Song Xuanren and Fengjiu continue to study the mechanism of the tomb. Chu Wan and Ling Xiang, who are still searching for the Lingbi Stone, become suspicious of what they are secretly doing. There is a heavy flood in the Southern part of the state. Xuanren has to stop working on the tomb, and lets Fengjiu take care of it. He also orders Ye Qingti to look after her. Chu Wan visits Fengjiu at her palace, and catches a glimpse of the image of Lingbi Stone in Fengjiu’s drawing. In order to take the stone before all the mechanism is made in the tomb, Chu Wan decides to steal with Ling Xiang at night immediately. But little did they know that Fengjiu already knows what they’re planning to do and has set up a trap. Ling Xiang ends up being caught by Qingti. In fact, Xuanren has suspicion of Chu Wan as she always asks for the information of the stone. Chu Wan and Ling Xiang refuse to admit their wrong-doing. Ling Xiang commits suicide to save Chu Wan.
