Acting/Cast: All of the characters seemed perfectly portrayed by their respective actors. There was no overacting, nor was there any wooden acting. Overall, spot on.
Music: To be honest, nothing too memorable. The end song was cool, and none of it was bad, but that's about it.
Rewatch Value: Super easy. It helps that its a relatively short movie.
Overall, I liked it. I would have honestly preferred a bit more romance at certain points, but other than that I don't have much to criticize. Its definitely worth watching.

Kinda hate the ending
Well at first the story is quite okay, I do understand the flow of the story. The casting is so good and I clearly remember the other boy, he is also the main lead in the movie called jonjou, honestly I enjoy that more than this one but the cast in Taiikukan baby is much better, just my opinion. The ending is not the ending Im expecting, I kinda hate jun's friend, lol such a bother. I just hope that the two swimmer ended up together cause they relly hold a good chemistry. Overall It's still worth it to watch but if old movies isn't your thing, i dont really know if you're going to like this...Was this review helpful to you?

NATAÇÃO, DILEMAS E INTROSPECÇÃO
Esse é um filme dramático com elementos de romance e nele temos o Shibahara que é um nadador e filho do técnico da escola (por isso que o chamam de Gymnasium Baby que veio através de um boato), ele é um garoto que quer nadar para impressionar o pai e conseguir uma bolsa para a faculdade, mas tudo começa a dar errado quando ele precisa parar de nadar por um problema no coração.E também temos o Murai que é completamente obcecado pelo Shibahara. Eles são rivais na raia mas o Murai o tem como sua maior inspiração e motivo para que ele nade, e assim se cria uma relação entre eles, quando o Murai o chama para ser seu treinador (o que ele aceita por ter sido salvo por ele no começo do filme) pois o quer por perto.
No começo o Shibahara tem dificuldade de encarar problemas e sempre foge, já o Murai enfrenta e o protege, mas numa dessas ele o beija e tudo desanda.
Também temos o Katou que é o melhor amigo do Shibahara e é um excelente amigo, mas ele secretamente o ama e a aproximação dele com o Murai o leva ao limite.
Num geral esse é um filme introspectivo em que cada personagem está passando por seus próprios dilemas e problemas, o romance não é o foco aqui mas é o que da o norte e termina de forma bem harmoniosa (apesar de ser um final bem ruim para mim).
Mas apesar de tudo que eu disse acima esse é um filme simples com várias falhas e defeitos e nada de especial. Eu não assistiria novamente e não é memorável, mas também não é ruim.
