Actor's did an excellent job! The drama started great but then epic letdown!
I really loved this drama to begin with, and the actors were amazing 👏 But the writer was seriously depressing. I mean come on now make us fall in love with a character and then they die, no one gets a happy ending but one rarely seen couple??? I loved the cast so much and the story had so much potential 😭 but what a horrible ending 😢💔😞😫😔 I binge was this and was just heart broken at the ending!!!😥😢😭 On a good note the cast was great! The lead actor and actress were amazing 👏 their friends were awesome too! 👌Was this review helpful to you?
Disappointing
This drama is so disappointing. I really like the beginning and trying to understand the relationship form by the 2 lead actors was great. It was not the most romantic but you really still want the best for these 2 characters. The story seem to go around in circles as we wait for the lead character get his full level of strength but the ending totally kill me and destroy the whole drama. Is like the writer put everything in the last episode to finish because he had no more ideas. There was no ending to end these characters. The actors did a great job in their performance but the story stinks. Was this review helpful to you?
Great premise ruined by dumb ending and exasperating ML
The initial story premise is very good and Kelly Yu as the quirky FL is great, but the rest of this production is a wreck. The ML character is just awful. I won't necessarily blame the actor because maybe he was directed to portray Jiang QingLiu this way and certainly a lot of it is in the script, but the ML character is just not a likable male lead. First off, he's just plain incredibly stupid and gullible through most of the show. He's also mostly incredibly emotionally detached and seems to be sleepwalking through most of this. He is absurdly incapable of actually doing anything right to completion, either as the FL has to finish or fix everything he does again and again. Worst of all he is way too often oblivious to the suffering his wife is going through. The story has a good overall plot with potentially interesting villains but the editing and delivery are very choppy along the way so the story often jumps from event to event in seemingly nonsensical ways. And the final two episodes are just awful - especially the last one which leans so heavily on the Noble Idiocy trope for absolutely no good reason. You have to resist the urge to punch the screen and well, probably could just skip most of the last couple of episodes other than the victory over the bad guys and then a brief happy moment reunited with the baby in the final episode. Just stop watching at that point. Was this review helpful to you?
