Full House is the first K-Drama that I watched and it remains as one of my fav Dramas all of time. Maybe if you watch it for the first time in this era you'll find this drama is not that good, but still, for me it was one of the best dramas in its time. So I'd give high rating for this drama because it was really good and fun.

Story: I give it 9.5 because back then in 2004 this drama was so refreshing, entertaining and the story got high original value. Although so many people think the Thai version is better, I love the Korean version a lot more. This drama gave me so much feels in 2004, while when I watched the Thai version I found it kinda boring.

The casts are really good and I love the chemistry between Rain and Song Hye Kyo. They're so funny and sweet.

The music is just perfect!

I've watched this drama for so many times, the last one is two weeks ago, and I still found this drama so enjoyable. But I gotta admit that I cringe so much at the clothes they wore in this drama. They were so horrible right now.

Overall this drama was really good in its own era. If you watched this drama in 2004, it would probably become your favorite. But if you haven't watched it yet I'm not sure if you will like it or not. Maybe the Thai version is a better option for those who haven't watched any version of this drama.

Strangely addictive even if a bit annoying and dated

This is another one of those K-dramas that feels like a "must see" even if it is 20 years old (at time of review).

Parts of the story is "too crazy" - like how is it possible to sell her house without her knowing? And exactly HOW naive, gullible and shortsighted is it possible to be? And who in their right mind would stay in contact with friends like that?
Their constant bickering is also kind of over the top - I can't imagine many actually taking it for so long.
Main storyline is OK, except beforementioned weaknesses. It could probably have been stronger, but then it would probably feel even less original?

In the later episodes I thought the flashbacks at times were a bit too many/long.

Even so, I found it difficult to stop watching – although some of it on faster speed, LOL.

The acting of the two ML and the FL (Rain, KSS and SHK) were good. I was not as convinced by second FL (HDG).
Music was quite fitting.

By today's standard I probably wouldn't rate it as high as I have (7), but I am taking age into account. Rewatch value is a bit lower though. This is more of a "see once as kind of a classic", but not such a classic you see more times.

I never get tired of watching this RomCom. It is one of those dramas exempted to be assessed and give verdict if it is a good drama or not. It doesn't have to be very well written nor a kind of drama that would make you think deeper. It is a light drama which we need from time to time. Hye Kyo's character is very fun to watch to loosen up in life, her love story with Rein is very simple and innocent that sometimes it is just what we need. It tells me that you don't have to be very smart person or a very ideal guy who knows how to please women well, to end up in such a happy relationship. Sometimes, all you need is to meet that one person, who will suddenly make you see things differently and would fall in love with it.

I'm one f the biggest fan of (rain) but i have to admit i was so disappointed after watching this
i had a great expectations after seeing everyone was talking about how much this drama is amazing
if i watched this at the beginning of my KD's watching journey
i think i would like it
but after a years of watching KD's i think i can judge stories well
so i think this drama was too childish for adults
and the plot was weak

too much quarreling , too much yelling and too much childish actions

the last 10 min. in this drama was nearly the best
and the only heart warming moments when they talked seriously and calmly
i have never seen that much of selfishness, filthy and hustler
like those who called themselvese friends in this drama

the story was draggy almost no side stories
just the same repetative scenes for the both leads yelling and quarreling
really it could be much more amazing than that
i thought the ML's family will take a good space in the story but it' doesn't happen

the Fl's taste in fashion and hair style was the worst

thank God i watched it because
i had it on my watching list for too long
this drama is for watching once

The characters were horrible

Was this drama entertaining? Yes. Was it good? No. Did the characters make me want to throw my phone across the room every five seconds? Absolutely.
I have to get this off my chest because it made me so heated every single episode, THE MALE LEAD WAS THE LOWEST OF TRASH!! He was a manipulative, lazy, mean, lying person whose word meant nothing. It felt like every single episode he would make a promise to her and then immediately say that it meant nothing and he’s not gonna keep it anymore. He made me so mad with the way he would treat her and be mad as to why she would pack up and leave. Also he would like play with her emotions like they meant nothing and he would do it so much that I just stopped rooting for them to be together after 5 episode. All I know is that he needs to get a therapist to learn how to manage his emotions.
Im just gonna say it…the female lead was stupid. Well not completely stupid but she tolerated too much and was way too forgiving. The ML would constantly be screaming and berating her and she would STILL be nice to him and always always take him into consideration. Every time he stood her up or said the meanest things ever she would time and time again still forgive him and still like him. Idk I just think that she’s way too good for him and shouldn’t have married him( his proposal was also ass).
I’m not even gonna talk about her “friends” they make me too mad.
The only redeemable character imo is Hye Won. Obviously at first I hated her because she never wanted the ML until her first choice rejected her, but after giving it some thought I understood her. They were childhood best friends and she didn’t realize how precious he was to her until she was losing him. I think her pursuing Young Jae was the normal thing to do after finding out he was in a fake marriage. She never treated the FL terribly and only ever aimed to make the ML hers. I had so much respect for her especially when she let him go to the FL despite her feelings for him, she was really strong for letting him go even when she still loved him so much. And she STILL became friends with the FL by the end of the show, she was 100% the best character with the best character development.
Story wise it was pretty entertaining ig but still very annoying.

I'm sorry to the other fans who loved this show, but this show started getting irritating after some time. The whole premise for this show is cook->clean->fight->go out of house ->fight again->leave because of second leads->other person waiting in house->make up->fight again->cook.

This whole cycle is repeated in every 2-3 episode interval. This is what gets irritating. Now for a family audience who watch this on a TV, its still ok. But for binge watching, its horrible.

What I like about this is the music which is really great specially the song "Fate". I like Song Hye Kyo and sometimes even Rain though he gets on my nerves. It feels as if kids/teenagers are running the house. I like cohabitation/marriage stories, but this show doesn't really develop any element of cohabitation stories ( e.g. sexual tension)

Anyways I could recommend this to pre-teens, and early teenagers but not to adults.

Contract marriage grows into something more

8/10 is my rating. This is a 2004 South Korean television series spanning 16 (60 Minute) episodes and noted to be the pioneer of the Koreen “romantic comedy.” Han Ji-eun (Song Hye-kyo), an aspiring scriptwriter, lives in a house called "Full House" built by her late father. Her long time "friends" send her away on vacation and sell her house to scam the money. When she makes her way back to South Korea she finds that her beloved house now belongs to Lee Young-jae (Rain), a top South Korean actor. They strike a marriage contract and Ji-eun cooks and cleans to pay off her debt. Since it is not a "real" marriage Ji-eun and Yong-jae see other people. Young-jae finally has a chance at a girl he has loved since childhood and Ji-eun finds herself pursued by the man of her dreams. But living in such close proximity starts a growing love between the two housemates.

Spoiler 🚨 I really liked both characters and their romance was actually perfect in its imperfection. It did, at times, feel like we were seeing and repeating the same cycles again and again and it got a little frustrating - that is why I did not rate it higher. I had comments on and noticed a lot of the comments were around that as well - that it repeated scenarios too much. I thought it took a deep look at love and what the heart wants. Someone can have all the right elements and your brain says pick that one but the heart may go a completely different direction. I thought it would be a simple, sweet, story and it really wasn't simple at all. It was also somewhat of a period piece as you can tell, based on some more recent dramas, that relationships are changing. He was almost obsessive compulsive about cleaning as it seemed they cleaned everything every day regardless.

This drama filled me with so much hate.

I'm a huge fan of romantic comedies and I absolutely both side love interest in this. Kang Hye Won set the standard for dislikable second female lead. Just a terrible character, manipulative and a user. Yuck. Yu Min Hyuk is the same, just the worst.

This made me a fan of Song Hye Kyo and even though Rain's character is sort of a jerk, it doesn't stack up to the bad behavior of his terrible friends.

I have mixed feelings on this review. At the time of watching it, it was cute and I seemed to enjoy it. I remember some parts being nonsensical but other parts I really loved. Looking back now, after it having been a while I am not too happy with this drama, but at the time it was cute in its own way. I liked Rain's character Lee Young-jae but that is almost where my appreciation stops :(

It was really kind of outdated- granted it was from 2004. Some of it was fun but you really came to hate a few of the characters (mostly her “friends”). The story was new that first round and I was interesting for a bit but as you watch more and more k dramas you realize there was very little unique about this drama and it became just a little to repetitive.

Over all this drama still gets a relatively decent score because there is something about it that made me happy while watching it.

Story---Okay again as in many of my reviews i must say that this story line/theme is perfect and unique! It's like someone's dreams came true because this story is cute and fluffy.Only in dreams (for me) this could happen in real life! That's why i love every moment of the drama! The only thing i didn't liked it's love triangle?I hate it in every k-drama so it's okay. The story development was also good and i loved how it ended.I think nothing was missing there. There was comedy, comedy ,romance and...sweet moments?Lol for me it was just sweet and cute.

Acting----Okay their chemistry was good but not very good...I know Rain tried very hard in acting but i felt a little coldness towards main girl?Maybe it's part of his role idk but at first it was very light chemistry but after while almost at the end episodes i fell in love with his super duper cute character! He was like small baby u want to cuddle with a pinch his cheeks!^_^

Music---Okay i also love the music. The main theme that Rain sang is in my phone and i listen to it often even if it's been 5 years since i watched it!

Rewatch value----Hmmm hard one..Of course u should rewatch it but person should be in right mood!^_^ I rewatched it only 2 times but still it's amazing when your craving for it!

Over the course of this drama, I asked myself many questions, many of them beginning with "Why". But the question I asked myself the most was: "Why do the jerks always get the girl?".
Since I dislike ranting, I'll spare you guys a paragraph or two of my anger with the heroine, but COME ON.
You have an amazing, kind, mature guy who's loved you from the start and you choose the biggest manchild to ever walk the earth?
There are no words to describe the number of times I've wanted to bang my head against the wall while watching this. I feel like I've been wronged. Rain's character made me thank god I don't know anyone like that. He drove me up a wall with his constant denial of his feelings, his inability to express them and his selfishness. That made him a nice foil for Ji-Eun, who figured out what her feelings were, told Young-Jae when she figured out and protected him from the press even though she was getting hurt in the process.
Meanwhile, Min-Hyuk was nice and understading of Ji-Eun, and gave her a chance to fulfill her dream of being a writer even when he didn't know her that well. His character was the most layered one in the show, and yet who did the main lead choose?
I just lost faith in my gender.
(I highly doubt this comes as a spoiler, seeing as we're told from the start- in the synopsis itself- who the second-lead and the main lead are, but if some of you think it is, feel free to report this review)
As for Hye-won, I started out disliking her, but even when she started trying to break up the main couple, I understood her and even possessed some degree of respect for her. True, she wasn't a perfect character, but haven't any of us done the same thing(s) as her? True, she was selfish, but what is it about Young-jae's selfishness that makes us root for him, and Hye-won's selfishness that makes us want to shoot her in the face? It's the same thing- taking people for granted, liking people when they don't like you back, ignoring those who really do like you- it's just that Hye-won realized what she was doing and tried- in her own way- to make things right.
As for the story, the plot sort of went in circles around an ending that I saw coming from miles away. Let's face it, when the plot is basically confined to one story arc, then all you have left is the resolution of that arc. There were barely any side plots to hold my attention, and by episode ten I just started skipping through the rest.
All in all, this drama was likeable, but a little slow. Cute enough to hold my attention, but full of weird "angsty" closeups of the actors' faces as they showed "emotions". That is my biggest pet peeve with cinematography. There are other ways to show characters' emotions other than having them throw things around and taking closeups of them as they overact. *Massages temples*.
That's pretty much all I want to say at this point. I hope you guys enjoy it more than I did.

This is the first drama I ever watched and that's why it will always have special place in my heart. I loved it, I was totally swooned. But when putting feelings aside this drama is actually pretty bad. Seriously.

Some 4 first episodes are a bit boring for me, and all the characters are super annoying, especially the main girl. Half of the time it's hard to say what is even going on. And then towards the end it gets pretty draggy, everyone is crying.

My first thoughts: how could her friends do that to her?! Why are they are brushing their teeth all the time? Hasn't anyone noticed that the girl hasn't changed her clothes for 6 days? Why are these people always yelling at each other?

Once the show gets really started it's pretty cute and entertaining, I had a lot of "awww" moments. And well, I guess this show is worth watching just for Rain/Bi, he is super cute. Even though his character wears super weird clothes.

But personally, I think Full House is sort of outdated now, everything about it feels old and ancient. I think it should be buried in drama history and left there. It's a cute show though, and a good first ever drama.
