This series has an interesting plot from start to finish
This drama had been on my Plan to watch - list for a long time and I thought that it would probably stay in that category for good. I like to surf and search for older Asian series on YouTube because they are often more to my taste than the newer ones. So I stumbled on this series also by an accident and actually it took me couple of hours of watching it before I realized that it was one of the series I've been hoping to find.I must say that even though the acting was not top notch from all the cast members, the plot was interesting and kept me intrigued all through the show. I easily give up on a show if it becomes too predictable or repetitive but here I did not have these issues and was interested to see how the story unfolds. It somehow reminded me of a Korean show called A love to kill, maybe cos they both have young, up-coming actors in them, they are melodramas and have, at least for me, plot twist that I did not see coming.
In my opinion Yin Xiao Tian did an excellent job playing his role as Han Din and was the most interesting character of the show. He also carried most of the scenes which he acted together with Yu Na. Yu Na was okay in happy or neutral scenes but when it came time to play sad or anxious etc. she missed the mark. Big time. But for me she did deliver in the biggest thing which was to be a beauty. The character needed to be dreamily gorgeous for me to believe the obsession of these two men. And that she was! Liu Ye was OK for me with his puppy eyes and played his character believable.
So if you are also interested in older melodramas without overly dramatic (memory lost, secret adoption, somebody falls of the cliff but suddenly comes back to life etc.) plot twist, this might be the series for you 🤗
