Amazing potential but horrible plot at the end

Amazing idea, amazing actors, amazing characters and really funny plot at the beginning.
The main problem is that the plot become a little stupid, and the main girl character does so horrible choices that I’ve begun to hate her. I can’t imagine someone who is in love that does the things she did, empathy is almost absent here.
Moreover, there are too many repetitive scenes, with slow motion, that are about 30% of the total amount of time of the drama. What a pity, really!
Also I didn’t like the way psychiatric desease are treated, I think Korea is really behind on this theme…

Some reviews made me hesitate to watch this drama

And I thought it will be trivial but I was wrong
It's about mysophobia (OCD)
For the first time in Psychological drama In my opinion, the disease was treated in a correct way
With psychiatrist
Because it was annoying and illogical a lot when they made the FL heal the ML in this kind of dramas
She should be one of the reasons but not the Dr

Any way it was really good

It talked about many Psychological issues
Like :
*you can hurt people around you and you think you are right and loving them

*Phobia should be treated in a correct way or you can hurt others

*Power of love can heal

*Forgiveness is important and you should know whom you should blame

The drama was comedy romance
I loved cleaning fairies team work so much specially cha in ha

Secretary Kim was so funny and the ML's mother boyfriend also

I hated the grandfather attitude so much ,
he was so cruel ,
although he was good at the end ,
but that doesn't mean he didn't hurt many already

The romance was really good although I saw that there were too many kisses between main leads with no need

I loved the FL's brother story and hoped they could focus on it more
And they didn't say what happened in his college after 2 years

I loved the ML's mother but till the end they didn't say why she left kyun sang to his grandfather and travel abroad

The only thing that annoyed me that I saw the ML didn't fit the role
His face was too childish
I thought he was about 21 I got shocked when I knew his age
His acting was very good but he wasn't suitable for this role
He gave me the feeling he was a graduated school student not a business owner with mysophobia,
Which annoys me but not that much

I hated when the second ML is really good
I was so sad for him
He sacrificed a lot

The timing in this drama wasn't correct
They said days are passed then said one day,
They said the grandfather should die in 3 months but 2 years passed and he was still alive

I didn't see almost any thing wrong in this drama it was really good and light
For the first time they ended each side story in a satisfied way

Really I enjoyed this drama ☺️

The Neurotic ☯ The Dust Bunny & The Vac Matchmaker ~ It's Clean-Cut ☯ Opposites Heal °VG°

Collapsed & feeling swept neath piles of dirty laundry, I looked for pure, brainfree fun. After some googs, CWPFN seemed the perfect rinse&repeat. To come clean, the chance to tell frenz & fam that I'm so wiped I've resorted to watching a show abt a woman (a bit of a foodstained mess, really) who ends up in a ❤🔺 w/ her OCD oppressed boss & his psych 😆. How much fun is that, before the shift starts, even? {🚫 sneers @ Kroms & silly plots. Know: What they do, our USA does too, ie: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes '78; Weekend at Bernie's '89; Return to Me '00; Sisterhood-Traveling Pants'05; & the splendiferous Being John Malkovich〰> loved, all. Now those are #crazy premises}

O-sol (OS) has been struggling for balance ever since her mom died in a disputed construction crash 6 yrs ago. As the victims never rec'd justice, it's an open wound, still. She limped thru college to then full-steam-on job hunt (including the nec research/interview practice) but she rarely gets a face-to-face. OS sees ⬆📶 hurdles as her strength & will steadily dilute. Facing lil bro & dad she /acts/ bleachy clean. They all /act/ that way, dingily drudging thru _ since_mom_.

OSol-O-Mio🎶 Is also eked out over her dusty college crush. He acts like his cruddy soap will dissolve in her pail, sorta. He's certainly friendly💭 She's snagged like an old rag & sinking to the sludgy bottom. Despondent, she's ceased efforts to deterge, sponge off, or 🛀 (esp her hair). She's slowly morphed from hygiene-2-bye-giene.

Ironically, the only job she can scrape-up is w/ a cleaning co. That'll be as new for OS as her pink coveralls. As Mr. Jang (Yoon Kyun-sang), the CEO, is an OCD sufferer, cleaning is his passion. Dirty, messy things terrify him. Before long, OS will terrify him to😵♒💢. He'll never buff away the scorch she's left.

Build-up in the early eps sees OS falling from 🗑 to rubbish heap. She hangs onto her job by a feather in her duster. Mr. Jang takes time to remediate her 'black mold' complaining clients. He finds OS has a clean slate & takes her side. Always kind & refreshing (or too apoplectic to react) Jang, unawares, becomes protective of her. He'll be her bioshield, baby. OS bonds w/ her crew & mops /up/ on the job.

One day, she tips & spills from a ladder as Jang brushes by. Jang's scrubbed-in reaction is: ⛔Flee❗ Afterall, OS is filthy: Dirt, sweat, greasy hair + who knows❔ Yet he sprints & catches her. 🕒▶nothing◀🕞 He's FINE. Gently holding her like a baby🐢, he asks: R U O K? Onlookers hold their breath, waiting for the 💣 that never💥. Looks like Jang's plunged thru a clog. Here's one dust bunny that he'll tolerate.

In a spot, OS must hide her J. O. B. From D. A. D. A lifelong janitor, he's adamant that his kids live streak-free. In the interim, dad's rented the rooftop room to a handsome jobless man who's cozy & unstarched w/ the fam - OS's the one who really spruces him up. He's /Dad's/ rooftop 💕prince. Dad wants OS to have the right job for *marriage. OS's 💓 longs for her pitiful boss to heal. He's such a neat guy. Thus, is ground-floor CWPFN. It gets down & dirty and into the crevices from there.

CWPFN's not a stinker a'tall. Filmcraft is sprayed round like Jang's sanitizer (It's ok! It's safe for humans!). Comedic timing is spot-on, which takes director, actor & editor teamwork, proving their spotless business plan. Kim Yoo-jeong, as OS, gleams. Maybe it's forced perspective, but she looks part Paulina-Porizkova- (ref. 80's Vogue part Bratz-doll next to Jang. He should sweep her up & drop her in his 🗑bag, not kiss her‼ She is a tiny "microbe-she"❕ Beginning grungy, w/ every ep OS looks cuter. One of her crew loves hugging her while smelling her hair. Jang, -steamed- threatens to break dude's fingers & astonishingly snatches dude's hand off of OS -sans GLOVES. O. C. D. Takes a back seat to O. S. O. L.

The 🎭 is smooth & glossy. Yoon is authentically shammy-shined as Jang; his luster is natural & he excels at raising a single brow (OooLaLa). Lee Do-hyun, as lil bro O-dol, is a steamy 🚿, ahem, w/ a 💦 of hi-kick-hits. He gets a satisfying dab of 💌. Kim Won-hae (dad) gets around so much, he might be overlooked, but he's talented. I love him as Crazy Dog in Black-9, a cop troubled by anger. Ms Kim (OS) has her🥇moments. She's darling when they start dating. (They should have had more happy times before the slime started oozing up & out of the drain). In ep11, Jang is tipsy & OS helps him to bed. Once they've flopped on & he's out, she watches him as her face balances multiple expressions. It's a tidy bit of acting.

But for all that, if you think they sop up the laughs by showing a severe OCD sufferer, suddenly kissed by his employee, who is pretending she has a BF in front of her musty crush, after which poor OCD guy faints (🆘-ol❗) landing in the 🏨… then 😅 away, you calloused meanie. If you further snicker at how he's then mottled w/ mind-splatters of her winking at him while puckering her germ-laden 💋, causing spasmatic screaming, to the point that his assistant calls a psych, go ahead & yuck it up at this poor guy's expense. Is this really funny? In the most stoopid way, uh-huh, it is, especially if OCD is in the fam or if you just need some safe space where you can roll your eyes & smile. (Oh, that's dumb. I can't believe I laughed. Well, nobody has to know🙄)

🤖 CAM❕ The vacuum gets screen time as a side character. We swab along @ vac level, & shake heads when Jang's talking to it, as he is wont to do, given the affection they share. I feel the same way about Florence (Flo), my 🤖vac.

Some of the subtitles are by "Charmy". Isn't that sweet? Love it.

CWPFN burnishes this truth: There's no shame in cleaning for a living. Do you know the names of the cleaning people at your office? Aren't you thankful your trash is removed? How much better would the world be, if we could treat each other w/ friendliness & dignity? 🗑thy pride. During the worst of covid, folks, instead of dismissing, began thanking "The Help" who were stocking shelves. Let's normalize that trend. Working won't be miserable if people chose to be decent; especially bosses. That swept to the side, SK job contracts seem brutal, creating pressure that's truly caustic to well-being.

Now to spot where CWPFN may fail inspection❎

While in the aquarium, OS muses abt baby turtles who follow the stars to the ocean. Artificial light misleads them. OS wonders: "Am I following the Starlight or the artificial light?" That's an unblotted metaphor. YET, in failing to soak viewers in OS's love of ocean life early on, the scene didn't wash well. It could have been immersive. Instead, it floats in the air like fine dust.

Fear-of-failure is what motivates Jang's g/father, exerting a stronger down-drag than a desire to win could normally surmount. Pain from loss is more intense than the fleeting beauty of gain, as is evidenced by the stingiest rich. Sadly, g/father's story arc is toxically simple. Jang's arc is rushed, too. (Abruptly it's: "I'll make you fall for me").

Some harradin contaminates their space, demanding to see rooftop man while pulling Dad & Bro's hair as they meekly cry for help. Silly? Sure. Not their best scene, it's sillier than Jang tweezing that single hair off of the carpet. Kdramas are panned for overdoing, to which I say: "Compared to what?" Scour that one again - SK society is highly⛓pressurized. We have plenty of stuff as nutty or worse, we're just used to seeing our stuff. We should be aware that sneering & affectionate poking are different, that's all. The rooftop stud starts acting goofy in the later eps for no reason other than time-filler. As is, it feels like the floor-buffer is shimmying off on its own.

CWPFN could benefit from retraining. Too much repetition can ruin the finish, & CWPFN has its share of Kdrama 'misting chambers' that are set to repeat. Refer below:

🚿 Ep1s are abt extremes. He's extremely OCD. She's extremely dirty.

🚿 The ❤🔺 again. To be fair, it works well enough in CWPFN, though the device is dingy from overuse.

🚿TIAMF: This is about my friend. In this series, as Jang pathetically has no such friend, the fun is watching secretary Kwon try to Swiffer her expressions.

🚿WKEWY: We knew eachother when young. My acronym: I say the "K" is silent, & it's pronouced: "Whey," which in Korean, is why. WHYY?!! So overdone. Not needed.

🚿TBU: The breakup. Usually just for one ep, CWPFN goes into breakup OT & is overly sad.

🚿MSS: Mandatory Separation Syndrome (Couples are physically separated once they commit). It's nearly ubiquitous & it's usually awful. CWPFN drags MSS out painfully long & clutters up Eps15&16, which are sad enough to permanently tarnish the series.

At the end of the job, however, CWPFN stands bright & shiny. Some will 💖 it, some may declare the whole series a waste @ the 1st spot of grime on the white glove, but CWPFN is a tidy little show w/ smudges here & there. I like the tempo & I can veg to it, so I give it a 7. Next shift: Let The 🤖Vac Do The Work While You Give Your Body & Mostly Your Mind A Break. Rest with passion for now.

The last 3 episodes made me drop my overall rating from a strong 8 to 4.5

SPOILERS
Kim You Jung made this show cute and wholesome but somehow they destroyed her character Oh Sol in just a few minutes after episode 13. We knew that something was happening between Oh Sol's family and Sun Gyeol's Grandpa, there were hints everywhere. I thought that there was some bigger secret that maybe drunk Sun Gyeol killed her mother, but no. He was traumatized by his grandpa, he also lost his father because of him (THEY DIDN'T EXPLAIN MORE? HELLO? Just that he made his father leave his mother btw she was a cool character). Grandpa also sent him abroad without hearing what he had in mind because he needed to catch up with the deadlines at the construction site he sped up the process which concluded with the death of Oh Sol's mother. THEN when he gets to know that they're coming closer to each other, he forbids Oh Sol to be with him even if he will confess, if she can do it then he will save her brother's sports career. AND THEN they're hooking up, and angry grandpa goes for big guns and tells his ppl to ban him from matches for one year WTF. I was so frustrated with his character. But it was good, he had 3 months to live, he would die (I was hoping so much for this), and he was just the villain of this story. BUT WHAT HAPPENED. THIS BIATCH (Oh Sol) goes to his boyfriend, and breakups with him. That guy had so much pain in the past and she blames him for the sins of his grandpa. WHERE THE FUCK IS LOGIC. There was more fucked up shit going on, the she realise that she still loves him but because her family also hated him (BUT WHY?) she still doesn't allow him to get back. Afterward, there is a time skip of 2 years, and he cures himself of his mysophobia and starts a new business bla bla bla, he still loves her and is courting her like a simp but she still is like NOPE I still hate your family, like seriously? why?! The director just broke this drama in 3 episodes FOR ME. I don't like this illogical stuff and Oh Sol's way of reacting to the past for which he was not even guilty. And for the worst, Grandpa lives happily cured of cancer (I don't like forgiving that much stuff). Overall drama was cozy and cute with mental health issues in the background. But how they made them resolve these problems was too emotional, like they didn't even think just staying in the pain of the past, was kinda too much for me.

The side characters were good, I want to point out Choi Ha In (Dr. Daniel was a good third wheel in this drama) and Min Joo Yun (her friend, she was very likable). This is my first review that was created to funnel my frustrations :3

Last three episodes were waste of time

I watched Chinese version before this drama ,all I can say that the Chinese drama is more improved one .
Love story started after 11 or 12 th episode then tragedy they separated and get vey end of the last episode .
If Chinese version and Korean version mix and new drama launch with the same concept so I guess this story become more and more better.
This story didn't focus on other love story as well as not giving complete ending just in Chinese version.
Only acting was good specially main lead.
Lead actress' character took a lots of time to accept his feeling which make the drama bore especially the hospital scene she was so much in pain to see hime in such condition then to not accept his feeling such overreacting feeling she showed.
I like Chinese version more than this but first few episodes were good then Chinese one .

The first few chapters are hilarious, the story is okay and I really liked the kissing scenes. The main characters had the best chemistry and it was so enjoyable to watch, they made the cute scenes extra cute.

Jang Seon Gyeol is just the cutest thing ever, I don't know why people don't like his appearance. Those cheeks are soooo cute.

As I said, the story is okay. Lots of cliches, nothing new. I don't even know if the mysophobia thing was portrayed accurately because I'm not familiar with that condition, but it was really interesting to see the daily struggle and the character development. I think that was my favorite part of this drama.
However, the fact that whenever they had a problem they didn't talk to each other annoyed me to death, as the story went on there were lots of unnecessary drama and I just- my God, why is it that difficult to just talk about ~things~ and work things out

The OST was really nice, it did a pretty good job on getting you in the mood.

I really... really enjoy watching this drama and wait every week for this. The story, just like I said, is predictable. But, I can't help to not skipping this one. The "mother" of this story is just unrealistic, like, what on earth you throw a party to cure your son, you just make it worst.
I love the chemistry between main leads. Both are cute together, especially kyun sang when he was jealous. So hilarious and fluffy. I just love the proportion of the couple here. Kyunsang just like a giant teddy bear when he's near yoo jung (which I love, because who doesn't love teddy bear, huh?)
I already recommend this to anyone who wants to see a light-cheerful-yet predictable drama (and most of them loved it)
If you want to start a light drama with less evil character and predictable plot, just start it and you won't be disappointed, because this drama is so hilarious

Casting, poorly written characters & heavy handed comedy ruin it

I wanted to like this but here was so much I just didn't like. Last things first; There is a 2 year time skip near the end with an unexplained miracle cure & a complete 180 of the male lead's personality. Then there is a bland ending where the main couple just hug. That's because they've already had an excessive amount of kissing beforehand, some of which created warm fuzzies, ( but they just kept at it & the spark just fizzled out. ) Then there is the matter of the casting. Yoon Kyun Sang was miscast. He is 6'4 and towered above his 5' costar. side views of him look like he is ominously lurking above her like a vulture! He was portraying a character whose medical condition would lend itself towards being on the slim side, but Yoon Kyun Sang is more lumberingly large. next problem I had was with the writing. Yoon Kyun Sang's character was written such that he was buffoonish with over the top comedic expressions & was repelling, not funny. He also spent the entire series being needy, with either a blank face or a hopeful desperate look, both of which were unendearing. Meanwhile, Kim Yoo Jung was perfectly cast & very appealing but was written to be too simple & incapable. It made it hard to be sympathetic to her. Her brother was also written badly & was a very flat unlikeable character. over all I'd say that it was poor writing or directing/interpretation of the character that was at fault. The real problem for this series is that there is a better rendition out there.NO, the real problem is that I watched the Chinese version (Touch Your Heart) before watching this & it was much much better. & randomly : Jasper Liu, the lead in the Chinese version (Touch Your Heart) looks like Song Jeu Rim's twin bother ! Clean with a passion for now was cringy & I couldn't wait to get done with it. Touch your heart I will definitely rewatch

Incredible cast! Incredible acting! incredible writing!

The characters were very well written. I liked almost every character in the show. The second male lead was also incredible. The cast all did an excellent job. I did not sense bad acting in any form. The story got heavy at the end, yet, even then it was still such a great watch. Additionally, the relationship and its pacing between the ML and FL were believable. The kissing scenes were realistic, and added value to the entire show without seeming too much or too little. Additionally, the ML not being the standard ML style was an additional plus. Even more, i enjoyed his acting in The Rebel, and have had the FL on my radar lately. All in all, i enjoyed the show far more than i thought i will.

This story is literally a classic example of "when opposites attract". The scenes are ridiculously hilarious and the two main leads delivered their parts well with excellent chemistry between them. Yoon Kyun-sang (main lead) didn't hold back on his expressions and played his character believably. The romantic scenes are also passionate and done well. These characters were endearing in their own way and the supporting cast did an awesome job too. I admire Kim Won-hae's (the dad) flexibility as an actor and also thought he did well in Do Bong-soon. Definitely worth your time!

Loved this series.

I love this series a lot! It stirred my emotions..made me laugh and cry and get upset and fall in love..I love how the actors played their roles effectively. I love you all!!! Kim yoo jung and kyun yoon sang, you've got chemistry. Love indeed breaks the walls of age, height, status, time and distance. Love cuts across all barriers. Powerful plot! the story is unique and timeless. the musical score touches my heart. every song brings meaning to every scene. I greatly appreciate lessons on the adverse effects of negative early childhood experiences and emphasis on the value of cleanliness. thank you so much. I love the lines of kyun yoon sang on respecting people whose job is cleaning. I really, really love that part. I recommend all parents, teachers and students to watch this drama .every sexond of it is worth the time. To all of you, thank you so much for coming up with this project!!

Good but not great

This is an easy show to watch without ever hitting the heights of greatness. The lead duo are really good in their roles and deliver genuine performances. Their relationship is suitably sweet and awkward in the same mix. But the show doesn't go deep enough into some of the really promising angles it set up. It also creates needless conflicts that lack tension because the viewer can see the resolution from a mile away. At times it came across as a poor man's I'm Not a Robot and I don't mean this as a slight upon the cast who gave it their everything, but were undermined by some weak writing.
