Ye Jin-woo, an ER doctor at Sangkook University Hospital, surprisingly finds a familiar face lying in an ambulance with an uncertain cause of death.

Gu Seung-hyo offers to hear opinions on the hospital reorganization, but medical staff members soon realize his true motives for attending their meeting.

The doctors convene again, but Jin-woo doesn't agree with the meeting's outcome and later runs into Gu Seung-hyo, who says something enigmatic.

In a state of indignation over the CEO's demands, each department begins voting; Gu Seung-hyo's superior is pleased with the progress he made.

Gu Seung-hyo initiates his counterattack, which quickly makes headlines. Jin-woo becomes stuck doing an interview that no one else wants to do.

The doctors accept good news with a grain of salt; the hospital has an election for a new director.

No-eul probes Gu Seung-hyo and speaks openly about how she views his role; Jin-woo knows who will benefit more from the expanded incentive policy.

News of the voting result spreads quickly; No-eul spots Seon-woo going into Dr. Joo's office and realizes that he may be hiding something.

Dr. Oh Se-hwa holds a press briefing to announce the cause of death for a puzzling case, but sensing something suspicious, Jin-woo digs deeper.

The chairman of Hwajeong Group is furious to hear of the bereaved parents' change of heart, but Gu Seung-hyo assures him that all will be fine.

Gu Seung-hyo mulls over what his boss said in the elevator and later orders the dismissal of four doctors; No-eul confides in someone.

Gu Seung-hyo and his boss learn about the physicians' meeting through different means; Jin-woo and Dr. Joo gather evidence to confront Gu Seung-hyo.

Sehwa returns to the hospital. Jinwoo decides to reveal who leaked the financial records. Seo Hyo is ordered to announce a plan to privatize the hospital.
