I'm a fan of timeless stories like these, especially Itazura na Kiss, which, I think, inspired this drama series. But more than anything, this drama was even better than the original ISWAK story! You cannot state that A Love So Beautiful was an adaptation of the original manga, because it's not. However, the plot is very similar. Stories about high school sweethearts always warms my heart and makes me melt. In my opinion, the early 2000s setting, the characters and most importantly the lead couple - they were more likable than the original cast of any ISWAK adaptation. The thing that makes this drama so enjoyable to watch is the relationship between the main couple - Jiang Chen and Xiao Xi. They show signs of love and interest from the very beginning of the drama. Yes, the story and characters might seem childish and too good to be true at times, however, it's a feel-good type of story that doesn't need to be realistic or mature for you to love it. There are numerous scenes that make you press the stop button and replay the scene over and over again. You've got to give it to the brilliant acting as well, I might even start watching more Chinese dramas after seeing so many pretty and talented actors.
It's still very difficult for me to get over this drama. The episodes are too exciting and some scenes always make me want to squeal, so I'll definitely be rewatching this very soon! If you're still hesitant, whether to watch it or not, just do it! Your heart will flutter - that's guaranteed!
P.S. And gotta mention that last episode. The directors gave us complete fan service. Thank you it was just what we all needed!

SURE, I RECOMMAND IT
I watched it many times and I can still watch it again!! It's a good drama to recommend for beginners, I loved the cast, the plot, the story even the ending which it's hard to find a good one!It may be a typical love story between the popular genius guy and a normal cheerful not good at studying girl, however, I still love it! You can notice how it went smoothly from not caring, to worry, then getting interested to finally falling in love...
It's an innocent love story that began in high school (I guess) when Chen Xiaoxi (the girl) confessed to Jiang Chen (the guy): "I love you", he casually replied "I don't love you", her reaction made me think how interested this character is " I will figure it ou" I was like, what will figure out?
If I was her it will be awkward for me to meet him every day after the confession... (especially that the guy is her neighbor )
I like dramas with innocent love and this one is my cup of tea...
(it's my first time to write a review so hope it made me want to watch the drama)

Yikes, A Biased Review :
I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell you how this journey began. I know I was watching Meteor Garden at the time, so perhaps, being introduced to Shen Yue was the culprit and I can’t complain considering she’s become one of my favorite actresses, but I won’t bore you with my three page essay devoted to my love for her.I’ve probably watched this drama about three times now because watching it once wasn’t enough to suffice the void it left in me after I finished. The story these characters told was just so, well, beautiful. The title says it all and you can’t deny that. I’ve never seen so much chemistry shared between more than one character in a drama. The love and the friendships created in this story is rare and undeniable and we have the actors to thank for that. I’ve seen hours of behind the scene footage and they got on so well. They made it easy to fall in love with these characters and to keep my interest peaked.
I wouldn’t say the plot is entirely perfect because it’s not. No drama is without its flaws, but I can’t complain too much. *whispers* you deserved better Wu Bo Song. 👀
Overall, if the story and chemistry doesn’t tug at your heart within the first three episodes then maybe this drama isn’t for you, but if it does then I highly recommend adding this to your watch list. I’m biased because it’s now my favorite and I’m making it a ritual to rewatch once a year. Obsessed? Probably. Definitely.

Plot:- A quirky and active girl named Chen Xiaoxi studies in Chenxi school and is interested in painting and reading novels and doesn't show interest in studies. Whereas our main lead actor Jiang Chen also studies in the same school as her and is a straight top A student and is an introvert and couldn't mingle with anyone easily because of his family problems and his father's demise but our lead actress is in love with our main lead since her childhood and the thing is they both are neighbours and after being rejected by him after her first proposal she still follows him wherever he goes. Slowly Jiang Chen starts to have a secret crush on her but couldnt express his feelings to her like her but here comes the problem another classmate of their class named Wu Bosong,a professional swimmer also likes Chen Xiaoxi and from there on the plot goes on and engages you very well.
the acting was on point and I felt the cast fit perfectly

this drama is the prime example of a beautifully well-written love story highlighting the concept of Friendship, First Love, Self-expression and Career.
Things I want to mention:
▪︎Some people might not like this drama because of the attitude of the lead actor Jiang Chen and the behavior of the lead actress Chen Xiaoxi, but that's what the story is about as how these two polar opposites start to like each other and appreciate each other and the hurdles they face during their journey because of their personal problems.
▪︎Some might not like it because of serious 'Second lead syndrome' caused by a very sweet and caring WuBosong but don't forget that our main lead actor also loves her but secretly so just watch till the end
Don't miss out on watching this piece of beauty that brings you many nostalgic feelings of your school days and your first love. This is a MASTERPIECE and to be honest, I hated the idea of watching this drama after reading the summary but somehow I started it and got connected to it fully even though I was angry, sad, or happy sometimes.That's just because of the acting and the storyline of the drama
If u r a fan of K-dramas once u watch this then no doubt ull get attached to this drama and start to search for more C-dramas😂

I finished all in just 3 days. Felt this drama is a bit too short, wish there were more episode. I watched it over and over again. I even went into their wikipedia to know more about the cast.
I love the song so so much. Never skip the song in the beginning of the show. The song kept running in my head and I always love to sing along.
Overall, I highly recommend this drama to all at all age as it will make you feel happy and young.. watch it if you don't believe me Hahaha... really looking for forward for Part 2.

Such A Sweet Drama
This is the cutest school drama I have ever watched. Chen XiaoXi is so damn cute. I also liked Jiang Chen. I really liked their school life . It was so much fun with characters like Lu Yang, Jing and Wu Bosong. I really liked the guy called Wu Dazhong(if i remember his name correctly) who is their classmate and is very funny. I felt that the drama got a lil bit serious and just a lil bit boring when they entered their college life. Well ofcourse that's how it works. School life is the best time. The happy ending makes everything perfect. Would definitely recommend this drama. I also liked the title song of the drama . It's very catchy.Was this review helpful to you?

Best C-Dramas I've Watched So Far!!
Actually I dropped this at the 2nd episode because LOL i couldn't really stand the main girl cz she kept embarrassing herself and it made me feel the icks.. but i thought about continuing to watch it since yk i practically spent time on those 2 episodes already and honestly the best decision ever.
What I didn't like:
It's cute and all buttttttttttttttt it was kinda weird how he just started liking her very very late... It was also bizarre because he just called her 'his gf' and now boom they r together. Not even a confession which i kinda wanted haha but that's my preference ofc. Another thing is that when he gets jealous it pisses me off a little, i mean he isn't even trying for her so what is he expecting..... he kinda gatekeeps her a little too much. And as for the female lead, it kinda irritated me because she knew her grades are bad, but she won't even try? And whenever the male lead offers help, she just keeps insisting that she can do it herself when she actually can't. HAHA, these are just things I didn't like about their characters ig, cz it kinda impacted their rs.
What I liked about this:
It's adorable. The male lead is so handsome LOL and he's so precious please when he cried in her hand ISPAHFPASFS HE WAS SO ADORABLE. I liked how their breakup was really realistic too. It's hard dating a doctor because of their rough schedule. I love how there were imperfections here and there because it really shows how a relationship actually is. The story is pretty good ngl. I like how he secretly glances over her and checks up on her... I think he just really has a difficult time expressing his emotions but even so, ITS CUTEE SOLSDGHSD and every time he actually gets affectionate it always shocks me HAHAHA

A beautiful love story with love triangle
A love so beautiful:- I will not write much about it coz it is a beautiful and cute love story.All the main characters have played their role beautifully.thestory line was quite unique and its execution was also beautiful.songs were also good.thestory of second leads was also intresting to watch.i literally felt bad for wu bosong.yes this drama also have a love triangle.Why to watch?:-
1-if u wanna watch a school romance
2-if u like male leads playing cold outside and warm inside.
3-if u wanna experience a cute love story with a leap.

don't think too much watch it nowwwwww
I usually don't write reviews but I had to for this one because it deserves all the appreciation and recognition.Being an avid cdramas and kdramas watcher I can gurantee you that this drama won't disappoint you. The acting, storyline, friend squad and especially the chemistry of main leads just makes this drama one of the best ones. I just cannot move on from the cuteness of everyone. I wish I could erase my memory and watch it again afresh. If you are still thinking whether to watch it or not then this is your sign to do so.

one of the cdrama that like but can't rewatch
They really pick the best actors/actresses, but something I don't like? It will be that Chen Xiao Xi is carefree and always makes trouble, to be honest every time Chen Xiao Xi got into trouble is that I always get secondhand embarrassment. But what I like the most is Jiang Chen always save her from the troubles she is making. Secondhand embarrassment is the reason why I can't rewatch it, and also I kind of don't like why Jiang Chen hides his feeling for Chen Xiao Xi. Good Drama!!! FR!!
