Rika Tadano, a former TV host, is running for local elections in Kyushu to take over her father’s political role. With the help of his attendants, she travels through the region, but her arrogant and unpleasant demeanor makes her unpopular. Yohei, a fisherman’s son, helps her campaign despite his own struggles. After a jealous outburst, Yohei beats his wife and leaves her to drown, then joins the group the next day. On their journey, Erika gets drenched in a fight with a voter, refuses to continue, and stays behind with Yohei.
