportunity
the starting point of this movie wasn't so bad.a "time machine" connecting 2 people in different time lines always intrigues me but I feel they could have add a lot more of drama.
this whole plot was basically the push the FL needed to confesses her feeling to her sunbae🤣.
spoilers
maybe my mind is twisted but at a certain point I though the ml was her actual father and by interfering she was dooming her own existence. maybe her mother was pregnant with the writer but then ended up with the other guy.
I also came up with the thought that the ml was gonna die and that the girl basically was a testament that he 'll never end up with his girlfriend regardless of his actions.
I know it's a movie but I wish they explored more.
I wouldn't recommend it even for "cheesiness" because is not worth it.

definitely entertaining
this was an easy watch. the 20 episodes didn't drag out for too long (even though I skipped all the scene when the actors look into the distance feeling tormented 😅).the story is pretty basicv rich and annoying guy fells for a "common girl".
what I likes about the FL is that she is not a damsel in distress. she is a bad as woman working a dangerous job.
the ml lead is so annoying at the very beginning I just wished she kicked his ass and left him but he redeems himself at the and.
the cousin is my favourite character. he is the comic relief what also a well rounded character.
this drama is really interteining and enjoyable.
the ending is the only thing I think they dragged out for too long.
this series could have ended at the hospital scene or after they leave it but other than that.i really enjoyed.

boring and infuriating
Mind you.. I am at episode 14 and I'm already typing this review in my notes.
This drama started good. The story revolves around a girl who falls in love with a friend in highschool and spend years longing for him even though he is not in love with her.
I liked the initial concept because I wanted to see how they LL handle an unrequited love, but the more I watched the more I started to dislike it.
This girl stays " in love" with this guy for ten years... Ten years. You'd probably think they see each other as friends for ten years but no..oh no.. she falls in love with him when she is 18 and he immediately leaves to study abroad. They then meet again again like 5 years later for a week and then the disappears again.
The ml is insufferable. He is a jerk from the very beginning. Even in highschool he is the typical cold guy. Nobody can stand him and he is full of himself. Ten years later...he is still like that. A jerk, full of himself, a manipulator, selfish there is nothing likeable about him.
These 2 people are in love , because as every cliche drama, they end up together, but they don't know why.
At a certain point of the drama he is still trying to conquer her love while simultaneously admitting he knows nothing about her.
Why are you 2 together?
At some point I liked that the FL was trying to move on , once the jerk realized he loved her all along😒. The plot gives us the perfect guy: the CEO and then transforms him in some kind of stalker.
Half way through the drama the CEO and the ml basically cross any boundary and literally stalk this girl.
From episodes 8 this drama gets so repetitive you cannot avoid skipping big chunks. The same scenes repeat over and over again.
They screenwriter try to give us different prospective on what love is and how it works through the good times and the bad times but I feel they don't succeed especially with certain characters.
The "eonni" character was really something. Even though I get where she comes from emotionally she is just too much.
Ten 10 years of engagement and still treats her boyfriend like an asshole. He is basically a simp willing to accept everything from this girl. He doesn't have a gram of self-esteem.
I know that her situation stems from prejudice and literally discrimination that sometimes happens in Korean society but come on.. you ve been with this guy for ten years and he cannot even come to your house cause you're poorer than him? I still remember the scene when she bought him some nice shoes cause he didn't have any cash.. where was his posh family Back then?
I know that my "western mentality" might be at fault but come on... Leaving someone because of societal circumstances... I'll never get it.
She is too stubborn and while trying to protect him from her suffering she ends up hurting them both.
Episode 15: FL is delusional. In the first part of the drama I was on her side but now she is irrational. The two end up on different sides of the globe and she expects him to glue the phone to his head and call her every second even though he is working , they live in different time zones... I don't know what this girl wants...
She never voices her concerns but ends up always saying stuff like "oh you should known , you should have done that... Bla bla bla".
At this point I'm not even reviewing I'm just ranting . Sorry reader.. this drama is just too dumm.
The men in this drama are all suckers for their girlfriends. That's not a balanced relationship.
Conclusion: don't watch it. Don't waste as much time as I did. It's not worth it.There is nothing new nor exciting.

an.....ok drama I guess..?
it's always hard to rate such short dramas.they usually don't get very deep or intricated and this one wasn't an exception.
normal girl meets a goblin on a mission to become human. she agrees to protect him from an exorcist who's trying to kill this creature, meanwhile he pays her back by basically being a maid.
the plot line is simple and of course predictable but that's not an issue.
the fact is that with so little time you cannot really explore many things.
for example we totally forget this guy is a goblin because nothing makes him stand out. he teleports just once.. he doesn't have super strength nor other "monster "like qualities.
his mission is to kiss 10 different girls (why not also man) and extract human emotions from them in order to learn how to live as a human.
the mortal girl character is fine even though is quite hilarious that the "trauma" of his ex cheating on her has such a deep impact on her perception of other humans. I know other people in the drama show their worst colors but her friends are totally okay. so... I guess not all humanity is worth hating on..right?
the end is predictable .. of course...
but it wasn't that emotional.
I don't know .. I cannot say it is a bad drama, cause it's not.. but is not exceptional.
if you have some spare time maybe... but don't expect anything ground breaking

nothing to write home about...
this is a standard ROM com. really standard and by standard I mean predictable and Sometimes boring...the plot per se wasn't that bad. naif girls ends up working for her former "crush", rediscovers her feeling for him but after rejection ends up developing feeling for the crush's brother.
I wish we saw more interactions between the three brother.
the whole Gangstar plot wanting to buy the restaurant was dumm.
the main love interest was insufferable. he was rude, treated her badly and spoke using monosyllables. even in the last episode he says three sentences...
it's still watchable without any high highs or low lows.
just meh.

loved it.
I absolutely loved this drama.it is short, it doesn't go that deep into many things but still manages to deliver some heartfelt moment.
hyun Jin is a freshman who just moved to the big city for university.
the sonbae (sorry I'm bad with names) is about to graduate and struggles with different kind of issue.
they randomly meet in a restaurant and sparkles just start exploding between the two.
at first they are clearly attracted to each other but as we go on their connection deepens and they start relying more on each other.
what I liked about their relationship is that even though their relationship start by mere attraction they really end up being a good match. two people who understand and complemate each other. it doesn't feel like an insta love.
what I like about the drama is that they aren't over sexualized. yes we get some intimate scene between them but it is really nothing too invasive or extra. their moments are sweet and not too explicit. classy.
what I didn't liked is that the episodes end abruptly and we start the next one feeling that some moments are missing.
It felt a bit weird going through jump cuts even inside the same episode.
spoiler.
I really disliked when the drama suggested the other guy died. I was fine with him being dead but I disliked they way it was set. the characters clearly state he is dead but then suddenly they switch over "he is in Recovery".
the other characters are not that well flashed out but I still managed to hate his supposed best friend. man what a dick. and his ex girlfriend is such a bitch.
overall all it is an enjoyable drama that focuses on their "connection" and not so much on other things.

more or less a nothing burger.
I know I know.. only 8 episodes, 24 minutes each, what do you expect?nothing exceptional of course, but at least something.
this drama is good with tricking you into believing something is happening when in actuality you are witnessing some rumors circulating around a school and nothing more.
there is really no depth to it.
our main protagonist is the blandest of them all. she finishes maybe 20 sentences in total, the rest of her dialogues are just "ehm...actually... you know... it's not like that".
I guess we should deduct that she is a struggling teenagers because ...I don't really know. her parents are divorced, her father is not really in the picture but we don't know if that's an issue.
her biggest problems are a lazy, hypocrite boyfriend and rumors at school.
she is such a passive person that her lack of communication becomes her biggest issue.
she doesn't talk, shit hits the fan, she becomes sad, the truth comes out, troubles arise.
and that happens over and over.
the only good quality I guess are her friends.
they are the best part of the show.
the issue I have is that this show takes itself so seriously... the cinematography, the music.
at the end we are supposed to feel to turmoil of these angsty Teenager who have been "suffering" so much all along... dude... you guys got together betraying someone.
basically the FL got together with her ex best friend boyfriend at the time.
that girl is right to be mad at you.. he is a guy but she was your best friend.. c'mon.
other dynamics are totally forgettable as well.
there is no drop to anything.
teen pregnancy risk, bullying, neglectful parents, dumb guys, anorexia... etc. nothing holds any weight.
at the very end the drama presents us with a twist ..he he he we got the audience.
not really. the plottwist was predictable.
spoiler.
the guy told the FL "I am struggling because someone close to me, that I like , is suffering".
It wasn't even juicy...
this drama is just teenagers going to school and occasionally not talking to each other because of drama.
good thing is the pacing is good.

what is this even about?
I didn't know anything about this drama or the fact that it was based off of a manga.in the very beginning I though the black haired guy kissed the girl and put a spell on her to make her do what he wants regardless of her will power.
I quickly realized that wasn't the case.
the FL is a spineless girl without a personality.
she is caught in between of this power play between the two main guys.
they treat her like a toy: kiss her, boss her around, grab her hair without ever asking how she feels.i don't even know why they are supposed to like her except for her beauty.
it's incomprehensible.
she also hasn't a mind of her own but falls for one or the other according to what guy make a move on her in that moment.
yes I know, it s am adaptation of a shoujou but it lacks everything.
the only good thing i guess are the actors. they are all doing a good job.
dropped at 51/93 minutes mark.

I needed that
this movie is cheesy, cute and pleasant.if you are taking a break from more serious dramas o heavy themes , this movie is perfect .
the plot is really simple. junior high schooler wants a boyfriend and after being so unlucky with her peers she falls in love with her math teacher.
she gives her everything to this man to make him fall for her but when the teacher childhood friend shows up, the FL understands that he has to take a different path to be happy.
the FL is hilarious and her character is often overplayed because she is playing a younger version of her self compared to the end of the movie.
the way she freaks out over every gesture of her sensei is so cute.
thanks to her dedication the teacher is able to understand his own desires and take control of his life.
there is nothing sexy or intriguing about their relationship. no kisses of gestures of affection.
this is just a cute fluffy comedy to warm your heart.

90 minutes of nothing...
I know I am not the target audience for this kind of movies but I watch them just to get some "comprehensible input " practice for japanese cause the dialogues tend to be really easy.would I recommend this movie to anyone?
yes, probably my 13 old self.
this kind of supercial, cutesy movie would have been my shit at the age, but know as an adult I cannot overlook stuff...like acting or plot.
the story is really simple.
a girl confesses her love to a nerd who rejects her. heartbroken she talk about her struggle to the most popular guy at school and together decide to "play" a one sided love.
she basically starts a game where she stalks the popular guy for fun just to forget her previous love.
of course we all know he liked her all the way from the very beginnen and that slowly she LL fall eventually for him as well.
the plot is fine but tl what's annoying is that the movie is so mid. there is no highs ..never.
it is not particularly sweet, or funny, or cute or whatever.
the ml is also a big issue. his dead pan acting was so bad I kept laughing.
on the other hand the FL was marvelous.
would I recommend it? I mean.. this is literally a nothing burger. totally forgettable.
if you don't want have anything to watch and just want some white noise in the background give it a go

really good movie but it didn't quite hit the mark for me.
if you saw that movie with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler you more or less know what we are talking about.a guy asks a girl out, set girl Is unable to form new memory and he tries hard to make her happy every single day.
spoiler alert
unlike the Adam Sandler one we don't get a cheesy happy ending.
the first complaint is that the reason why they start dating is idiotic. in order to save a friend (a friend we won't see any more) a guy ask a girl out without really feeling it just to please some bullies. I don't know what this is all about but it sounds really dumb.
from the very get go we know he is gonna die. the film spoils it for you when the FL while cleaning her room finds out an old note book.
some people don't mind to learn these kind of info beforehand but to me it kinda ruined it all a bit.
their love story is really sweet but in the movie we don't find much out about any of the characters except for the ml family background which is there for plot reasons like bonding with Izumi over literature interest or "correct" Maori s notebook.
It also took me some minutes to get accostumed to the couple cause I saw them in a different dramas where the ml was the FL gay best friend.🤣
that aside they have good chemistry.
even though I knew he was about to die somehow, his disappearence wasn't build up
in a good way. it was to sudden. we never see him suffer or struggling.
the best and emotional part is definitely the second part of the movie when they start "erasing" the ml for all the notebooks. that was really emotional to be honest.
as I said we don't get a cheesy happy ending but somehow taoru Kun manages to keep living in Maori s "muscle" memory and notes.
definitely an enjoyable movie. sad.. but not devasting cause they missed the climax I guess.
maybe it's just me.
