The story of both drama is happen during a mythological era with Ice , Fire, Flowers, Water etc. tribes . In both drama is a high posibility for you to fall in love with the villain. The love story between the main characters will give you goosebumps everytime. You will receive an uragan of emotions.

Both have a similar first half where a plant fairy, who does not understand what love is, makes a high ranked deity fall in love with herself. After that both series get more serious, but Ashes of Love gets a hundred times more serious and angst heavy, while Dear Herbal Lord stays quite light all the way through.

Valeu a pena assistir! Chorei, sorri, torci e passei nervoso assistindo as séries. O roteiro te mantém submerso na historia.

The similarity between the two, in my opinion, is the relationship and history between the two doramas' couples. Both have misunderstandings along their way in love. Relationships are not approved by the respective mothers of the male protagonists. After years apart the protagonists can no longer believe in their beloved because they feel betrayed thinking they have been abandoned, and although they still love them, they do everything to hurt them because the pain in their heart is too deep.
It was worth watching! I cried, smiled, cheered and spent nervousness watching the series. The script keeps you submerged in history.

Both are the only shows where it's interesting from the get go( I was hooked since episode 1 for both which is rare since even popular or hyped shows takes awhile)
Second male lead loves female lead but decides to go for power, however 8th prince is more genuine and likeable while night is more for himself.
Definitely try out both shows if you're into scheming and chemistry where it's oozing out like crazy.

Ashes of Love is an epic angsty romance. Romance of Hua Rong is a comedy romance. They have different settings, but both have a fantasy martial arts / magic world.
I recommend them because they have very similar relationship vibe. They have strong male leads and impulsive female leads. The male leads decide early on that they will only and ever love the female leads, while the female leads can't seem to figure out how they feel. In AoL, it's because of the unfeeling pill, while in HR, she's just dense. Both shows have FL who betray/hurt the ML deeply, but the ML don't waver in their affections even so.

If you became a fan of Yang Zi from Flourished Peony, I definitely recommend you watch one of her famous shows, Ashes of Love. Of course, the main lead is Yang Zi with two other men. EVERYTHING is amazing in Ashes of Love. The acting, the plot, the scenery, the ost, etc. Everyone's acting in that show was absolutely phenomenal especially Yang Zis. If you're a fan of Yang Zi and her acting skills, go try Ashes of Love.
