I'm writing this review only half way in to the series but I think I've seen enough to know what I like and don't like. This is a good show and I love Rain but I find that dramas featuring popular musicians are often overrated and judged more by love of the artist rather than the actual drama.(like, "A Love To Kill"-seriously overrated in my opinion). This drama however is actually pretty good. It's one flaw is repetitive antics that stop being funny or cute after the third time you see them. Like the back and forth name calling and then Ji Eun's 2 childhood friends really sickened me and I got so sick of them scheming for money and being blatantly disrespectful. What they do in the first episode is unforgivable and I don't think they were properly reprimanded for it. And I'm understanding of the fact that this is an old drama and I'm watching it in 2014 but the fashion is horribly tacky. Even in 2004 I don't think it was ok to have your bra hanging out like Hye Won. And it does take a bit too long for the leads to inevitably get together. Other than that it is a pretty good drama.

I love this drama. The acting is fantastic and I think I laughed out loud at least once during every episode. So glad I watched this. Just a feel good story!!! I wish there was more of it to watch...the way the main characters interact is just dynamic and really draws you in. I love a drama that makes me feel things and makes me care about the characters and this one does that in every episode!

One of my favorites of all time, this is the first drama I did not drop. It would've received a higher score if it weren't because some events were too repetitive, and you could say it was sort of eventless... the storyline was not full of twists and shocks, and it was not exactly amazing, but I really enjoyed it nevertheless. And Rain? I loved him so much in this. His character was too darn cute, and he is 50% of what kept me watching this and what makes me remember Full House so fondly. If I were to choose my favorite k-drama character... so far, he would be definitely first. He even beats Jang Keun Suk's character in You're Beautiful, whom I adored. The music... ah, the music. I did not get so annoyed with it as my friend did, but it was too repetitive. Honestly. To conclude, I recommend this to anyone! Light-hearted and cute, you simply have to watch this :)

I found this drama to be boring and dissatisfying. I really wanted to love it, but there was simply not enough character development to make up for the irritating behavior and unrealistic plot lines. I love a good unrealistic plot line, no doubt about it, but when the writers can't even come up with a plausible reason for heartbreak, it becomes really tedious to watch.

In short, the virtues of this show were Kim Sung Soo's beautiful face (playing Yoo Min Hyuk), Song Hye Kyo's adorableness (playing Han Ji Eun) and that amazing house they lived in. Faults? Just about everything else. The only reason I kept watching was in hope of a clever ending, a cute climax, something to make up for all the shouting and redundant plot devices. No such luck.

As Skye N Rain noted, it's really just good for passing a boring weekend with.

I was down for the goofy premise, but the plot is repetative to the point of making the whole thing feel dull. The story centered around verbal abuse, cleaning, and awkward conversations in restaurants. It's also hard for me to like shows where the leads don't have any real friends to support them; it's exhausting to watch them constantly surrounded by frenemies, love interests, or rivals.

I did like some of the actors, though.

I love Korean dramas and of the 46 I have watched to date this is the only one I didn't care for. It started out fine but quickly became an unbearable repetitive plot line involving more verbal and mental abuse of any show I've ever seen, K-drama or otherwise. I lost track of the bickering and insults hurled between the two leads show after show. Especially by Young Jae (Rain) toward the lovely leading lady Hye Kyo (Han Ji Hun). Not in the typical good natured K-drama way, but in a very bitter way. I've always been puzzled at the popularity of this drama given the depressing nature of the relationship portrayed here. Had to fight through to finish this and while the ending was satisfying still not sure it was worth enduring the hours of frustrating dialog.

I was never very interested in watching this drama, but as a Kdrama lover, I thought I should watch it because it is one of the most famous classics. Usually, when I don’t expect anything from a series, I like it more when I watch it, but in this case, I was still disappointed. At first it’s kind of funny, but after the first half it’s like you are always watching the same episode one time and another. It would have been better with only ten episodes.

I'll start backwards here. The end was good, sweet, I liked the last 5 minutes of it. Happy, happy, cute, cute. However, the story seemed to lack something important. It seemed to be hard to follow in that I wasn't sure what the actors were trying to say or convey. Oh and Ji Eun's "friends" I wanted to pull my hair out I hated them so much. Am I being a bit to harsh? It was also so back and forth I could hardly stand it, I wanted to scream. I hate feeling like that at all. I know sometimes it might be unavoidable in a drama but if I watch 16 episodes of something and I feel that way through nearly all of them or some part of every episode I don't care how great it ends in that last 5 freakin minutes it was hardly worth watching. I totally skipped half epsisode 15 because I couldn't take it. Ah but the lead guy young jae was too cute with his little boy faces though I'd probably want to kill him in real life, he was totally cute though I wanted to beat him most of the series.

If you are in a mood to watch a complete love story (without any additional sub stories) and if you like haters-turned-lovers kinda story, then you have got the right one here.It starts as a love quadrangle but goes in the expected direction as it proceeds. I totally loved this drama.

Some warnings:
->Absolutely no romantic scenes, still very cute to watch.
->Draaaagging after half of the episodes. (but by this time you would have fallen in love with this story,so you will enjoy watching no matter what)
->Other than the characters,I felt like music was the one that gave the feel of the story. As I said,it was dragging,so music had to fill the part.

One thing I like about this is, usually in all the dramas, although the main roles know how they feel about the other main role, they will not communicate their feelings properly (mainly to drag the drama). Here, the problem is a confused state of mind between 2 of the 4 roles. They are not sure what exactly they want, which I find very realistic.

Casts are perfect, though I felt rain was overacting in many places. may be his character was meant to be that way.

I haven't seen another korean drama with great music like this yet.

Can rewatch it after leaving a long gap.

It\''s so popular drama, but I\''m so disappinted... I had read really good reviews, so I\''ve though it is very curious. I suppose some scenes should be cut out. The plot included majority trite features and schemes of dramas, so eveything was totaly predictable. In result, I\''ve just start watching gorgeous beauty of Song Hye, Kim Seong Su and Bi. I admit I have nice time there with Byul\''s songs...

Would you pick this man after all that abuse?

I found this to be an interesting series but a little awkward to watch. The acting was superb. Song Hye Kyo can light up a screen just by being there. She played the part well, as did the other main characters. This familiar story of two people who are not in love, living under a contract marriage is not new, and the effort to make it unique is what I found awkward. The two outside influences, one male and one female, were well placed and fit the part well. The cooking and cleaning arguments were repetitive and started wearing on my nerves. Who thinks screaming about cleaning the house contributes to the quality of a personal relationship? The amount of domestic abuse delivered reached way up on the misery index and frankly wasn’t funny. This show did have some funny moments, like Ji Eun carrying grandmother on her back, but domestic bullying wasn’t one of them. I wanted them to get divorced so bad, but I knew it wasn’t going to happen.
Can a woman who receives that much abuse fall for this repulsive character? In my opinion, Lee Yeong Jae had very few redeeming qualities. After he looked like a raving idiot for so many episodes trying to make him look even partially normal in the end was a far stretch. I found myself rooting for Min Hyuk. Setting up Ji Eun to be a doormat for this guy was just way over the top. Taking all that verbal abuse and coming back for more felt like a battered woman going to the man who abuses her. For some reason, the writers think calling somebody dense, stupid, and other names is endearing or normal. I’ll accept the unique twist of two friends selling your house, emptying your bank account, and opening credit cards in your name, but remaining friends?
I’m not trying to tear this series apart, although it may seem like it. I watched every minute and rooted for Ji Eun the whole way. I wish I could have felt good about them at the end. I somehow thought they were with the wrong partners as the car drove away. Please watch and decide for yourself.

The show was ok. I like how it had a contract marriage in the show. Something about the show just didn’t click with me. I think the acting was fine. The script was about average there was nothing too special about what was written. There was no big plot twist that was great. The show is just average. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. It was boring to watch. But yet I was able to get through the show pretty quick in a way. The makeup, hair and outfits were nice looking. The translation was very well done. There was too much unneeded drama in this story for sure. I didn’t get how the friends could sell her house without the main girl knowing bout it.
