Pei Yuan has Fu Yao cornered and is about to eliminate her when Wu Ji comes and sustains the stab would from Fu Yao meant for Pei Yuan. He reasons that, given his personal grudge against Fu Yao, he will mete out her punishment, thus promptly leaving. He leaves her with Zhan Bei Ye to care for her and who works with her to save Xiao Qi and retrieve the bell. Under the guise of Yu Wen, Fu Yao enters Qi Zhen's palace, whilst Yun Hen is tasked with abducting the heir apparent.
